With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

"Third room on the right after the fourth gargoyle," Wolfgang muttered to himself while making his way through the dimly lit fifth floor corridor. The heels of his gray monk strap shoes clicked against the stone floor in a steady rhythm. He was the only one in the corridor - after all, it was past dinner on a cold November evening - everyone else was huddling near the fireplace in their common rooms or hunched over a pile of homework due the next day somewhere in the library. He himself had a Potions essay to attend to, but at this moment Sopophorous beans were the least of his concerns.
One of his so-called friends, Scarlett Bianchi, had asked him to meet her at their usual spot. It was an abandoned classroom, which they used when their social group wanted to host cocktail evenings, where they'd discuss the latest news and trade in gossip. Wolfgang felt right at home, waltzing around the room with a glass of Vesper and eavesdropping on conversations. But tonight it would be just the two of them, as the note had stated. He was curious. Was there a particularly steamy secret she'd decided to share only with him? Or perhaps he'd be the one getting stabbed in the back on this lovely evening? Ah, never a dull moment when weaving webs of intrigue.
He unlocked the door and waved his wand, making the candle chandelier on the ceiling light up. The only piece of furniture in the room was a polished redwood cabinet, in which they stored liquor bottles. He opened the door of the cabinet, draped his silver blazer on top of it, pulled up the sleeves of his white button-up and got to work, conjuring furniture.
Soon, two crimson red armchairs stood on a black carpet, with a low redwood coffee table in front. Wolfgang patted down his hair and pulled his sleeves back down, sticking his wand into his right pocket. After a few more minutes he had settled down in the chair further away from the door, holding a glass of martini in his hand and idly enjoying the scent of his orange perfume.

Scarlett was.. vengeful in a way. She was not the least amused by her brother's new girl toy that he had gotten his hands on. Rosalia Capone was like a poisonous stain on the world that her brother got infected by. The brunette was about to leave this school, to become a healer and help Teddy's cause in any way her selfish heart could but she refused to leave her legacy behind without doing something about this poisonous stain.
Scarlett's heels clicked on the tile floor, her dark chocolate brown eyes scanning the area around her. She was asking one of her friends to join her, the word friend taken lightly. She knew exactly where she stood when it came to Wolfgang, he could any moment stab her in the back and she him but the mutual respect is enough for her to know that she could use his skills of manipulation and cunning to her advantage.
How did he ever become a Ravenclaw was beyond her but not as much as why Rosalia was even in this goddamn school. Scarlett waved her hand, the door flinging open and shut behind her once she had entered the room, her long legs taking her to a seat of her own before sitting down in it she made sure Wolfgang was actually there.
"Well hey there handsome, settling in?" she asked with a smile on her lips before taking a seat herself, her hand grabbing a drink. She let the smell of the liquid linger around her nose and smiled as there was no trace of poison to be found.

Click. Click. Click. Click. The muffled sound of high heels seeped through gaps in the doorway. Wolfgang didn't need to wait long 'till the door swung open and Scarlett walked in. Her presence always reminded him of a gust of wind before a thunderstorm, bending tree branches, making them quiver and bow without any visible effort. He had long since made a mental remark to not get on her bad side, as it could ruin all his plans for the nearest decade, to put it lightly. Plus, rumors of her being associated with a certain werewolf had reached his ears, making him consider his words more than once. Scarlett wouldn't be to pleased to hear that just a few months ago Wolfgang had made a few of those mutts attack an employee of the ministry...
But this was certainly not about either of those things. He watched the door shut and smiled at Scarlett once she had sat down, raising his glass in a greeting.
"You're not half bad yourself," he remarked, "I'd even wager you turn more heads when walking down the hall than I do." He took a sip from his martini, inhaling sharply as the alcohol burned his throat. "I've been fine, not much to mention... Except a certain fling last month didn't quite pan out." Grace Longbottom had been a small scale catastrophe in his books. "But never mind that, would you enlighten me why you've called me here without the usual party? Are we planning something exciting?"

