With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
There was silence, and Frankie had found herself in the common room of her house while she had a book in her lap. She was choosing to do her homework there instead of the library cause she wanted to be left alone. Perhaps she was there because she was hoping to bump into her best friend, but whenever she heard the door open, it wasn’t the girl she wanted to see. A part of her wanted to cuddle with her again, but she knew chances of that happening was slim. Rose was in her second year, and most people don’t hang out with younger years. Some judged. It was pretty annoying.
A sigh had left Frankie as she glanced up as someone else entered the common room, and she frowned a bit. ”Felix, have you done your Charms homework yet?” she asked, sighing a bit as she looked down at the book in her lap. Charms wasn’t her bes subject but she was trying.
And perhaps she needed one of her classmates and sorta friends to chat with.
I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable
Felix was really just not in the mood to spend time with any females. Everything he did seemed to make everything else worse. Maybe he should become a bloody monk and stick to hanging with dull men that have no intention of ruining his life. The boy walked into the common room and eyed Frankie who asked him about homework. Of course another girl.. though she was about as much as a dude as he was..
"Yeah it's lame, here." he held out his paper. He wasn't going to explain anything because he just didn't feel like it. He sank down in a seat across from her and ran two hands over his face. Felix eyed Frankie with a small sigh.
Was Frankie okay? She'd go on and on about how her brother died and that she needed to recover from that loss. The loss was still there, and she was upset that no one gave a damn about her brother. Perhaps she should continue fighting for him even if he was gone, and she can prove his innocence. The female had no idea what she was going to do now, and felt lost whenever someone would ask her how she's doing or if she was okay. Honestly, it wasn't a straight answer. It wasn't an easy answer, and some people knew to leave that subject alone.
Her eyes had scanned over Felix's Charms homework, and she made a face at the question. "I will be. Why?" she asked, handing the paper back to him with a small frown. "You look frustrated." she stated, raising an eyebrow.
I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable
Felix knew that his friend went through shit, she told him usually everything but lately she had been shutting him out as well and Felix didn't like it. He needed someone to talk to after all. Felix looked at Frankie and waited for his stuff back as well as for her to answer his question. "Because you look like someone used your puppy to prepare a meal for Christmas." he told her and took his homework back.
Felix ran a hand through his hair and sat back a bit. "You can say that." he said and motioned for her to take a seat so they could talk. He expected she'd talk to him if he talked to her, that's how this worked right? Felix let out a sigh and shook his head.
"So there was this party Viola took me to because I can't say no to her.. she reminds me too much of the kind heart my sister had." he said and sighed. "Anyway, we were told to do a dare.. eat a cookie but can't use our hands.. but the thing is the cookie was in her mouth and we had to eat the same one." he said and shrugged.
"I did as was told and Viola kissed me which resulted into.. Vi kissing me and Rosa saw it." he rolled his eyes. "I get the scolding, I get the bullshit.." he was so tired of it.

Frankie had folded her legs under herself as she prepared to listen to Felix’s girl trouble. Yes, she kinda figured it was girl trouble due to some girls fawning over him like he was a piece of meat. And no, Frankie was not into her best friend like that. She had been out, and proud, and quite loud that she was into girls. Told the boys to back the fudge off before she proceeded to do her own stuff. There was no way she can hide the fact that yes, she was gay. It showed with the way she looked at girls. So if some boy thought he had a chance, then he needed his eyes checked.
There was a low chuckle from her, and she shook her head at the thought of this Viola chick kissing Felix. Well, they had it coming. ”So, let me get this straight. Viola kissed you, Rosa saw it and lost her shit on you? Did you kiss her back? Please tell me you don’t have two girls fighting over you. If you do, I totally say go for Viola” she joked as she eyed her friend.
Felix wasn't really aware of what girls thought of him because he simply didn't give a damn. He was more occupied with his academics and making sure he kept his father at a respective distance. His family was very into arranged marriages, they always have been and if it wasn't for Scarlett having a suitor that was a respective man their father didn't complain about, she would've been engaged to someone else. The family needed to be pure in the words of their father and not pureblooded but succesful.
Truth be told if Teddy wasn't the godson of Harry bloody Potter the guy would never be good enough for his sister. Felix frowned for a moment when Frankie asked about the kiss. "I didn't." he said and shook his head. There was no need for him to kiss Viola, that was her thing not his. "Rosa saw a kiss and suddenly I am the worst of the worst. Honestly I am not even sure why I bother." he said and sighed.
"If being with a girl ends up in endless fights and yelling then I might as well tell my father to find me a wife."

Frankie had no idea what Felix saw in that Slytherin girl, but she had told herself over and over again that she should stay out of it. Stay as far away from Felix’s girl drama has possible, but since she had asked, she well, got herself into this. Too late to back out now, so she had shifted in her seat when she listened to him. There was a low laugh from her about the wife comment, and she shook her head. ”Funny.” she said, biting her lip as she thought over this drama.
”If Rosa doesn’t trust you, just end it. Relationships are about trust, and if she doesn’t trust you, then…” she didn’t finish and gave him a tiny smile. ”But what do I know? I’ve never dated in my entire life. And the girl I like doesn’t see me the way I see her.” she grumbled as she looked toward the entrance of the common room, letting out a sigh as a second year came in.
Girl drama was Felix's least favorite drama in this world. It was also a drama he didn't want to be a part of but now he was in it he wanted out. Felix went through enough drama having an older sister but Rosa seemed to be out there to make his life hell and yet act like she cared about him. That wasn't how things were supposed to work was it? Felix watched Frankie get amused about the situation and just rolled his eyes as she laughed.
"Well we aren't really together.. I don't think. Not yet? I don't know this dating thing is wacky and I wish I never got into it." he said and sank deeper into his chair with his man pout. The boy sighed and groaned. "Who do you like?" he really didn't want to talk about himself anymore. "Is she in our house? I am feeling that a housemate might be less of a mistake." he said and shook his head.

