With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Killy was bored that day, she had finished work early that day and had the night off and didn't work until the next night. She didn't mind answering phones and doing paper work, she knew that she was a valuable asset to her job when it came down to it. If it wasn't for her then there would be no smoothness. The young girl got dressed in an outfit to go out that night, she needed some kind of relief from all her tensions. Killy walked out of her duplex and to the nearest bar near her. She lived in the wizarding world but still close to the outside. She walked into the bar with her a strut in her walk and a seductive look on her face. Tonight if she got some or not, she was going to have one hell of a time and let loose. This was her time to have some fun instead of worrying about work and family.
Ciar was leaning on the bar sipping from the beer bottle as he listened to the chatter near him. He was supposed to meet his oldest brother there but sometimes he knew Donovan was always late for one thing or another. His brother's job was demanding, and he knew damn well that he was probably not going to show up now that his brother was extremely late for drinks. Then again, this bar wasn't his brother's scene. He knew the male rarely ever drank alcohol and preferred tea over anything else. Eh, whatever.
His eyes fell onto the clock on the wall, and he was about to get up and leave but then he noticed a female enter the bar as if she was on a mission. He male stared for a moment as he waved the bartender over to order her a drink. If looks could kill.
As Killy made her way inside the bar and to the bar top itself she grabbed a menu and decided to look at what she'd like that night. Hell she'd take anything at this point but she also didn't want to get drunk all the way in case she took someone home or someone took her home, hell Killy would be down for whatever that night. Killy looked around occasionally to see if there was anyone that she could potentially take home, but her eyes were drawn back down to the menu, two things sounded really good and she didn't know which one she'd like to consume first. Killy subconsciously began twirling a piece of her dark hair around with her fingers. From the corner of her eye she saw a handsome guy and with a flirty look she looked at him before turning back to her menu.
Ciar had his eyes on her for a moment before he had pushed himself from the bar, grabbing the new two drinks from the bar and headed toward the table. Sure, he would sometime wait for the woman to come to him, but he was going to do the first move. If she wasn't interested, he wouldn't care much. He can make friends, not random lovers. He didn't care if he went home with someone or not. He wasn't expect it anyway due to him being there to meet with his older brother, who was a no show.
The male smiled as he reached the table, cocking his head to the side. "Hello there."
As she was looking at the menu she felt a presence and looked up to see the handsome guy she was looking at. Killy had to admit up closer he was gorgeous, she looked up at him with her brown eyes. "Hey there yourself" she replied.
She had no idea what would come out of tonight but she wasn't going to blow away the night when it came to this handsome tall glass of water in front of her. She was going to cherish this.
Over the past couple of months, Ciar had been trying to cool it with the random women, or even the men (he kept those a secret) but tonight felt like it was going to be entirely different. Perhaps it was because he already had a few drinks in him and now he was there, in front of a gorgeous woman. He swore he had seen her before but he can’t think of where, and so he just shrugged it off.
”The bartender gave me two of these, and I really shouldn’t drink both by myself. Would you like one?” he asked, gesturing to one of the cups, giving her a sweet smile.
Killy watched this handsome tall glass of water ask her if she wanted one of the drinks in his hand. She looked at it before smiling flirtatiously at him. A man who was also offering her a drink? In the back of her mind she heard her mother yelling at her for even thinking about taking a drink from a random stranger but she honestly needed a buzz right about now. Killy nodded her head. "Yes I would love to take that drink off your hands. Will you please take a seat and join me? I really do hate to sit and drink alone, it's quite boring if you ask me" Killy flirted. She was a natural when it came down to the opposite sex and she certainly thought the man in front of her would be fun company.
If people had followed Quidditch, they wouldn’t leave Ciar alone. Even though he enjoyed the attention the press gives him, and his team, sometimes it was nice to lay low. It was nice to not have fans hanging all over him, and of course there was a time he’d take them somewhere more private to give them a free show. Maybe let them sit on his broom. Ever since his engagement ended, he had found himself in the company of women and some men alike (no one knew that he had seen men naked). He didn’t trust himself in a long term relationship again.
When the woman agreed to have his extra drink, he couldn’t help but smile and he placed the glass in front of her before taking a seat across from her. ”So tell me, what brought you here alone?”
