With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Aria didn't like how her Christmas break was going, and she was still healing from being hurt at the ball. But her injuries weren't anything major despite having to have her leg be bandaged. But she was fine and her parents only seemed to care about the school, not about her own safety so the first chance she got, the witch got away from her parents. And went into Diagon Alley, to do some shopping. Despite getting a decent amount of things from her parents for the holidays. But she liked to buy things on her own time and time again.
She had stepped out of The Leaky Cauldron and began making her way down the alley, with her hands in her pocket. Watching as kids were spending time with their parents, aside from those who stayed back at the school. The witch soon came across Flourish and Blotts, and decided she would go on and see what was inside. Maybe pick up a few books and see if she could buy a diary. The witch did actually enjoy reading every now and again, it was relaxing for her.
The witch went over to the diary section, and begun looking through at the different options. And she began examining each of them, but soon was disturbed by an annoyance, and she rolled her eyes. "Do you fucking mind? Were in a bookstore." she said annoyed not caring if they pissed her off, and she set down the diary in annoyance, because she knew she'd have to deal with it.
Oswald had found himself at Flourish and Blotts to get his girlfriend a present for Christmas. The seventh year male had been stuck in Hogwarts due to the attack in Hogsmeade, and he didn’t get to buy people gifts. So the first chance he got, he went to Diagon Alley to do some Christmas shopping for his family and he knew he had to send some of the gifts back to Hogwarts because some of his siblings decided to stay there for the holidays - not that he blamed them. Their father had been hitting the bottle rather hard, and had been warned by their eldest sibling. It was best that they stayed so Samuel Tyrell can deal with his own problems.
Once he was at Flourish & Blotts shop, he had looked around trying to think of the perfect gift for his girlfriend. No one knew he had one, and he didn’t want to just publicly come out and say it. The male never eyed another girl at school, and remained loyal. Sure he went to the dance with his friend who was a girl but he made no move on her.
Ozzy had paused when he started clicking a pen at his side as he eyed the diary section of the shop. Maybe he can get one for his girlfriend and himself. Yes, males had journals, and he had some stored at the castle that he would write his thoughts in.
His thoughts were interrupted when a girl snapped at him. ”I apologize, lady.” he had said and stopped what he was doing.
Aria knew in many ways that she was rude, and most times one of the most irrational people you'd ever come across. But she knew the importance of certain subjects, and how you should be quiet in a book store due to how it was place meant for like minds to think and be quiet and when she heard the guy apologize, she rolled her eyes, "Weren't you taught proper etiquette in a book store." she asked with a bitchy glare as she looked at him with a glare.
But it didn't take her long to see who it was and she didn't know him personality, and she said. "If it isn't Oswald Tyrell." she said giving him a evil grin, "You know it's rude to call someone a lady. When I'm pretty sure I'm much more smarter than you. Plus I'd prefer to be called a princess, and I must what brings you here?" she asked with a look. She wasn't very happy to see him, and it was safe to say she didn't really know him but she knew the name all to well.
Oswald had raised an eyebrow at the female for a moment before he realized it was a fellow student, a girl in a year lower than him. Now she was being a bitch, and he wasn’t going to have it right then. Instead, he had turned fully to face her and raised an eyebrow at her. He was used to the treatment, and the hatred from others. Perhaps they were jealous of his family, and what they were. Jealous that they were well known to many. Ah, well. Even though he was told to treat a lady, or woman with respect, all that was off the table when the insults came out.
”Yeah, you’re not a princess in my eyes.” he had let out a low grumble and clicked the pen on purpose to piss her off entirely. ”And I’m here to do some Christmas shopping for the family. Why are you here?” he barked back as he clicked the pen once more, smirking.