Vicious.
Every time Scarlett got beaten down she rose back up, more vicious every single time. The brunette was in a mindset where she needed the opinion of someone before acting out against everything that is good in life. If Teddy knew she was planning something horrid for a girl he'd make her change her mind, tell her it wasn't worth it but it was. It was so worth it.
This was family.
"You are such a charmer, why wouldn't it work with the girl you had a fling with? Did she become blind or was she just mentally not the brightest bulb in the factory?" she asked and had a small smirk on her lips as she took a sip. Scarlett looked out for her friends, for as far as their friendship stretched.
"Hmmm you remember my little brother Felix right?" she asked and cocked her head a little as she asked Wolfgang her question. She pursed her lips and glanced at the fire for a moment. "Seems Capone has her hooks in him.." she said and hummed.

He watched Scarlett over the edge of his martini glass. They both wielded their smirks like a pair of swords, holding each other at the tip of the blade in a friendly spar. On the one hand, it made Wolfgang feel empowered, made him feel like an adult and not the mere child people outside of Hogwarts still assumed him to be. On the other hand... It hadn't even been half a year since he had turned 16. It was silly of them to pretend to be adults, twisting intrigue and dabbling in politics. Ever since his messy affair with Grace Longbottom had ended, which, in truth had been his first, he had been plagued by similar thoughts.
"Oh, she took the bait easily. It's just that... She was too naive. It felt like making a 12 year-old girl fall in love with me. It just... Felt wrong." He admitted, putting his drink down before rubbing his face with his hand as a heavy sigh escaped his lips. "I also should have picked less of a household name to dabble with for my first try. My mistakes are all mine. I'd rather not lift it up, lest I incriminate myself even more."
He was more keen to know what Scarlett had planned for him. Wolfgang didn't need to wait long, and what he heard unsettled him a even more.
"How old is your brother, again? 14? And if I have my math right she should be barely 16?" He asked, trying to recall everything he knew about the Slytherin prefect. They were a year apart, and yet this felt quite wrong to Wolfgang. He felt a headache coming on and leaned back into his chair, closing his eyes.
Scarlett had a ruthless reputation in certain circles, and the pieces of the puzzle were quickly adding up. She was worried about her brother, and was planning something rather nasty to split him and the target of his affections apart. And Wolfgang would have a part in it, whether he wanted or not.

Scarlett didn't judge Wolfgang's choice in female companionship as long as it wasn't affecting her friendship with him. Honestly Scarlett didn't feel the need of jealous claws coming at her because she hung out with Wolfgang, those kind of women were an embarrassment on society. The brunette just waited for him to speak and as he did she simply nodded.
"Naive girls hmmm." she nodded and sat back with a frown. "Those are the weakest of the bunch. Honestly I am surprised they still exist in a world like this." she didn't know how girls remained innocent with people like herself and Wolfgang around.
"Yes the two are two years apart." she said and remembered people judging her for dating Teddy, he is older than her but she hardly gave a damn so this wasn't fully bothering her either. "Don't worry I will not ask you to charm her and get her comfortable around you, it's like feeding you to a lion." she said and snorted.
"I am just going to ask you to keep an eye on Felix when I'm gone. We both know this is the last year we'll be able to meet like this." she said and hummed.
"I don't need Capone to destroy my brother.. Especially since my birdies told me she sneaks around with that other Gryffindor boy."

"Some people just refuse to grow up, I guess." Wolfgang answered, letting out a soft sigh and closing his eyes. He sunk deeper into the chair he had conjured, his fingers feeling the red fabric. His fingertips brushed against the material, and he briefly furrowed his eyebrows - it didn't feel as soft and smooth as he had intended. The recent events had taken a toll on him, and it was showing in his magic. He wasn't worried about Scarlett noticing this subtle detail, after all, it's not like he conjured these chairs every day.
He mentally scolded himself for worrying about such nonsense. Beating yourself up never did anyone any good.
Scarlett's voice brought him out of his short contemplation, and he opened his eyes, reached out for his glass and put it to his lips. The cold, wet glass was comforting in a strange way.
A brief laugh escaped his lips when his 'friend' compared Capone to a lion. "Please, lions at least have some grace. She's more like one of those pesky Doxies."
His face grew serious, when Scarlett asked him to keep watch of her brother. He quietly hummed against the glass, considering his answer. Truth be told, he didn't feel any obligation to be the kids' nanny - he had to learn for himself, and he had better things to do. Yet he couldn't say that outright, he'd land on the same list that Capone was. The mention of another boy, though...
"If she is two-timing him, then you don't need me to keep watch. You just have to split them apart. It would be best if you got him to stumble into that other one and Capone... Or convince him that she's cheating and is no good, one way or another. Simple as that. He'll lick his wounds later, but it'll be a good lesson to him, don't you think?"