When he passed her the drink she smiled her thanks and took a sip of the drink. It was very good and she knew that it definitely was a drink that she never tasted before and it was very delicious. "This is very good, what is it? I have never tasted this before" Killy was very curious now. When he then proceeded to ask her what she was doing here all by herself she simply shrugged. "Well I am here alone because I was simply bored and needed some fun. Been working practically all week and needed a break from all of that. I needed to let loose a little bit. What about you? What brings you here?" Killy asked curiously.
Ciar didn’t have anything against women coming to the bar to have some fun on their own. Sometimes they would bring girlfriend’s along for the fun. But it was nice to have a one on one chat with a beautiful lady, like the one seated in front of him. ”It’s actually some rare scotch they have here.” he answered politely as he moved to take another sip of his drink. He then cocked his head to the side as she asked him what he was doing there, and he chuckled softly.
”My brother was supposed to meet me here but I think work sucked him into another dark hole. I doubt I’d be seeing him any time soon.”
Killy took another sip of her drink when he talked about how this was a rare scotch they had there. She wouldn't have thought it was scotch but it was definitely a good one. Usually she went for fruity drinks but this was definitely going to be a great drink to have when she goes out. "This is definitely good for sure, thank you again for bringing this over" Killy thanked again. It was then she realized that she had no idea what this man's name was and she instantly felt like an idiot. "I'm Killy by the way" she introduced.
When he talked about how his brother was supposed to be here but work got him. "Oh that sucks, I know sometimes my older siblings do that to be but I guess it's life in a way. So Mr. Handsome what do you do for a living?" She asked curiously.
Ciar had a lot of intentions when it came to pretty women, but he wasn’t going to force a girl to go out and have some adult fun with him. He tried to cool it, but in the end, he would find himself drawn in by women, and some men alike. There were times he’d go to a gay club to have some fun there but lately he hadn’t been in the partying mood. Tonight was different, tonight was going to be fun and if this girl didn’t want to do stuff with him, so be it. He’ll get over it.
”Ciar. It’s Irish.” he said, pointing it out because some people never heard of such a name. ”I play a professional sport.A team from my home country. Ireland.” he said with a small grin.
Killy wasn't really the spontaneous type since she was always working or had family issues that needed her attention but with her now being free from work and said family issues, she'd be damned if she spent her time in her home, she was going to be out and about and trying to have some fun. Whether or not it was with this guy was a different story. She wasn't going to be desperate and throw herself at him unless he wanted her, she had more class than acting like a skank.
"I like it, sounds very handsome just like it's owner" Killy smirked a little before finishing off her scotch. It definitely was a good drink to have. Killy nodded her head. "That's amazing, I don't follow sports often, just when it's on the television or if one of my siblings want to go see a game, then I go along for the show. Although what I see from the Quidditch teams it's very amazing and probably takes a lot out of a player" Killy exclaimed.
Ciar was one to be cocky about his skills in the field he worked, and he enjoyed the attention people would often give him sometimes. Other times he’d enjoy the peace and quiet, hide away in the corner of a pub after a win. Lately he had been turning down the women that had thrown themselves at him because of a win, and that he was a face in the papers. The male was one of the best his team had ever seen, and he had his brother to thank for protecting his ass every time a bludger would come his way.
Ciar couldn’t help but smirk a bit as she flirted with him, and he had cocked his head to the side. ”Yeah, the sport can take a lot out of a person. I mainly feel bad for the seekers. The extra stress on them while us chasers try to put numbers on the scoreboard.” he had said, and eyed the glass. ”Would you like another?”
Killy nodded when he talked about the seekers and their jobs at trying to find the snitches that were in the games. Killy wasn't one to play Quidditch in school and she could never see it as her career in life but for others to find pleasure in a good sport to watch that was good for them, they had more guts to play the game that she never could. "Oh from watching Quiddtich games in Hogwarts and then in professional games as well I can tell you I bless their souls everyday because I could never do any of that. It just looks very tough" Killy explained. When he asked if she wanted another, she simply nodded. "Yes that would be amazing, thank you so much" Killy wanted to have fun tonight and let loose.
