With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
ASTRID SØRENSEN ’s parents, Magnus and Gemma, had her young when they were nineteen years old. They were together for roughly a year, before splitting on amicable terms and remaining friendly. They eventually both married other people and had children to them, however to Astrid, her half-siblings were just as good as full-siblings and she grew up being close to them despite the age gap. Although it may have appeared strange to outsiders, Astrid’s holidays were often spent together with both her parents, their partners, and her siblings.
Just to keep things easier, I'll list the marriages and kids here, then expand a little below:
Gemma and Robert Kwon Callisto - 15 years old
Magnus and Mary Sørensen Perseus - 20 years old Ophelia - 17 years old Apollo - 15 years old
PERSEUS SØRENSEN (20)
half-sibling
TRAINEE HEALER. EX-HUFFLEPUFF. JOHN BOYEGA.
Despite the six year gap between them, Perseus and Astrid are the closest out of the half-siblings, and he has always been the one out of them all to believe that Astrid is a seer. This is mostly due to Astrid telling him to watch his step when he was four. He didn't listen, ran down the stairs and consequently broke his leg. Ever since then, he's taken her little warnings seriously.
As for Perseus' personality, he's incredibly loyal, loving, and laid-back except when you challenge him on things that he knows are right. Then he'll argue with you until he's blue in the face, and becomes stubborn as a bull. But the rest of the time, you can find him laughing, pulling little jokes on his family, etc.
Out of the lot, Ophelia is the wild child, straight in the middle of a teenage rebellion just because she can (or maybe there's a reason why that you're welcome to think of). She's probably the one who clashes the most with Astrid, purely because she's skeptical of her sister's gifts. She doesn't think that seers are a real thing because if they were, why didn't she predict events a, b, and c?
Despite her current rebellious behaviour, Ophelia is a nice person. She has many friends, and she's fairly popular too.
Callisto is the only child to Gemma and Robert Kwon, and sometimes this makes her feel lonely despite being surrounded by her much older half-sibling Astrid and the Sørensens whilst she was growing up.
As for Callisto's personality, she is considered be a bitch by most of the student population. This is because her tolerance for idiots during class is low, and she's determined to succeed.
Apollo is the youngest of the lot and he is, in all honesty, just trying his best to fit in at Hogwarts and kind of failing. He's a bit of a know-it-all, too eager to impress, and therefore gets painted with the brush of 'try-hard loser.' It's a bit soul-crushing for him, but he keeps on keeping on.