Scarlett looked at the drink and frowned. She hated to ask people favors and she really wasn't going to be mad if Wolfgang wasn't going to help, it was his choice and she wasn't going to destroy him. Wolfgang was useful, not something she wanted to get rid off. Besides he seemed troubled and she did notice that.
"She definitely has the looks of one.." she said with a small smirk and cocked her head as she looked at him, observed his behavior because something about Wolfgang was off. He wasn't himself even when he definitely tried to be.
"Break my brother's heart for his own good? And I thought I was cruel." she said and smirked a bit, she actually liked the idea of ripping his heart out and destroy their relationship for his own good.
"Hmmm that is something to think about. It isn't easy to set that up."

"Hey, sometimes the hardest lessons are the most valuable ones." Wolfgang stated, putting his glass down on the table and getting up. He wanted to avoid eye contact, and there was no better way to do it than pacing around the room and pretending to be deep in thought. And so he did. After a minute of slowly walking back and forth with his hands crossed on his chest, he spoke up again.
"First of all, you should find out if there is any truth to these rumors. " Click, click, click. His monk strap shoes clicked against the stone floor. "If they're true... Then you need to find out who this other boy is and what does he want with Capone. Or, has Capone pulled him in her nets just like your brother? That would be even better, then you could pin all the blame on her, that she doesn't care about him even one bit." Click, click, click.
"If they're not true..." he stopped, looking at the door of the redwood cabinet. If they're not true, make something up.
"If they're not true, then there are multiple courses of action you can take. The first one -- do nothing, and hope it collapses on its own. But I know you don't want to do that. The second one would be fabricating something. I'm sure a few small bags of sickles or even a few cheat sheets for tests could get the 4th years talking. And then there is always the third option -- convince Felix that you're right."
There was also the option of turning Capone into werewolf fodder, but that would be too scandalous for someone like Scarlett. As for Wolfgang... Well, he's done it before.

Felix needed to learn to stick with girls his own age, this girl was far out of his reach and she couldn't wait for her to graduate and Felix growing more handsome by the day because of his amazing genes. No girl could keep their hands off of him soon enough and Rosalia will be far away being slutty with her little side friend.
"You know the easiest way to draw out the truth is to start a rumor of your own.." she said and licked her lips. Wolfgang had his own points and she was going to do the hurt and the poking of the bear, all she needed was the bear to roar and everything to unfold.
"You have some great points.. but I am not stupid, something is off with you." she said and observed him a bit. "What's off with you?" she asked and cocked her head to the side, her eyes on him with the intent to pull out whatever bugged Wolfgang.

"Indeed." he agreed to Scarlett's statement. Make up some slander, and the victim will run around screaming the truth. Scarlett just has to hope the truth benefits her. Though she was perfectly capable of spinning a web of lies and intrigue. Not like Capone would be much of an opponent.
He'd tried so very hard to not let his mood show, but at the end of the day Scarlett had picked up on Wolfgang's little movements. Perhaps the pacing had been too much? None the less, his mood soured like a jug of milk left in the sun.
"I don't want to talk about it." he said firmly, reaching for his silver blazer that had been hanging on top of the drink cabinet this whole time, pulling it on and closing it. His movements were forceful and fast.
"Now, is there anything else pertaining to your brother, or am I free to go?" he asked, hoping that she'd take the hint and let him leave.
