With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

evan oliver wood
SPECIES: wizard
BLOOD STATUS: half blood
JOB: student
HOUSE: Gryffindor
FACE CLAIM: chris hemsworth
BIRTHDAY: 2nd February 2003
PERSONALITY
Positive Traits: chivalrous, courteous, passionate {about animals}, good listener, loyal
Negative Traits: not the bravest, stubborn, needs to be useful {yes, it's a problem}, shy, can be judgemental
Quirks and Habits:
The typical middle child, Evan shies away from most things to do with the spotlight. He will literally always choose to help an animal over a human, except possibly when it comes to his family and even then if the house was burning down he'd probably reason that the animals need help over his more than capable brothers and parents. He hates that he has no interest in Quidditch but he is supportive and goes to every match - he spends time with the team healers instead of on the pitch like his big brother Thomas or begging mum for a ride on a broom like his little sister Emily. He desperately wants something to connect with his family, who are overall supportive of his interest in animals and general philanthropy... but it's not something that they find easy to 'chat' over at the family dinner table. So he's quiet and does his own thing most of the time.
Likes: animals, hugs, pumpkin juice, spending time in nature, the healing arts
Dislikes: cruelty to animals, muggle motorways (so many orphaned animals due to these), people crying, when people expect him to be good at or care about Quidditch, that he's not as accomplished as his big brother
Boggart: his parents disowning him because he doesn't play Quidditch
Mirror of Erised: running a small conservation zoo from his own manor, where he can rehabilitate and release all kinds of animals safely.
Patronus: emporer penguin
HISTORY
Evan was born the second child of the blessed union between Katie Bell and Oliver Wood. The pair had fought together in the Battle of Hogwarts and as luck seemed to have it, they were both scouted to Puddlemere United where love blossomed. In 2001, Katie and Oliver rejoiced with the news that their first bundle of joy, Thomas was on his way and Katie's active career on the team was put on hold.
In 2003, the family grew again to include Evan himself. It seemed as if the family almost lived on the Quidditch pitch, except that little Evan seemed more interested in making friends with the seagulls that pestered the players than playing with a mini-beater bat.
In 2006, Katie received the wonderful news that she was pregnant with their third child. It was a difficult pregnancy and Emily arrived a whole month premature. This was around about the time that his father received promotion to coach the Puddlemere United team - as well as Thomas.
In 2012, Evan waved goodbye to his big brother as he joined the first years in Hogsmeade. His family was Scottish so they did not ride the Hogwarts Express after all. Evan got distracted though by the tiny mews of a kitten in the bushes - this ended up being Mr Feathertail, the extreme fluff ball black and white cat that he nursed to health.
In 2014, Evan himself went to Hogwarts and was proud to be sorted into Gryffindor. Most of his family were Gryffindors, after all, so it was natural that he went there … except for about two seconds the Sorting Hat considered Hufflepuff for him instead. It couldn't find that characteristic bravery streak.
In 2018, Evan cheered when his little sister Emily joined the Gryffindor family. He kept her close at the table that night and keeps a watchful eye.
Roleplay example: In the very centre of class, an occamy feathered quill in her delicate fingers, Flora was wide-eyed as she watched Professor O'Connor's chalk scrawl the word werewolves across the board before them. What a thoroughly interesting subject! Flora was under the extremely misguided notion that her cousin Pierre was working selflessly to provide the very expensive, very time-consuming wolfsbane potion to poor, unfortunate souls. She had always found the nature of the beast quite fascinating and had assisted Pierre in his harvesting of the most important ingredient during the holidays. She was just raising her perfectly polished hand when the Prof caught out her Hufflepuff classmate trying to skip class. Her thin lips pulled at the corners as she tried to keep her face in a smile, despite the reality of being quite disgruntled by just how rude Skylar was being.
Then Dio, the little crazy half-beast, tried to take a 'a breather' too before class had even actually begun. Weakling. Her smile faltered as she hoped that points wouldn't be deducted from her house because Dio'd left his balls on his night stand. Flora ventured to raise her hand once again, but this time Potter piped up. Merlin, Maudred and Morgana, were all these boys on their rags today? Flora's dragonhide boots tapped gently, impatiently, on the cobble stone floor as she raised her hand a third time.
"I know that werewolves can drink a special potion - it's called wolfsbane potion - and it makes their change during the full moon that little bit less wild, I think? It's made from aconite, otherwise known as monkshood or wolfsbane and it's very hard to brew. The plant itself is quite poisonous, except for the root. I know this because my cousin.. he's a healer at St Mungo's in the plant and poisons ward," Flora said once she was selected by Professor O'Connor to share what she knew.
