With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Entering the north wing of Hogwarts with her bag slung over one shoulder and a bunch of books tucked underneath her other arm, Grace bit her lip anxiously because she had so much work to do. So, so much and she had to practice some of the spells she was learning in class and it just - it was just so overwhelming. She felt like most days, she was barely skating by.
Taking a seat in the corner and curling up on the chair, Grace was about to dig into some of the reading she had to do first when she felt, more than saw, someone near her. Glancing up uncertainly, Grace was pleasantly surprised to see who it was. "Lottie, hi! How are you? I haven't - I mean, not really... I mean, I haven't really seen you since before the school break."
Charlotte was just floating through the halls out of boredom. Being dead after all was no picnic and she was getting a little tired of the common room. She spent most of her time there since it was the house she was in before her untimely death.
Lottie sighed when suddenly she heard a familiar voice speaking to her. The dead Hufflepuff smiled when she heard the voice of Grace Longbottom, one of her old friends. "Hey Gracie. I'm alright I suppose. I mean I'm dead but then again I can't really change that, can I? Still it's nice to see you again." she replied.
Not a day didn't go by when Charlotte didn't wish she was alive again. Last time she spoke to Grace was probably during her fourth year when Lottie was a fifth year sharing classes with her. If she was alive now Charlotte would be in her final year and in NEWT classes. "I've been around. Hogwarts is a bit lonely when the students aren't here. " She only maybe had the other ghosts for company during the summer, which was all well and good she figured, but Lottie still missed her family and friends. "How have you been? Sixth year keeping you busy?" she asked spotting the girl's school bag and books.

When Lottie smiled in response to Grace's question, the other Hufflepuff girl was beaming immediately because it was nice to see a smile on Lottie's face... especially given the circumstances. Being a ghost would be hard, more than hard actually, and she didn't envy her at all. "At least... I mean, I guess... there'd be a lot of hard things about being a ghost," Grace said softly, a frown tugging at her lips as Lottie said off-handedly that 'I mean, I'm dead.' "There's gotta be some perks... right? Like seeing all your relatives and such."
"Have you made friends with any of the other ghosts?" Grace asked curiously. Were ghosts friendly? Surely some of them were, because some ghosts had to have been lovely and friendly people back when they were alive and breathing. "Sixth year's been really busy. Hard, too. Harder than I thought. I... gosh, I suppose I was silly, thinking that I'd get a break after the OWLs. I suppose I did, in the summer, but I thought sixth year would be a bit of a breather before I started seventh, you know?
Lottie nodded as Grace said there were a lot of hard things about being a ghost. She was supposed to be in her final year, and figuring out what she would do with her life after Hogwarts. She would never get to do any of those things now. She tried not to complain too often because after all she could still communicate with the people she knew in life, like Grace even if it was as a ghost.
"Yes I suppose so." she replied, as Grace mentioned perks such as seeing her relatives. She could probably see Graham whenever she wanted (as long as class wasn't in session obviously. She didn't want to frighten his students.) since all she had to do was find his room and come in through the walls.
A part of Lottie was actually a little scared of seeing her relatives again, so the Hufflepuff mostly stayed away and kept to herself. She only died two years ago and she didn't want to startle anyone by just appearing. A part of her also did not want to see Greyson at all, even if seeing at least one of her relatives would make her happy. She couldn't stand Grey even while she was alive because he was such a jerk.
Charlotte smiled again as Grace asked if she made friends with the other ghosts. "I've talked with the Fat Friar a few times. " she said. It was a given that they'd get along since Lottie had been a Hufflepuff like the ghost she had once seen as a student. Lottie nodded as Grace said sixth year was hard. She could only imagine the amount of work she would've had to do. The work load she'd have now as a seventh year if she weren't dead would be just as unbelievable. "What are you planning to do when you finally graduate?" Lottie knew Grace had at least another year of school, since she had yet to start her seventh but she was curious about what career her friend saw herself in.

Beyond nodding and agreeing with Grace that living life as a ghost was tough, there wasn't really much else Lottie said, which instantly made Grace's lips pull into a frown. Had she upset her by suggesting that there were sure to be some perks to being a ghost? It certainly seemed like she had and that's why Grace said quietly, "I'm... I'm sorry if I upset you, Lottie. I didn't mean to pry... I just wanted to try and help you see the upside, I suppose."
"Is the Fat Friar nice? I always see him at dinner time, but I don't talk to him very much usually. I think because he usually looks so busy, I'd just hate to bother him," Grace explained, returning the smile that Lottie had rewarded her. She wondered what Lottie and the Fat Friar had in common, really. There was such an age different between them both human-wise and ghost-wise that it was hard to really guess.
When Lottie asked Grace what she was planning on doing, Grace felt a pang of guiltiness. It was... a reminder that Lottie would never graduate, that she'd be stuck in this castle forever whilst she was free to go out and live her life. "I, uh... a healer, I think. I hope. I need the NEWTs for it first, so... so I guess we'll see if I get them. I don't want to get my hopes up, you know? Because... because what if I fail?"
