With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

Kiernan was in one of those moods where he just wanted to sleep. It was the family holidays and of course the result of Casey rather being in school and his father making a presence here and there.. the tension was high. At some point Kiernan left the dinner table in silence, tossed his handkerchief on the table and walked off to the backyard.
He had tasked himself with making up the sofa in the backyard people use often for sitting outside in warm days and just put on a warm fire before lying down on the sofa, the fire keeping him warm and comfortable. Winters in this climate were basically colder springs. Snow? Oh hell no, it's 2018 where snow was as extinct as his brother's virginity.
The backdoor opened and Kiernan frowned. "Unless you got me a beer, I am not going back inside."

Donovan was a bit annoyed that his sister decided to stay at the castle instead of coming home for the holidays.Did he blame her though? No. She had done it a few times before, and he understood why. But this year their father was not living at home, and yet the bastard had shown up, expecting positive greetings. Instead there had been awkward silence at the dinner table besides their father talking about his life, and why Casey wasn’t home. Then brought up that the daughter in question was going straight to Hell for who she was. Even said that he had sent her an owl saying that he was praying for her. This angered Donovan, and he heard his mother scold the elder male.
At least she had stepped in before Donovan did, cause he’d happily risk his job to make sure this guy wasn’t breathing. No one talked about his sister, and he would make sure that the bullies at her school didn’t either. A sigh had left him as he excused himself from the table, heading over to the fridge and grabbed a couple of beers. Donovan rarely ever drank alcohol but when he did, he needed it.
He had opened the door, closing it behind him and rolled his eyes at his little brother. ”Got you a beer. And I’m not going back inside either. Dad’s making comments about Casey that makes me want to kill him.” he said as he sat on the arm of the sofa. ”I stepped out before I did it. Ciar is heading out to walk the block.”
Kiernan looked up from the sofa and frowned when it was Donovan with an actual beer. Well that was unexpected yet very much needed. The beer, not his brother. Donovan said how he wasn't going back in there either and Kiernan just took the beer before twisting the cap off and tossing it over the fence into the neighbor's backyard. It's not like he gave a damn about them.
Kiernan sighed and took a sip of his beer. "Dad's a dick and we all know it. Why was he even invited?" he asked and shook his head. "Honestly his hatred for Casey is bullshit and poor Finn is probably trying to fix the situation right now." he said and closed his eyes for a moment, running a hand over his face before opening his eyes again.
"Why is her existence such a problem? She is a badass for a girl and all he sees is an abomination." he said and shook his head before sitting up and turning to look at his brother. "Poor mother.. she doesn't deserve it either." he said and took another sip.

Donovan had a feeling that his father wasn’t invited, instead he had shown up and their mother wasn’t entirely happy with it. But did they speak up and tell him he wasn’t welcome in this house anymore? Sure, they did but he would go off on telling him that he had paid for the house and he shouldn’t have been kicked out of it in the first place. But their mother had won a few things during the divorce, and the house was one of them - in fact, she had paid for all the repairs in the past few years. This wasn’t something he wanted to think of during his holiday.
”He wasn’t invited. That’s the thing but mom being the polite woman she is, decided to let him have a plate. If Casey was here, it would be a different case. Mom would have sent Father off without much of a second look.” he said as he untwisted the cap on his beer bottle, looking out into the night. It was bloody cold outside but he wasn’t going to complain.
”You know him, he wanted all boys and he wanted his daughter to act like a lady. And we all know Casey is far from a lady. I’m proud of the kid. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, and it scares me sometimes. I think she has a lot of mom in her than she’d like to admit.”
Kiernan hated his father and truth be told he was trying to stop himself from beating the shit out of him. The male looked at his brother who explained how mom would turn the man away if it wasn't for Casey being in school and though he had a point, Kiernan called bullshit. Kiernan let out a sigh and just shifted on the couch, sipping from his beer before even saying a single word about this.
"Well if he wasn't invited he needs to get the fuck out. Before I throw him out." he said with a warning tone in his voice. He was the biggest of the sons, the strongest and he wouldn't hesitate to kick his father out, throw him out. "I am ashamed being his son you know that?" he said and shook his head.
"All I did when I was younger was look up to the asshole until I saw how he treated our little sister. She doesn't deserve what he does to her." He said with a frown and looked at the bottle.
