With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Some people thought it was odd that Chelsea was dating someone who was in their last year of Hogwarts. The redhead was actually looking forward to seeing Ozzy and she knew that with the holidays and the dangers in the world she had to wait for him at the train station so she could take him home to her place. Coming home with Ozzy was one of the best things that happened to her and she couldn't wait for actual Christmas and his birthday.
The ginger was wearing nothing more than a shirt of Ozzy's while standing in her little kitchen to cook him breakfast. The young woman was actually quite pleased with her life the way it was. Her boyfriend was in her bed, her job gave her her vacation hours so she could spend time with him now she could.
The smell of pancakes was in the air as Chelsea started to cut up some bananas and chocolate.
After being picked up in Hogsmeade by his father, the entire journey home was depressing and once he had greeted his family, he had ditched and went to the train station to get to his girlfriend. If he didn’t have to spend Christmas with the Tyrell’s he won’t, and his father was still having a problem with the fact that yes, Peter was alive and didn’t want to come home. His father was destroying himself, and he wondered if the mother of the other children should step in and take care of his other spawns. And before one were to ask, yes he bought his family presents that they can’t have until Christmas day.
Oswald had woken up on his stomach after having fallen asleep in her bed like that the night before. He wanted to get as much sleep as possible. For a moment, he thought he was still at the Castle but once he sniffed and smelled the pancakes coming from the kitchen, he knew he was where he wanted to be.
The male had gotten out of the bed, letting out a yawn and had walked out of the bedroom without a shirt on.
He squinted at the sunlight and headed straight for the kitchen. There was a tired smile on his face when he saw her wearing his shirt, and he chuckled softly. ”Smells good here.”
Cooking was one of Chelsea's favorite things to do but since she lived alone in a small apartment in downtown London, she didn't get to cook often for more than herself. Chelsea wasn't lazy when it came to cooking, she was a firm believer of eating healthy. The ginger girl smiled when she heard footsteps approaching her from the bedroom. Ozzy was awake which was great! Now she didn't have to wake him up with the pancakes.
"Hey you." she said and smiled a bit as she put some sliced bananas in the batter and the chocolate chips. "Good, I am making banana and chocolate chip pancakes." she said and turned to look at him noticing he was shirtless and just standing there in his underwear.
"Sleep well?" she asked and looked him over before slipping a pancake on a plate. She added some banana slices and handed him his plate."I figured you could use some breakfast to keep your energy up."
This was the highlight of Oswald’s year so far, and he wasn’t going to forget that he had a girlfriend that cared for him. His family was kept in the dark because he didn’t want his father to not approve of her. But unlike his sister, he was dating someone who was also pureblood, and if they were to have children, it’ll make Samuel happy. Perhaps he’d be able to win his father over, make him change his will and let him take over the business when he’s old enough. Did Ozzy really want the responsibility? Maybe. He had already spoken to his father was about some changes to the family business.
There was a tiny smile on Ozzy’s face as he watched the girl he loved make breakfast, and perhaps he was quite comfortable for being half naked in her apartment. To him this was his home, he had stuff there at her apartment from his last visit.
”I did indeed.” he said with a small smile, moving into the kitchen, taking his plate. ”Thank you, love.”
Chelsea made herself a plate of pancakes as well and just looked at her boyfriend with a smile. He was special in so many ways, she loved him in many others. Sure she knew about his family, his sister who would take over his father's business but she never asked about the details, she didn't need to know. Ozzy knew her parents were into book stores, how she when she was old enough would manage her own in London. Chelsea took a bite from her pancake with a smile.
"How does it feel to be free from Hogwarts?" she asked softly. She used to love school, spend hours in the library and sometimes she missed it but then she heard about the attack, how people got hurt because of the werewolf situation and it was not like the school she remembered, not the times she remembered. "I'm so glad you didn't get hurt in that attack." she said and reached out for his arm.
Oswald had been stressed about the dance, and the fact that he had taken a friend. He had let his girlfriend know that he had a date, and there was no romantic feelings for his date. When the attack happened, he had pulled his friend away from harm and made sure she was safe the entire time. He could remember the screaming and the panic of the other students, but he had remained with Scarlett, covering her with his own body. The moment the attack had happened he thought that maybe he wasn’t going to see Chelsea again, and it bothered him deeply.
