With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
One question - why is the Ravenclaw Seeker in the Astronomy Tower during dinner hours? Why wasn't she eating dinner with the rest of the students in the Great Hall? It was because moments before she was hanging with some of her friends before she was outed in the most cruel way. Humiliated in front of her friends, in front of her crush. There was one Slytherin boy who kept calling her names, telling everyone around them that she was in fact a lesbian and he had proof. He had found a letter she had written to one of her brothers, telling them to the truth about her sexuality and he had read it out loud. She didn't stay for the aftermath. No. She ran. The girl had ran, and she had found herself leaning over the edge of the Astronomy Tower.
There was silence. The tears had rolled down her cheeks. Her eyes focused down at the ground below, and she knew that no one would miss her. Everyone would be disgusted with her in the end. No one would want to be her friend. Her family would disown her as soon as those letters made their way to her family. To her, her life was over.
There was a few deep breaths as she felt the cool air hit her cheeks.
Her hands had gripped onto the rail.
Meanwhile Ozzy Tyrell had punched his friend in the face for the outing, and had watched the girl having run off. She did not deserve this mess. She did not deserve to be humiliated like that, and he had told his friend to not go anywhere. He had walked in the direction the girl had disappeared too.
Casey had stood at the rail for a few moments before she heard footsteps, and she didn't take her eyes off the ground below. "Go away."

It had been a good day for Mavican, she had been spending time with Casey, Cassidy and some teammates and slowly even seemed to be forming a group of friends. Hell even Ozzy gave her kind looks which was odd but probably because of their stupid deal which allowed Mavican to afford things in life she couldn't. The brunette though didn't expect some asshole Slytherin to run into the room with a letter that seemed to belong to Casey. Everyone seemed to listen intently and the contents of the letter were about... her?
Mavican's eyes were wide and poor Casey had run off like the wind. The Slytherin boy was a friend of Ozzy's so Mavican followed after Ozzy and Casey. She couldn't let the girl do something stupid over this and she managed to stop Ozzy half way. "Hey.. back off. Your friend did this. YOUR FRIEND." she called out to him and shoved Ozzy. "Fix it.. or the deal is off." she warned him and then ran after Casey.
"Goddamn.." that girl was fast. Mavican ran as fast as her legs would let her and when she made it all the way up the tower she whined a bit. The astronomy tower was the highest bloody tower and Mavican was in huge pain just because running up those steps was hell! "Casey!" she watched the girl near the edge and looked a bit frantic.
"I am not going away, please get away from that edge." she still tried to catch her breath.
Minutes ago, Casey was actually happy with herself and was hanging with friends. Minutes ago, her life was all figured out, and her mind weren't on those letters that she had sent out that morning. But those moments she had spent with her friends had vanished, the smile and laughter had gone. Her life was over, her family was bound to disown her because of this, and she was going to be more of disappointment to her father. Why did she write those letters in the first place? Why couldn't she just stick to her original plan to come out after graduation when she had the freedom to move away from her family? Maybe it was because she didn't want to feel the guilt anymore. Didn't want to deal with the secret. But now it's out, and by morning the whole school will know. The whole school would probably talk. Sure, it's not big news but the boys that had asked her out once were going to make her life hell.
When she had heard Mavican's voice calling her to get away from the rails, she didn't budge. Casey didn't even bother to look at her friend, the person she had a crush on. Her teammate. Casey had grown to trust the older girl overtime, but now she didn't trust anyone entirely. Why should she after that incident? Why would she listen to people again? There was no way in hell she was going to trust or listen to anyone again. They're all going to laugh at her, stare at her. Point.
Instead of listening, she gripped onto the rail a little tighter which started to hurt her hand because of the coldness of the rail. Her head moved as she looked up at the stars, giving a huff. "Why do you care? Just leave me alone, Mavican. Please." she pleaded as she felt the tears roll down her cheeks.

Casey was such a sweet girl and Mavican didn't know that she was crushing on her. Mavican eyed the girl and shook her head as she stepped forward slowly. The brunette hatesd seeing people hurt like this, she didn't care about a stupid crush. She wasn't a believer of it but she would take Casey out and show her a good time if she wanted, as long as she didn't hurt herself.
"Casey no.. I am not going anywhere." she said and shook her head. "I care about you, okay?" she didn't love people, it wasn't her thing but she did care about her. Mavican moved towards her a bit and frowned for a moment.
"Please.. come down Casey." she said and held her hand out.
The tears rolled down her cheeks as she listened to Mavican, feeling her own heart racing in her chest and she didn't look at her while the other girl spoke to her. Did she really care or was she saying that because she didn't want to lose a teammate and a chance to win the house cup? It was hard to tell with people sometimes, hard to tell if they were really friends or someone who will throw you under the bus once they get what they want. All the trust Casey had in people was gone, and her eyes had closed for a moment as she felt the breeze on her cheeks.
Finally she looked over at Mavican, and her hand for a moment as she thought over what had happened to her just a few minutes ago. The female was breathing heavily as she eyed her friend, and made a face. Her grip loosened on the rail as she eyed her teammate, and shook her head. "It hurts.." she admitted.
Mavican eyed Casey, her intense blue eyes standing out. Casey was a beautiful girl, she really was but Mavican was broken and someone like her.. could they really be fixed? She took a couple of steps closer and took Casey's hand in her own. She looked at the girl and gave her a smile.
"What hurts? Being special?" she asked and placed her other hand on Casey's cheek. "Because you have a crush on a broken girl with only dreams and nothing to offer?" she asked softly. The redhead was sure that Casey was a good person but Mavican felt like she wasn't worth it.
"Look at me, you are amazing. You're sweet, strong and crazy loyal." she chuckled a bit.
"Any girl would be lucky to be yours.. but I am not worth your love."
The moment Mavican stepped forward, taking her hand, Casey stepped away from the edge as if something was summoning her own body. Her eyes had closed for a moment when Mavican placed a hand on her cheek and she listened to her, frowning a bit more and at first she wanted to shove her away but she didn't even bother. She felt frozen in place, and it pissed her off to no end. This felt like a rejection even if Casey didn't even tell her how she truly felt. The letters were nothing and now...this was happening. Perhaps it was a bad idea for even mentioning her name in the letter the Slytherin had found. What a damn fool she was.
She didn't realize how close she was to her, and when she did, she almost wanted to jerk away. "You don't see yourself the way I do. You're just too damn blind to see it." she said coldly, feeling more frustrated at the second. "I really want to hate you. I do. And I get that you don't feel the same way, which is fine. All your buddies are more important than just one person." she growled and eyed her.
Congrats Mavican, you managed to piss off your Seeker.
She shook her head for a moment, eyeing her and before she can stop herself, she had pulled her into a short lived kiss before shoving her away.
Casey took a few deep breaths before she moved toward the exit. "I'm not going to stand by and watch you destroy yourself with people who don't care about you. Have a nice life, Mavican."
Casey Stevens have just left the tower, feeling like the world had ended.
