With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Ciar had heard what had been happening with his sister through their mother, and he wanted to make sure it was being taken care of. He knew a friend a former classmate just happened to be the Potions Professor there, and he knew damn well that her brother was the one that was tormenting his only sister. He wasn't entirely happy with the situation, and sure, Don had told him to not set up a meeting between the two but he also wanted to catch up with her. His older brother was protective over the relationship he had with Ariella Tyrell but Ciar was friends with her much longer than the two were a couple.
The guy was leaning against a stone wall, playing with a stick as he looked up at the castle with a huff. He'd go up there himself but he didn't want to be seen by his sister cause then she'll know that he knows and he knew the girl wanted to keep her own secrets. He didn't want to be seen by her until it was safe to say that everyone knows about what's going on.
He heard footsteps nearby and he looked toward the person, and he smiled. "You're looking so much younger as the days go by."

Ariella didn't go out much but she needed to buy the wine and have it delivered to the castle, which meant she had to come here and do so herself. Truth be told she couldn't deal with these students without having a bottle of wine at the end of the evening to tie her over. The students were horribly annoying and she hated every single one of them.
Ariella rolled her eyes as she walked into the bar and a comment got shot her way from the only person she could sort of tolerate the comments from.
"And you look so smug it almost seems like you got some." she replied with a small smile to her cold words. She couldn't help it, the ice was still thick on her voice. "Did you finally get that close with your broom?"
There was a smug smirk on his face when he heard her banter back, and he knew damn well that's what he should expect whenever he's around her. There was always something witty on the edge of her tongue, and he wondered how the hell his brother was in love with her. Maybe she had him under some sort of love spell or something, he didn't know. Don was an idiot, and he was a catch with his charming smile and other things. The Stevens boys do tend to talk at least once a week about things, and sometimes Don would get zone out whenever his love life became the subject.
Ciar had put a hand over his chest, and grinned at her. "Ariella Tyrell, snarky as ever. Do you kiss my brother with that ice cold mouth of yours?" he asked as he pushed himself from the wall. "I haven't gotten any in over a week, by the way. It's sad really. But I turned someone down, so something might be wrong with me."

Ariella was not the kindest soul, nope she never would be but that didn't mean that she did not have a heart and couldn't care. The brunette rolled her eyes as he replied to her cold comments and of course he had to mention her boyfriend as he did so. She had to coming surely because she knew damn well that Don could do better, she always told him he could.
"My poor cold heart, it almost melted a little there." she said and crossed her arms over her chest. Ciar told her how he didn't get some in a long time and that amused her enough as it is. He was rejecting women now? Well that was new. Maybe he wanted it up the butt these days.
"If I knew a happy gay guy I would gladly introduce him to you and your broom." she said with a small grin on her face. She loved teasing him but she wasn't going to keep that up, he obviously needed something. "What's up? I assume you didn't come to visit this place for old memories sake?"
There was a cold look on his face when Ariella Tyrell assume that he was looking for a guy instead of a girl, and he wanted to snap at her about it but he kept his thoughts to himself. No one knew he had a thing with men, and women alike and he didn't want words getting out that there's a bisexual on one of the best Quidditch teams, and the fact he didn't want his father knowing. Last thin he wanted was to be another disappointment to Father Stevens. The male looked at her for a little while longer before he shifted a bit in his spot, his hands going inside his pockets.
He forced a small smile. "Not gay." he said softly and sighed as he eyed her. "A little birdie told me about an incident going on with my sister and your idiot of a brother. Is it taken care of or do we have to step in to make sure nothing else happens to her?" he asked, getting right to business.

Right, not gay. She gave it a nod and a shrug. Ariella really could care less, she was just making sure he knew who he was messing with and though she knows that he did, she often liked to remind him and other people for that matter. Her eyes flicked towards the huge castle standing tall in the distance.
"A little birdie hmm." she said softly and shrugged her shoulders, she really had no idea why he would even want to get involved, there was little he could do and she would rather kill him than have him lay a hand on her brother. No one touched Ozzy.
"I handled it." she said coldly, her voice icy and less friendly once more. "I don't need to remind you what can happen if you try to touch my brother do I?" she looked at him and frowned. "Father doesn't need to know either, It is handled and your sister is safe from Ozzy's hands. What he did was inappropriate and his broken nose reminded him clearly of it."
Ariella wasn't going to go into details and neither would she tell Ciar what her brother found out.
Over the years, Ciar had learned to ignore Ariella's threats. Not everyone was protected, and there were laws for a reason. No one can get away with murder. The Tyrell's might think they're untouchable, but one mistake can run that family into the ground. And Ciar wasn't one to actually report any of this because he didn't want to destroy a family. He knew his mother was friends with their father, and they had been invited to many gatherings. But what Oswald did to his sister was not acceptable and he hated that he can't do anything about it entirely. Just threaten jail time if it gets out of hand entirely.
Again, he wouldn't do that. "And do I need to remind you that your family is not untouchable? Don't worry Ariella, I have no intentions to lay a hand on your brother's greasy head. I'm just looking out for my sister, you'll understand. Trust me, I don't want a war between our families." he said, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Please tell me it was my sister that gave him the broken nose at least."

