With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Aria's only motivation for getting ready for the ball had been looking the best and making everyone jealous. And she wanted to get everything together the night before, and she knew this had to perfect. So she had turned her part of the sixth year girl dorms to her benefit. Not caring if she bothered anyone, because she knew that she would top all of them off and that had been motivation. The witch looked at herself in the mirror with a smirk on her face. As she had been trying on her dress and had been looking through her makeup box to see what could look good.
The witch had been the worst when it came to trying to pick things out and taken forever to decide which makeup she wanted to use. Which is what annoyed people about her, but she didn't care about it. Although her preparations were soon interrupted by a knock, and she turned and she shouted back. "It's open. Unfortunately we can't lock them." she said curious who came into their dorms..
Nerves were settling in as Casey had been stuck on picking the outfit she would wear to the dance the next day. Sure, it was last minute but she had been working her ass off during Quidditch practice for the upcoming game. The seeker didn’t want to disappoint her team, and would take a loss badly if they were to lose. Even if she was tiny, and seemed to try to stay out of trouble - she had a temper when it came to things. There were times when she had punched a hole in the wall at home because of her father. Though when it came to Hogwarts, she didn’t want to show that side of her. It barely showed and it would come out if someone or something pissed her off.
Casey had been pacing outside the sixth year girl dorms for about five minutes before she had knocked on the door. She was hoping to find her date to the dance, but when she was told the door was open, she opened the door and was left disappointed. Instead it was Aria - and she had heard her brother complaining about this Ravenclaw a few times before.
The girl eyed the dress for a moment and gave her a weak smile. ”Sorry. I was looking for Mavican.” she said softly, rubbing the back of her head. ”The dress looks great by the way.”
Aria turned as she watched a girl she knew had been the seeker from for their house team and she knew that she was dating one of the girls who were in her dorm, and she said. "Well she isn't here at the moment." she said with a sigh giving her a smile. Even if Aria was usually a bitch, but tonight she didn't feel like being one. And when Casey had complimented on her dress, she smiled. "Thank you. It's a designer that my parents sent me, are you going to the ball?" she asked with an eyebrow raised hoping to make some conversation.
She walked over the girl, "Are you looking forward to going home for to the holidays, and seeing your family?" she asked. Hoping it wasn't too much of a friend and she added, "I know I am not exactly looking forward to going home to a purist family." she said with a shrug. It was no lie that Aria was an elitist, but she never would look down on muggles in the slightest because she knew some had interesting parts about them.

Casey would find her date later because she obviously wasn’t there, and it left Casey a little out of place because she barely knew some people in this dorm. So, the female had stepped away from the door, letting it shut behind her because she didn’t need anyone peeking in at her brother’s friend. Was she his friend? Casey had no idea what Jonah was going on about her because she barely paid attention whenever her brother brought up girl trouble when the siblings would hangout. ”Yeah, I’m taking Mavican. She kinda...forced me to take her after the stunt I pulled a few weeks ago.” she said with a tiny smile.
But it soon faded when Aria asked if she was looking forward to going home for the holidays, and she shook her head. ”I’m actually staying at the castle. There’s a lot of stuff going on back home, and I...don’t need the stress.” she had said, not really wanting to get into the details about her home life. ”Who you going with? To the ball I mean.”
