With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Dallas watched his fiancee after she kissed him and ran a hand through her blonde locks. God he loved those long blonde locks. Dallas rose an eyebrow and looked at the other two before looking at Artemis. "Wait what now.." he then followed her to the showers. Yeah he wanted to know more since he felt no shame in beating up an old man. Then again it sounded just very sad and Dallas still wanted to hear more.
Mara looked at Peter and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. She loved him and she wanted to make him feel better. The girl looked at Peter and kissed his cheek. "We are safe here remember? You told me so." she said and ran a hand through his hair. She loved him and she wouldn't let the russians hurt him.
Peter had to believe that the Russians wouldn’t come after him, that he’d be safe and he would be happy here. He had to believe that Mara and the others won’t leave him, that they won’t kick him out because of his episodes getting out of hand. He feared that they’d tell him to go find another place to stay, to seek help but Peter trusted no one. It took him awhile to trust the others, and he barely let anyone else touch him beside his girlfriend. There was silence for a moment as he tried to relax his racing heart he didn’t know was racing moments before.
Peter had leaned his head against hers, closing his eyes. ”I know.” he said softly, his hand finding her cheek. ”I want the nightmares to stop. They’re getting worse. So much…” he frowned and couldn’t finish the thought. ”I don’t want to lose you.”
Dammit.
Meanwhile in the bathroom Artemis had started to take off her clothing. ”Yeah, apparently his granddaughter went missing two years ago. It was a sad story but I gave him something. Reminded me of my grandpa.”
Mara would do anything for him in a heartbeat but this was the closest thing to a home they got. Everyone here looked out for each other and Peter told her they shouldn't run anymore even with the laws getting out of hand like they do. Maybe living in the muggle world wasn't such a bad thing. The nightmares of his were horrible for sure and she barely let him out of her sight these days because he seemed so hurt and upset by them.
Mara leaned into his touch and kept her arms wrapped around him. "They can't hurt you, it was just a bad dream.." she assured him, he wasn't going to lose her. "And they can't hurt me either okay?" she could see that it disturbed him. Did they hurt her in his dreams? Did they try to get to her to get to him? She wouldn't let them, not ever.
One of Peter’s greatest fears was to lose Mara to those Russian men that had taken him moments after the attack on him if they had found him again. Even though he had nightmares, he felt safe at this cabin. It was out of the way, away from any living soul. They were miles out from the nearest store, and he was enjoying the freedom, enjoying not looking over his shoulder every five minutes. They were all werewolves in this cabin, they can sniff someone out if some strange figure was within several yards from the cabin. They were safe, he had to remind himself that no one was going to be after him.
There was a nod from the male when she told him that she was safe, and that no one was going to hurt her. He hated when she would leave the cabin without telling him, and he wanted to go off on her for not telling him beforehand. He was terrified that someone can get her whenever she wasn’t near him. This was one of his greatest fears, and he needed to tell her to start letting him know when she leaves.
”Before you go out again, let me know. Please. I almost took Dallas’ head off because I seriously thought someone got you.” he said as he leaned his forehead against hers. ”Or leave me a note where I can find it easily.”
Mara wasn't planning on getting caught by the Russians. They were hunting them like dogs and so far they were really good at hiding their location. She had been careful, tried to be safe. Honestly sometimes she thought that it was over but Peter's ptsd, his nightmares and his constant fear of being caught knew it wouldn't be over for a long, long time. Mara didn't feel safe in England but they had no place to go, the options of running getting slimmer by the day.
Mara just stroked his cheek and smiled a bit. "I promise. I'm sorry to scare you like that." she felt really bad now and she wanted to make it better, make him feel better. The girl took his hands in her own and guided him to the couch. He needed cuddles, that would cheer him up for sure!
"I got you christmas gifts." she told him hoping it would cheer him up a bit. "Really cool ones too, thank god for my dad still funding me." she said and sat down on the couch.