Ariella rolled her eyes as she eyed Ciar. The brunette frowned for a moment and eyed the castle again. "I don't need my family to make your life hell Ciar. I am perfectly capable of that by myself." she smiled a bit. She was protective just like him. He was looking out for his sister and she was looking out for her brother. This was wrong on either side.
"Family war is the last thing I wanted. One way or another, we are family." she said and frowned for a moment. "Speaking off, no she didn't. I did." she said and hummed for a moment. She broke her own brother's nose to make a point here but her brother was damaged.
"Look Ozzy pushed her far and he promised to back off. Ever since Peter went missing he hasn't been himself." she said and ran a hand over her face, she was tired.
Ciar had known that Peter Tyrell had been missing for months, and he had no idea how bad it was until Ariella had mentioned it just now. He had no idea what he would do if one of his siblings went missing. Sure, he quit his career and go find them. His family was pretty tight - and they'd kill for each other. There was was silence for a moment as the male eyed the castle, and he nodded. Yeah, they were family. He was just waiting for the moment his brother would finally propose to her but he wasn't going to make that comment. He had no idea if they were ready for that step, and figured Ariella wasn't the type to settle down.
"Yeah, I heard about Peter. I'm sorry to hear about that." he said and shoved his hands into his pockets. "How are you holding up?" he asked, concerned for her mental state. "I know Don is working day and night looking for him."

Ariella was doing just fine. She had to tell herself that to believe it. Otherwise she'd just fall apart. The girl was very protective over her siblings because she was responsible for them. Ozzy suffered the most, he was retaliating because of how their father treated him and now here they were, stuck in a universe where their brother was missing and maybe even dead.
"I'm fine." she lied and eyed the castle. She didn't like talking about her mental health. It was a bad place to be in her mind, a dark place and she never would let anyone in.
"Ozzy isn't." she said and frowned. "Father is treating him like it's his fault Peter's gone. We just need him back.. Ozzy needs him back." she said and eyed Ciar.
Ciar had no idea how the Tyrell's did it, how they moved on with their lives as if nothing happened. Of course he knew Samuel Tyrell was a caring father, and loved his children but mistreating one of his son's because another went missing was something that shouldn't happen. They were all kids, kids make mistakes. A part of him just wanted to go find Peter himself, bring him home because he can see how much they were suffering. How much they needed that kid back in their pack, and he hoped Peter was alive. If this was one of his siblings, he wouldn't stop looking.
"I'm keeping an eye out for any hint every time I'm on the road. I listen for rumors, and check them out myself." he admitted softly as he glanced around with a sigh. He knew she was lying, but he wasn't going to judge. "It sucks. I don't know how you do it. Standing strong, and not crumbling."

Ariella never was the kind of woman who would break down, who would shed a tear for anything. She was highly convinced that her body was made of ice and that there was only blood running through her veins to make sure she was able to move. She had no idea how Donovan could love her, she wasn't lovable.. she was a monster and everyone knew it.
Yet he loved her.
Ciar was a kind friend, a guy she adored in her own twisted way. "Thank you." she said knowing it might not be easy for Ciar to focus on more than one thing, especially with quidditch being his main focus. He deserved a lot of good in his life but even Ciar was an idiot like his brothers and let his ego get in the way a lot.
"I don't think I have it in me to break. I know I probably should but if I break and show weakness what message would that send to my siblings and my father?" she asked with a frown.
Ciar stood there as he listened to his friend talking about not wanting to break, and he understood it all. Last thing he wanted was to push his friend into an emotional mess. He never seen her shred a tear which made him think she wasn't entirely human but she knew that she had a few weak spots. Everyone does. He had many, and he tried not to let anyone see it but deep down he was still destroyed by the woman that managed to leave him hating his life. His ex-fiancee having an affair with someone on the road, having a baby and now Ciar was questioning if he fathered the child or the other guy. He refused to tell his mother about the kid.
The male sighed softly as he eyed his friend, nodding a bit. "Hey, everyone has weaknesses." he said with a tiny smile. "I don't think your father will love you any less if you break. You're allowed too, Ariella. I'm sure my brother told you that."
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧
Ariella didn't like emotions and to deal with them the way other people. She helped when she could but she wasn't one of the people who did emotions. The brunette ran a hand through her hair and frowned when Ciar told her she was allowed to break.
Right.
"I know, he told me." she said and sighed for a moment. "If I break then my father will have no one to hold onto." she said and eyed Ciar. "You think the sluts he slept with will support his loss of a child? He is already a mess the way he is, the last thing he needed is me to be weak too." she said and shook her head.
The male gave Ariella a small frown as he listened to her, and knew that she was right in a way but it wasn't healthy to keep emotions in in the long run. There was a time he had numbed himself up after he caught his ex-fiancee with another male, he had't said a word and just walked out of the apartment the two shared to go for a drink. He didn't give her an angry outburst people would expect of him, and it took him a week to finally come to his senses and break it off even when she told him that she was pregnant. He never told anyone about it, not even his family.
The male sighed softly, and eyed Ariella as he played with some coins in his pockets. "Just know you have friends that care. And they're also looking around for Peter." he said, smiling a bit. "Just take care of yourself, and your pops. I heard he had another....son on the way." he said and chuckled.
He lost count how many Tyrell's were running around.