He had taken a seat at the table, taking a bite of the pancakes and he had let out a happy groan at the taste. Now this was something he can get used too quick. He loved that he can have meals that weren’t from a professional cook or a house elf.
”I honestly thought I was. I just kept my date safe and didn’t move until it was over.” he said and frowned a bit. ”I have nightmares of that night.”
He took another bite, and grinned. ”Cuddle with you?”
Sometimes she really missed school, she only just graduated and Chelsea really wished it was different. She wished she could go back, spend that final year with Ozzy but she knew that he had to do this alone, graduation was a big deal. Soon he'd be busy studying and getting his papers so he could become whatever he wanted to be. To become more than a student or a kid. Chelsea always wanted her own book store, it sounded silly but she liked it.
Chelsea moved to sit in his lap and just looked at him as he said how he felt at the dance, how he got nightmares off it. "Oh that's horrible I am so sorry." she said softly and kissed his cheek. "I'm glad your friend had someone like you to keep them safe." she wouldn't want anyone to get hurt either way.
"We can cuddle all day if you want, I mean I got you for the whole two weeks!" She chuckled and stole a bite from his pancakes.
Being with Chelsea made him feel human, and not the asshole people thought him to be. Sure, he had made several enemies, and came off as the biggest jerk but deep down he was hurting. He missed Peter, he missed having his family around the dinner table. He missed hearing his father saying he was proud of him, and that one broke him in a million different ways. His father loved him once, told him that he was one of his most trusted children but lately he hadn’t heard a word of positivity from his old man. All he wanted was for his family to be normal again. Maybe one day he would get his wish.
The male smiled a bit when Chelsea mentioned that she had him for the entire vacation time, and he was looking forward to what they could do together. ”Mmm….” he kissed her cheek as she stole a bite from his pancakes.
Chelsea had thought about many things they could do for the holidays but the best thing of course was exchanging gifts. The blonde kissed her boyfriend's nose before hopping off his lap and heading for the tree she had set up weeks ago. Chelsea loved turning her apartment into a Christmas miracle. Something always felt good about it, the decorations, the fake snow on her windows and her cats rolling around in the wrapping paper as she tried to wrap up some gifts.
"I got you some presents. Just be careful I had to get some from my father from Italy and it's... fragile." she had a small turqoise cat statue for on his nightstand made out of the finest glass Florence could provide. She made sure of it because she might be a nice person but she legit wants to give her boyfriend the best of the best.
"Also I know you said you loved Buttons's fur but she got a nest a while back and.." she grabbed a kitten from the cat bed. "You should have her, I didn't name her yet but.." she walked up to him, holding the sleepy kitten out.
Being with Chelsea made him forget his troubles he had with his own father, and even though he wasn’t one to bitch about it to others, she knew how much emotional pain he had been in for the past several months. He had explained to her how his father had pretty much pushed him out of the business, and barely spoke to him unless it was pure hatred. Yes, Oswald would not hear the end of it and it’s why he decided to spend the whole holiday with his girlfriend rather being at home with his drunk of a father. There was no way in hell Ozzy would be able to bite his tongue.
”I got you presents too…” he said with a grin, wanting to go unpack his bag further but he was going to wait. He cocked his head to the side as he watched her, taking a few more bites of his breakfast when she had grabbed a kitten from the little bed. He saw them he arrived, and wanted to cuddle with them but they looked so peaceful.
His eyes went wide when his girlfriend presented him with a kitten, and he let go of his fork, having it fall onto the table. ”Oh my god. She is such a beautiful baby girl…” he said and took the kitten, hearing it mew weakly. ”Aw. Hey baby…”
There was no way that she didn't know how much her boyfriend loved kittens. Ever since Ozzy arrived he was looking at the babies, the furry little buns sleeping in their little bed together. Chelsea had been wanting to tell him to get one for himself sooner but this seemed more romantic and festive to do instead. With a smile on her face she watched him take the kitten from her. She knew he had presents for him but Chelsea really just wanted to give Ozzy his own first.
