With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
There were small groans from Charlie as she sat down in the common room, taking her shoes off and resting a leg on the other so she can rub her sore foot. There was low grumbling from the fourth year as she massaged her foot, and she had sent one of the boys from her year a glare as he was giving her an odd look. Charlie was so going to blame her sister for making her go to this dance, but she had fun like Olivia had said she would've. Sometimes she wished she didn't listen to the older Hufflepuff but she loved the idiot sometimes.
Her eyes lit up when she heard the door open, and she saw the very sister in question walk in. "Ollie!" she called to get her attention. Who knows if she was day dreaming about this Gabriel Avery again. It was quite annoying whenever her sister would bring the guy up, but she knew that this was her first relationship.
Ollie actually had been looking for David, she wanted to ask about his next chapter and how he was doing after the dance. Her wrist was in a cast because of what happened to her at the dance. She didn't need to think of that right now, she was glad most of her siblings never experienced what happened and just walked into the common room, yawning as she did so.
There was a callout for her name and the girl turned to look to where it came from. "Hey Charlie." she said and walked up to her sister, she loved the girl and she was the only sister she had in the same house as herself. Ollie cocked her head to the side and sat down beside her, pulling her legs on her lap.
"I have only one good hand but I can try." she said and reached for Charlie's feet. "How was your day?"
Charlie was kidding when she told her sister to rub her feet, knowing damn well that her sister was injured due to what had happened to her at the dance. Last thing she wanted was for her sister to actually rub her feet, but then, she saw her sit down and took her legs into her lap, making the fourth year grin like a complete idiot when her sister grabbed her foot. The grin stayed on her face as she shook her head as Olivia spoke. She wasn’t going to complain about the free foot rub, I mean who wouldn’t? If someone wanted to do it, so let them do it.
”Well, besides walking around with blisters on my feet. It went well.” she said and eyed her. ”You know I was joking about the foot rub, right? I don’t want you hurting your other wrist.” she said and looked at the cast on her wrist.
Ollie didn't want to think about what happened at the dance, it depressed her too much and she didn't like feeling the way that made her feel. Her bright blue eyes were on Charlie's feet as she massaged them and ignored the pain her wrist was in. Honestly she just wanted her sister to have fun but she felt like maybe she just pushed a bit too far with it.
"How did you even get blisters? Were the shoes new?" she asked and grabbed her wand. "Sit still." she muttered and started mumbling healing spells she used on her own feet whenever she walked into new shoes. New shoes were such a pain, literally when it came to her feet.
"Well now they are all healed and you don't need to have a foot rub." she said and sat back with a small smile. "My wrist is fine really. I never broke a bone before but the nurse gave me a healing potion and told me to wear the cast until the potion did its magic. Did you ever taste a potion like that? It's disgusting." she said and made a face.

Charlie was never going to listen to her sister again when it came to a dance or anything that required movements of the feet and hips. It was bad enough that she had to get new shoes for the dress due to needing it to match. People didn’t expect Charlie to wear a dress, but she was always full of surprises when it came to things like that. But no more dances, and she was going to tell the next person who tells her how to do the dating thing, to shove their wands up their ass. This made her grumble here and there.
Once Olivia had pulled out her wand, doing her magic, Charlie made a face. ”Yeah, they were new. Now they’re buried in my trunk cause I’m not wearing those things again.” she said, keeping her feet in her sister’s lap.
Her head tilted to the side with a frown. ”I wish it was me and not you.” she said, looking at the wrist. ”Oh yeah. Remember when I broke my foot last year? I was just moving around with that damn brace on my leg while it healed.” she shuddered at the reminder.
Ollie loved her little sister and she didn't think that her going to the dance would actually hurt her feet. Then again maybe Charlie was lucky that her feet was the only thing hurting her because lots of students got badly hurt. The girl healed her sister's feet and smiled a bit as she did so. At least she helped her out when she could. Ollie one day wanted to be a real healer and help people.. maybe not just in a hospital but also outside of the hospital.
"They looked good on you though." she said hoping that would make her sister feel a little better. She looked amazing and her girlfriend seemed to have liked it too since they danced together. "Mum and Dad wrote me, we can stay in school for the holidays but I have to stay and look after you and Clary, Davey will stay too." she said and smiled a bit.
"Mum and dad are still renovating the house but we will get our presents sent to us and they're taking the little kids to London to meet Santa." she said and smiled a bit more. When Charlie looked at her wrist and said she wished it was her the other girl shook her head. "Don't think that Charlie! I wouldn't want you to be hurt by a tree instead of myself."
Ollie patted her now healed feet and smiled a bit at her sister. "You two seem really happy. Are you spending time with her this Christmas?" she asked as she looked at her younger sister.
Charlie had thought about the dance, and what she could have done differently. If her girlfriend didn’t have a death grip on her, she would have tried to find her siblings and protect them from harm. Part of her was thankful because she knew if she was hurt herself, she wouldn’t hear the end of it from their brother. David could be a jerk sometimes, but she knew he was overprotective when it came to the girls in the family. Maybe it was because he didn’t want a boy to take advantage of his sisters, and she had seen the looks David was giving Gabe every time the boy was around Ollie. Goddamn David needed a reality check. There was no way Gabe would hurt Olivia, right?
The girl had leaned back in her seat, her arms crossed over her chest as she kept her now healed feet in her sister’s lap. It had been a stressful aftermath, and she was curious as to why their parents would want them to be at Hogwarts after what had happened at the dance. If they were wise, they’d be taking all of them right out.
Charlie’s eyes left her sister’s wrist when her girlfriend was brought up, and she had shrugged. ”I have no idea. I will have to ask her when I see her later. she said with a sigh. ”I really like her.”
Family was beyond important and sometimes nothing could beat the sense of family. Ollie herself always had been very much a family person and she would never once want to see any of them get hurt. So of course she told Charlie off for feeling bad because she didn't look for her siblings. The dance was utter chaos and people genuinley got hurt there. Having sore feet was kind of a blessing compared to most student injuries.
Ollie looked at Charlie after she mentioned the girl she liked so much. It was Gabriel's little sister and Ollie really adored the girl. She believed they were meant for each other and she hoped the Avery's would accept Charlie as much as the Jones would accept Gemini. Ollie rubbed Charlie's leg and smiled at her.
"Did you tell her that?" she asked her younger sister. Charlie hadn't been like this before and Ollie knew she was really into Gemini. "I say you two spend as much time as possible together with Christmas, I can even help with getting her a gift." Ollie was going to be supportive for Charlie because she loved her and family support each other.
