With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Levi was bored that day, he had finished all that needed to be finished and was now left with exactly nothing to do. It sucked, it truly did since he never liked actually working on things all at once but he had made an exception and now here he was and now the boredom struck. The Gryffindor simply sighed and walked to the Trophy room just to browse at those who had came before him. Levi wanted to be a great Quidditch star one day but he had to get through school but he also had to learn. Levi walked into the Trophy room and instantly went to the Gryffindor trophies from previous Gryffindors who came before him.
“If you look closely enough you might find a trophy with Uncle Gwaine’s name on - it’ll say Gwaine Ross, Troublemaker King. Totally hand made by him, of course. Probably charmed in some way so the professors can’t move it.” The purple haired girl grinned at her other half as she jumped on his back. “You might even find one he awarded to the professors themselves for surviving his reign.” She giggled and rested her chin on Levi’s shoulder. He was much taller than her; this was the only time she was able to return the favour for all the times he used her shoulder as an armrest. “Watcha doing in here?” She had been wandering past after parting ways with a friend and spied her brother sneaking around.
Levi wasn't surprised when he heard the familiar voice of his twin sister, he couldn't help but smirk when she mentioned the trophy, he had heard about the trophy but never fully seen it, but he looked for his uncle's name and couldn't help but chuckle when he seen his uncle's hand made trophy. "This totally gives my scheming head so many ideas on what I can do. Uncle Gwaine is definitely going to be outdone before I leave Hogwarts" he chuckled in amusement. This is going to be fun for Levi. "He was amazing when in Hogwarts, you have to give him credit for his ideas" Levi had heard the stories and knew his uncle was a legend.
When asked why he was in there, he shrugged and put the trophy back before turning to Darcy. "I was extremely bored" he couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "What are you doing in here?" Levi asked.
“You want to steal Uncle Gwaine’s reign?” A well acted look of shock appeared on Darcy’s face as she gasped loudly. “He’ll be heartbroken at the betrayal!” Their mum had good dramatic skills - it was required for a ballerina - and Darcy may have inherited those skills. She had learnt how to refine them perfectly at a young age. The amount of times their uncle had given in and bought her ice cream because she could cry on demand...ah, good times.
A grin spread out on her face as she started laughing. “You do have the additional benefit of having an awesome twin sister who’s willing to help you in any and all mischief you want to cause.” The familiar Ross twinkle shone in her eyes as her mind started thinking of joint pranks they could pull. They used to it all the time as kids and it had taken their parents a while to catch on to the fact they were working together. She could still remember their parents trying to figure it out - ‘Levi was at the park with me, it couldn’t have been him!’ quickly followed by ‘but Darcy isn’t tall enough to reach it! It couldn’t have been her!’ then followed by silence and a sudden joint ‘...they’re working together.’ It was good growing up with a constant partner in crime.
“I spied you in here - decided to come see what trouble you were causing!” She beamed brightly. “Thought maybe we could cause some classic Ross trouble together, like the good ol’ days! Thought people could do with a few laughs after what happened at the ball and all...”
He couldn't help but chuckle when his twin sister mentioned how he wanted to take the reign from his uncle. He loved his uncle he really did but Levi knew deep down he could beat him if he really wanted to. It wasn't self centered, it was definitely the truth. "Well I can't help it sis, I feel it deep in my bones that I can win, but Uncle Gwaine will be proud one day after I destroy him" Levi winked and chuckled.
Levi couldn't help but grin when he twin talked about what they can do together. It was so classic, their parents and older siblings never understood or knew they worked together. They were twins it was their family's fault for not catching on to it. Like when their older brother began to vomit from a candy switch the twins had made and they hid the evidence in their other older brother's room, it was classic because it was a fight to know why their brother could do such a thing while the twins hid in the background laughing their asses off. The twinkle in Darcy's eyes made him grin because it was the same twinkle he had. "You know we can do that, I mean we haven't pulled a prank together on this school since we started here. I think we need to change that" Levi mentioned.
The ball, he rolled his eyes on that, he didn't go since his date decided to go with someone else. "Yeah I heard about that, plus if it wasn't because of that it would have been the itching incident that I caused on my old date. I am still pissed she decided to go with someone else, that is why they were itching like crazy" Levi shrugged. "And the Ross Trouble? Oh no dear sister, it's the twin trouble, no one in our family has game like us, not even Uncle Gwaine, he always worked alone and was never as good as the stuff we come up with as partners in crime" Levi explained to Darcy.
