With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

HISTORY
Astrid Sørensen was born on a sunny spring morning to young parents Magnus and Gemma who were, much to Astrid's grandparents dismay, unmarried. After Astrid's birth, they stayed together for a year before deciding to split on amicable terms. They realised things were just not working out, and it was the best for everyone. Astrid spent her childhood split between visiting both her mum (who later married and had two other children), and her father (who also later remarried and had another child). There was never any resentment on either of her parent's end and, as peculiar as it was to outsiders, her mum, dad, step-parents and half-siblings often spent the holidays together.
As soon as Astrid started talking in fuller sentences at age two, her parents noticed that there was something odd. She would have these moments where she came out with things that seemed completely random at the time, but then they would come true, e.g. - At age three, Astrid told her mum to "be careful of your kitty cat mug, mummy." Later, Gemma broke said mug doing the dishes. - At age five, Astrid told her father to keep his eye out because he'd run into a special curly-haired lady in the bookshop. Quite literally, Magnus ran into this lady, Mary, at the bookshop who he ended up marrying. - At age ten, Astrid told her four year old brother to 'watch his step.' A few hours later, Perseus went to run down the stairs and slipped, breaking his leg.
Astrid's list of predictions went on and on, but she didn't make her first full prophecy until she was an adult in 2016, when Astrid was twenty two years old.
Astrid was in the middle of breakfast when her eyes glazed over and she went into a complete trance in front of her grandmother, voice deepening and she started saying, "Tonight is the night. Four will die, two will survive. It's coming, it's coming. A change is coming. The wizarding world will never be the same again." ThenAstrid slumped back in her chair, eyes rolling backwards. When her grandmother stirred her, she didn't remember a thing and despite the exhaustion of what had happened, she and her grandmother worked endlessly to decipher her prophecy... but came up short. It was only the next morning when they saw the front page of the Daily Prophet, splashed with memorial images of one dead Professor, three dead students and two survivors from a werewolf attack on Hogwarts that she realised what had happened. Astrid was beside herself, screaming and crying and doing things that were very uncharacteristic of her. She involuntarily admitted to St. Mungos by her concerned family, where she was given calming draughts daily and had to meet with healers trained in dealing with matters of the mind. She was in there for a month until she started recovering, although the guilt of not being able to save the students and professor in her prophecy still plagues her every day.
After being released from St. Mungos, Astrid spent a few years travelling and continuing her studies in the art of Divination, trying to find her true calling. A prediction told her to look at the newspaper one morning (something she didn't usually bother to do), and that's when she saw that Hogwarts was advertising for a new Professor. She went in over the Christmas break, had the meetings with Headmistress McGonagall and Professor O'Connor where she explained her abilities. As most people tended to be, they were skeptical of her being a seer, but figured that since the attack at the winter ball, having a potential seer on the faculty would be beneficial.
After all of the commotion that had occurred in the great hall and after being interviewed by aurors themselves, Vinda was not happy. What a waste of her time, they should have been interviewing solely the attackers. Not her. She had better things to do than stand around, talking to some Ministry officials and recounting her version of events. Her version - as if Vinda didn't remember clearly what happened, as if what she was saying wasn't factual and the gospel truth.
Pushing the loose tendrils of blonde curls over her shoulder, Vinda's head was lifted high as she walked the dimly lit corridors, heading straight for the Slytherin common room. She needed to get out of the heels she was wearing a.s.a.p. and she refused to walk along the ground without them. Who knew what germs the cold, concrete floor had picked up along the years? Who knew when somebody had last bothered to scourgify the ground? She wasn't about to risk losing a foot all because certain people didn't uphold the same hygiene standards as herself after doing unspeakable things on the dungeon floors.
It was when Vinda rounded the corner that she was met with a very unpleasant sight. "Are you trying to contaminate the masses with another form of bodily fluids, Rousseau?" she said, nose scrunching up as she withdrew her wand and pointed it straight at the young woman. "This is more for my sake than yours. I don't want my eyes to end up bleeding on account of... well, you." With that, Vinda cast a quick 'tergeo' over the girl, watching with a satisfied twist of her lips as all of the blood was siphoned off Kaylie's dress. "I'm surprised you weren't one of them, given your love for magical creatures." She was, of course, hinting at Kaylie's relationship with Alana Valentino who had all of a sudden outed herself as a creature of the night.
