With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
The dance was upon them and Ollie had been asked by Gabriel as his date. The girl was beyond herself about it but of course she also wanted to talk to her brother and ask him if he'd like to dance with her at the dance as well. She loved her brother and a part of her knew he probably wouldn't enjoy to go but it was worth a shot wasn't it? The blonde was seated at the Ravenclaw table and handed David his book back.
"I read all of it." she said and grinned a bit. "I love it, it's so good." If anything, David was her favorite brother and he probably knew it all too well. Ollie took some toast and reached for the butter.
"Your main character sounds so badass, how did you link her to me? Am I a badass?"
David wanted to eat breakfast, and get the school day over with so he can get back to writing his novel in his dorm room. The male was under some stress because of the upcoming dance, and he didn't have plans to go. No date. And David wasn't one to dance by himself, which would be weird and start a weird rumor if he wasn't careful. The Ravenclaw boy was seated at the table, eating toast when he heard his sister speak when she sat down at his table and handed his novel back to him. There was a low hum as he chewed on his breakfast as he looked at her.
"You are a badass in your own way." he said and smiled a bit as he put the book inside his bag before other people got nosy. "I'm actually working on the next chapter. Plan on writing more tonight while people are talking about this upcoming dance. You going?" he asked as he reached for his orange juice after he put his bag down.
David's book is something Ollie loved reading. He was so talented and Ollie loved him. David was by far her favorite sibling and she wasn't one to deny that. They had been close since they were little and Ollie just wanted to be close to him. Soon he'd be a seventh year and she'll have to do a year without him in school. With a smile she watched him put the book away.
"Oh really? I can't wait to see it." she said taking a bite of her toast and smiled as she did so. Ollie was actually excited to read more of his things. Ollie looked at him when he asked her about the dance.
"Of course, Gabriel asked me out." she said and grinned a bit. "Aren't you?" she asked him and cocked her head to the side.
David was looking forward to this dance so he can have some peace and quiet in his dorm so he can write his novel. He couldn't focus when people were loud and vocal about their problems, and this dance will help him in so many ways. Maybe he'll treat himself with some snacks, and work on that novel for the many hours his dorm mates would be breaking their backs on the dance floor. The mention of Gabriel made him almost choke on his food, and he looked at his sister with a concerned look on his face.
"You're going with Avery?" he asked as he pushed his plate away. "Please tell me he's not pressuring you into anything you don't want. I can have a chat with him." he offered, and looked at her. He didn't want his sister getting hurt by this slime ball.
David was a sweet guy and she knew he was protective over her. But Gabriel was a good guy and she knew it. The girl looked at her brother who's expression turned a bit upset? when she mentioned she was going with Gabriel. Ollie ate from her toast and rose an eyebrow when he asked about it.
"What kind of things? We had a picnic before and it was nice." she said and shrugged a bit. "He is sweet and gentle.." she added and smiled a bit. "He even calls me Olivia." she said and laughed a little with it. Honestly it was weird to be called her full name.
"You should go! Take Clary with you." she offered.
The moment his sister mentioned that she was going with an Avery, he decided that he will indeed go to the dance to make sure this boy didn't do anything stupid. If some guy tried to take advantage of his sister, he will send many hexes his way he'd have no idea where he's at. The male needed to relax himself before he pulled something. So he just gave his sister a forceful smile, nodding a bit. Not a bad idea. Take Clary with him, and he'd be able to keep an eye on all his sisters. Good.
"Good idea. I'll go. Take Clary. Have fun." he said and smiled to himself. "Guess I gotta dust off my suit. I can't go in looking like a hobo."
Ollie knew David wasn't into dating and that was totally fine. Ollie wasn't going to force her big brother into situations but their little sister was the sweetest person Ollie knew and she could use a date with her big brother so she wouldn't go alone either. The blonde gave David a smile before taking another bite from the toast.
"Clary will love it. She had been excited to go to a dance for weeks. I had to stop her from getting a dress out of the trash of fasion stores because daddy would not like her dumpster diving." she said and sighed a bit. She knew Clary was just an adventurous girl but the dumpster diving was dangerous.
"You're not a homo! I mean not that there is something wrong with.. oh I mean hobo! Oh dear lord." she said and buried her face in her hands. Her cheeks flushing red.
"Y-You'll look great." she said with her face still buried in her hands.
David was already planning which suit he'd wear, and he thought about how he will make his sister's nights fun and make sure Olivia didn't get hurt by this Avery. The male didn't trust the lot of them, and yes, he knew that his other sister is dating the female. At least he didn't have to worry about unwanted babies popping out with Charlie. For now. He was going to see how long that relationship last with her attitude, and he wondered if their parents had given them all the talk. Nope, he needed to get that out of his head now.
David sighed as he took a sip of his orange juice and ended up spitting it out when Olivia made the slip up. The sixth year Ravenclaw coughed a bit before he grabbed his napkin, wiping himself off and gave his classmate an apologetic look before he turned to his sister. Her reaction of the slip up, made him a little amused. "Well, thank you." he said and patted her shoulder. "No homo. No hobo."
Ollie felt like the biggest fool in the world. The slip up was just because she heard him wrong! There was nothing wrong with him being gay and she would support and love him still. Ollie was bisexual and very well and aware of that. Sure she never really dated anyone before Gabriel, she was just too scared to do so but David was a lot more grown up.
She felt the pat on her shoulder and just looked at David with her cheeks still red. "Oh okay, I mean it would be alright if you were gay! L-Like Charlie and Daniel who married that sweet nurse.." she said and blushed some more.
If David were gay, Olivia would have been the first to know and he wouldn’t have to tell her that he was interested in the dating thing. People didn’t attract him, and he didn’t care that people had tried to get him to ask them out but no, he didn’t see a point in it at all. ”Again, not gay. I mean, I would have told you if I was. And isn’t Charlie bisexual? She had a boyfriend before…” he said as he glanced toward the Hufflepuff table to spot their sister giving her girlfriend a slice of toast. Cute. An Avery. That’s the last thing David needed for his sisters.
He made a face as he looked at his sister, cocking his head to the side. ”Yeah, I’ll talk to Clary later. If you see her before I do, tell her to come to me. You know where I usually hide when I’m not in classes.” he said, bumping her shoulder.
Ollie had come out as bisexual a year ago when she was kissed by a girl. Sure she was like a flapping fish and didn't know how to respond to it but she did enjoy it. The attention, a girl liking her as much as a boy does. To her there was little difference and she liked to keep it that way. The girl ate from her toast and glanced over at David who assured her that he wasn't gay.
"I believe you." she told him and eyed Charlie and her girlfriend. "I don't know if she did, i don't really keep up which is bad isn't it?" she chuckled. "I do think those two look cute together! Don't you?" she asked him and knew very well that David wasn't a big fan of the Avery family.
Honestly she didn't have a problem with them, they were just kids like herself and David. "Oh yes I think she has class soon but I'll find her in class and tell her to come find you." she told him and ate from her toast some more until she was finished.
David eyed his sister for a moment when she asked if he found Charlie and Gemini looked cute together, and he didn’t comment. He refused to acknowledge that his sisters were dating Avery’s. They could do so much better but he wasn’t going to get into a debate with Ollie because she would always win. Maybe he needed to relax, and just let his sisters make their own mistakes, date that family and regret it soon after. The male sighed as he moved to pour himself more juice, looking toward the table, shrugging a bit.
”Yes, I have a suit. In fact, I have two I’ve packed up. You never know if you need them.” he said as he brought the cup to his lips, taking a much needed sip. ”Just torn on which one. I’ll show you later.”