Frankie was disappointed that it wasn’t her second year; really wishing it was so she can avoid talking about this. But instead, she had let out a long sigh and leaned her head against the seat she was in and her eyes moved onto her best friend, hating that she had brought it up but he deserved to know what was going on besides having a crush on a girl she knew she couldn’t have. This wasn’t something she liked very much. Girl drama. Yep, this was her life now. For some reason she wanted to keep talking about Rosa and her stupidity but she wasn’t going to bring up the girl.
”Yeah, she’s in this house.” she said and looked at him. ”Maybe you should consider a girl from this house too.Saves you the trouble of wondering if this girl in the Slytherin house is kissing a boy from her own.” she had said and shook her head. ”Sorry.”
She shifted a bit. ”I don’t know. I like her, and we’ve held hands. Even cuddled on this couch. I highly doubt she likes me though. We’re just friends.”
Maybe Frankie was right, maybe she just wasn't worth his damn attention and the trouble. Honestly to him girls were nothing but trouble these days and he was sick of it, done with them. Maybe he should legit consider being a monk, would amuse that piece of shit Avery for sure. Honestly he didn't know what was wrong with the guy but he looked as messed up from the outside as he probably was on the inside, why else be the way he is? There had to be a reason and Felix wasn't going to bother figuring out why.
"Maybe I should, or I'll become a monk and swear off girls until I die." he offered which sounded so good right now. Maybe he'll get into something more useful instead, like business. Oh god he sounded like his own father more and more. "Don't be sorry. Who knows I might not even date at all." he told her and his eyes were on his friend. "Of course she is into you, what is not to like?" he said and cocked his head.
"She has to like you. No reason why she wouldn't."

Frankie had cocked her head to the side as she thought about what he had said about being a monk, and the image was amusing. It made her grin, and she had moved a bit to stretch her legs out watching her best friend for a moment as she listened to him. Did Rose feel the same way? She had no idea. She didn’t want to risk having the girl run off if Frankie brought it up, and she had no idea what she would do if she lost Rose as a friend. Everyone had helped her through the pain of losing her bio brother. And Rose’s company had took the pain away from her.
”I don’t know. I don’t want to risk losing my friendship with her because I caught feelings.” she said, eyeing the dorm door as it opened up again and she was disappointed yet again. ”I might swear off girls. If I jump into some sort of relationship people might think I’m not in my right mind because I lost my brother recently.” she said with a frown.
Her brother. Sure, she had an adopted brother she adored but no one can replace her actual brother.
Felix didn't know how to help Frankie with her dilemma. Honestly if it were up to him he'd tell her not to risk this shit, it wasn't worth it but then again he was supposed to support her which meant he was also supposed to tell her what she wanted to hear no matter the consequences. Besides maybe these two were better off together rather than apart.
"Isn't she worth the risk?" he asked and looked at his friend who seemed quite troubled by this. Felix wished he could help in any other way but he just couldn't, there was nothing he could say that could change her mind, only the redhead could. Felix ran a hand over his face and groaned.
"Dude fuck what others think. You think I gave a damn about Rosa's best friend's needs when we were... becoming a thing? I don't. You shouldn't care what others think either."

Frankie looked at him when he had his little outburst about how she shouldn’t care about what others thought about if he went to tell the girl she liked about her feelings. A part of her wanted to tell him who it was, but even though he didn’t seem like the type to do it, she didn’t want to risk him or anyone nearby knowing who it is because the last thing she needed was a rumor about her liking a certain redhead who was the daughter of well known people. There was a moment when she wanted to get up, and walk away from this conversation but that was rude, and she didn’t want to offend Felix.
”She is worth it but…” she paused and looked around as she heard the door open, and a look of disappointment appeared on her face once more. ”What if she doesn’t like me? And if she doesn’t and I tell her, what if she won’t talk to me anymore? I’m afraid that I’ll lose her.”
God, she was confused. ”How do I tell Rose Granger-Weasley that I like her?” she said, and her eyes went wide when she realized she had said Rose’s name.
Rose Granger - Weasley. Now that's a girl who showed she had class and style even at a young age. Felix admired that about her and yes she was hot but he didn't like dating girls that much younger than him. She was only a second year. Felix knew why Frankie liked her, he wasn't blind.
"Dude chill." he told her and adjusted his position, getting more comfortable as he did so. "She likes you and you know it. Come on you two met up in a bloody teashop that is known to be famous to host couples." he reminded her and shook his head. "Look sometimes you just got to take that leap, take that risk and if it blows up in your face then it does."
Felix frowned a bit. "If she is a real friend, she wouldn't let feelings get in the way of your friendship."
Chill? Frankie was not going to chill because this was the first time she had said such a thing around anyone, and her cheeks were in all kinds of red. She thought she was going to pass out from it all, but she tried to keep herself calm even though she was freaking out. Holy crap, she admitted that she was falling for Rose in front of her friend. Even though she trusted him to keep her secret, she hated herself for letting it slip out. Frankie Evans was not going to chill! ”Crap.” she mumbled as she listened to Felix.
”I don’t think I can handle that. If she doesn’t like me like that, I’ll die. I might as well yeet myself out the window.” she grumbled, bringing her hand up to chew on her nail. A nervous tick of hers.
