With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Damien wanted to enjoy some fresh air, and emotionally prepare himself for the Winter Ball that was two days away. So when he had some free time the Hufflepuff decided that he would go out by the lake. Then see what he could do outside, and maybe get some inspiration for his art work and the Hufflepuff made his way outside. Taking a look around the school grounds and saw from a distance the lake. Nothing could hurt looking at the water and see if could see the squib. The Hufflepuff walked over to the lake and looked and saw no one was there. Maybe a few kids who were sitting and reading, but it wasn't packed in the slightest.
He took a time to look at the lake, and saw that it definitely was calm, before he thought maybe he could try to skip stones. Therefore without hesitation the Hufflepuff picked up some stones. And looked at them with a sigh. Holding the stones in one hand, the Hufflepuff took one stone and threw and saw it didn't work. Anything that involved physical activity were not his forte, but he kept trying. The fourth one had been successful and the one after that was good.
For the next few minutes, he skipped stones. Enjoying the fresh air which he knew that he needed.

Casey had been beyond nervous about the Winter Ball coming up, and she couldn’t find Mavican or her own brother to help calm her nerves. Okay, maybe she shouldn’t tell her date that she was nervous about their date within two days from now. Last thing Casey Stevens wanted was to guilt her teammate and date about the whole ordeal. Mavican wanted to go, and Casey was going to be the perfect date. This was her first, and she didn’t want to mess it up. She knew damn well that there was a high chance of her screwing things majorly.
So, Casey had found herself outside getting the much needed fresh air and to hide the fact that maybe she was going to have a panic attack at any given moment. Once the fresh air had hit her face, she was able to breathe normally and walk around the grounds.
After a few minutes, she had spotted Damien by the lake and decided to see what he was up too. With her hands deep in her pockets of her jacket, Casey had walked toward him and smiled a bit as she noticed he was skipping stones. There was a time when Ciar would take her out to do the same to keep her mind away from the drama happening at the house. ”Hey…”