"I am leaving her name up to you, sounded more fun right?" she asked and picked up buttons, cuddling the tired mother cat. "Look, Ozzy loves one of your babies.." she said and grinned a bit. The look on Ozzy's face was worth so much more than she could imagine, Chelsea's heart fluttered because of that.
"She is trained by the way and I have taken her to the vet for her shots as well as getting her fixed because the last thing you need is a litter on Hogwarts." Chelsea already imagined all the students wanting to rush and get kittens without taking proper care of them.
Oswald had cuddled the kitten, and pressed his face against her fear while he listened to Chelsea. It made him smile like an idiot when the kitten put her paw on his nose, and then the claw. He made a small happy nose and moved his face to kiss the paw that was on his nose. The kitten was adorable, and he knew he was going to have a hard time naming her. He needed to see what her personality was like, so he just decided to not name her right that moment. Instead the kitten struggled against him and he had put her down so she can venture around the apartment and attack her siblings.
”She is so cute. She’ll remain nameless for now because I gotta see her personality.” he said with a tiny grin as he watched as the kitten pounce one of her brothers or sisters. They needed some sibling time before he would take her away from them and at Hogwarts. Perhaps Parker would let her play with Jack.
”That’s the best present you can give me.” he said and moved a hand to pet Buttons. ”I’ll take good care of her mama.”
Kittens were the perfect gifts no matter what people said. Chelsea was highly convinced of that fact and she really felt like she made the right choice giving him these gifts. The love Ozzy had for cats was beautiful to see and the blonde wished she had done this sooner, giving him a buddy to play with. The girl looked at Ozzy cuddling with the kitten and her heart was melting.
"I get that, I mean I haven't named Buttons until a few weeks after." she said and grinned a bit. "Though with Mittens i had to because... she has mittens!" Chelsea said with a chuckle and hummed. "Then there is my habit to name them after book characters." she blushed a bit. Chelsea was often quite caught up in her books that she felt like her world revolved around them.
"I am happy you like the present." she said and leaned in to kiss him. "I think I'll get her fixed now she had her nest.. I just wanted a next generation of her babies." she said softly.
Ozzy watched as his kitten played with her siblings, and he let out a chuckle as she fell face first into the floor after attempting to pounce her brother. He looked up at Chelsea with a big smile, kissing her back and he nodded. Of course he was happy with his present, and maybe it’ll help him with his mental health problems he had been having since his brother had gone missing. The moment he had found out that Peter was alive, he wanted to leave and find him, but his sister had told him to let Peter come to him. There was no way he was going to risk his brother any danger. Perhaps he should write him sometime.
Oswald had stood up from the seat and kissed his girlfriend softly before putting up a finger. ”I’m going to get your present in the bedroom. Give me a minute.” he said and headed out to go get the box he had. He had bought a few things for her because she was his girl and she deserved to be spoiled. He had taken the few boxes out of his bag before he moved back to the room she was in.
He held out a tiny box, smiling a bit. He had managed to get a ring for her, something that he was looking forward to giving her. +
Chelsea was quite the person who wanted to make people around her happy. She'd never go by a day without making her loved ones smile and that is what made her so special. She was the nerdy girl who loved reading books, share chocolate with her friends and watch the stars. She was the girl who'd bring smiles on faces because she cared so much, because she cared about those people. Sure she was down for adventure but that meant that people had to deal with her asking millions of questions. The blonde happily returned the kiss her boyfriend gave her.
Making him happy was something she loved to do because she loved him. She loved his smile, his laugh and just the thought of him being in Hogwarts and having something to remember her by while he was gone. "I don't want you to leave... I'll miss you.." she admitted and pouted a bit when he told her he had a gift and she had to wait right there. The girl fiddled with her shirt and just waited sort of patiently. Patience often came easy with her but when it came to Ozzy it just didn't.
Chelsea smiled when he came back holding boxes and let out a giggle as she grabbed the little box. "Oh what is.." she opened it slowly and gasped. "Ozzy it's.. beautiful.." she said and slowly took the ring out of the box. "I don't know what to say.." she said softly and stared at the ring like it was made by aliens.
