With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
It had been a couple days since she was jumped by Ozzy's gang, and she was finally able to move around more. Her ribs had to be reset and it was a painful experience for her to endure but she would say she had worse. Maybe she shouldn't have went after the devil himself, knowing full well he was protected by his friends and knew his father would make her life hell if he played his cards right by lying that he was just an innocent victim in this ordeal. But no, she knew the truth. Half her house knew that Ozzy had it out for her and she knew hell was happening inside the castle as she sat there.
The fifth year still had bruises covering her face but it was healing nicely, and she was sitting up right reading an assignment she had missed during one of her classes. Her friends were nice enough to fill her in on class things, and she even had flowers set to her from some of her housemates, telling her to get well.
Casey sighed a bit when she heard footsteps coming toward her, and looked up, her eyebrow raising. "Oh hey."

Mavican needed to get Casey some flowers at least and she was carrying some candy as well. The girl felt responsible in a way and Mavican hated feeling guilty when she could be having sex instead. The brunette figured she could drop these off and find a hot piece of ass on her way back to the common room.
Her eyes were on the little seeker and cocked her head when realizing that Casey was awake. Well that was going to be interesting to say the least. Mavican put the gifts down on the nightstand and smiled a bit.
"Hey champ." she said softly. Mavican ran a hand through her hair and sat down on the bed beside Casey's which wasn't occupied.
"How are you feeling?" she nodded at the gifts. "From the team by the way, our practice sucked with chuckles as the replacement seeker."
Mavican was the last person Casey expected to see, and the gifts weren't expected either. She knew of the girls reputation and even if Casey acted she didn't care what she did during her free time, she actually did care, deeply. But she was good at keeping her emotions in check, and besides she knew no one would be interested in her and it's why she refused to come out. She made the plan of holding onto it until after she graduated from Hogwarts. She had a couple of years of peace and it was needed - she didn't need distractions.
She eyed the older girl for a moment as she moved to face her while she was seated on the bed. She hated bed rest, and knew that she'd be released from the hospital wing within the next day. The people there wanted to make sure she was healing well, and would just release her back into the student body. "Wasn't expecting you to come." she admitted with a small frown and rubbed the bruise near her eye. They said she was lucky she wasn't wearing her glasses at the time.

Mavican wasn't the most supportive person, sure but she was just being nice here. The girl sighed and shrugged a bit. She just wanted to make sure Casey felt alright and wasn't going to collapse in classes or during training. She also had the deal so at least she'd be left alone. The brunette smiled weakly and eyed the gifts.
"Well I am a more charming face than our captain and I felt like I owe you at least for this." she said softly, her deal with Ozzy was not going to come out. Casey was safe and that is all that matters now. Besides it wasn't like Casey gave a damn.
"You will be back on that broom in no time." she assured her with a smile. "Did you get anything nice?"
Casey looked at her with a frown, and chuckled softly at the mention of their captain and nodded her head. Perhaps she was wrong about this girl, perhaps she did care or probably just cared about the team enough to try and get them their cup they deserved. Casey didn't know, she wasn't one to read minds but she was curious about what goes through Mavican's brain other than her usual hookups. The thought made her blood boil, and she hated it. She hated everything about herself right now, and had half of mind of just walking away from this crap.
"Why do you think you owe me? If you're feeling guilty for me being in here, don't. I got myself in here. I was stupid enough to think that I can go after him without thinking what that might do to me." she said and rubbed her head for a moment. She would still be feeling the beat down but at least the worse was over. At least she wasn't screaming in agony anymore like she did the first night she came here.
"Besides the flowers? Just some chocolate cake, which I already ate." she eyed the empty cake container. Her love for chocolate.

Mavican chuckled a bit as she eyed her. Surely Casey should know that Mavican was protective over her friends and her team. She might be a homeless brat from the streets but no one knew that. Mavican sighed and shrugged a little as she listened to Casey telling her not to feel guilty, oh she felt guilt alright but not for this.
"Just feel better soon, the practice needs you." she said and laughed a bit. "You should have seen the replacement, he fell off his broom twice... not even a feet above the ground." she said softly.
"Chocolate cake is the best cake though, I might be a little offended that you didn't think to share but I got you some bertie bott's and chocolate frogs."
Casey raised an eyebrow as she listened to her about the replacement and she shook her head. Okay, it seems like their team is falling apart and there was no way in hell she was going to let her team suffer because she couldn't keep a handle on her emotions. She knew she had to get back out there, and not disappoint them. Her brother played professionally and she looked up to him at times - and how she wanted to play for a league team. She knew she had to straighten herself out before she even thought about playing in the future.
There was a low chuckle from Casey as she looked at her teammate, and...friend? "Sounds like you guys are in major shit if he can't even sit on the broom." she said and reached for a chocolate frog, giving her a grin and played with it between her fingers. "Guess you guys miss little me. I promise I'll be at the top of my game again once I'm out of here." she said and grinned.

Mavican was selfish sure, especially when it came down to her future. She wanted a future in Quidditch and she surely wasn't going to get it if her team failed her in her last 2 years of school. Soon she would be fine with them fucking up because she will be out of this place of sin and delicious bodies but until then, she needed everyone to be in their best mindset for the games to come.
Mavican was amused by Casey's expression, she seemed to be doing really good and that was more of a blessing than anything else. Hopefully the deal with the snake was going to get better. The brunette stole a bean and ate it, thank god, cheese flavor.
"Well, he sucks. I mean I don't understand why he is even on the reserves list, he is worse than the firsties in their first lessons!" she complained and rolled her eyes.
"I do. So you get well soon champ. We need you." she winked a bit and nodded. "I am sure you will be great, I am a fan for sure."
Casey came from a family of Quidditch players - having two brothers play professionally and even heard that Don had played during his years at Hogwarts but decided to go a different way after graduation. The female grew up in a house hold of a bunch of fans of the Ireland Quidditch teams and she was lucky to have both her brothers playing for one. Whenever she could, she'd try to catch a game and sometimes she saw her brothers in the stands at her games when they can. They all supported each other, and she loved it. Though she didn't really speak about her brother's fame. She didn't want to be in their shadow, and some of her classmates didn't even know that two of them play professionally.
"Once I'm out of here, I'll get my broom and fly around to get back into it again. I promise we'll try and get this damn cup this year even if it kills me." she chuckled and grabbed a bean out of the pack, and ate it and almost gagged. Nope. Why do people do this to her? Ugh.
She grabbed her drink off the stand and tried to wash the flavor out. "why do they do this to people? It's cruel."

Mavican didn't have much in life. Unlike Casey she wasn't born with the Quidditch talent, she was a fighter and she fought and scratched for every single breath. The thought of losing this part that kept her going would be a disaster. The cup meant everything to Mavican even when some people think sex would be on the first spot.
Mavican let out a small laugh and eyed Casey eat a disgusting bean. Well she was lucky here with a cheese flavored one it seems. The girl took another and studied it before she ate it. Strawberries!
"I think you just have the bad luck!" she laughed a bit and took another, handing it to Casey. "Maybe I am your lucky charm?" she thickened her Irish accent with a small grin on her face.
Mavican played with a lock of hair. "You know you will really live up to your legacy when we win." she had seen the cups in the trophy room. "Have you ever looked at the trophies?"
Casey had no idea why she trusted this candy, but she had always been a little dare devil and would eat more than one to possibly cover a taste over another. Bad luck, yes. Casey had a lot of it as of lately, and she hated it. She wanted to quit but for some reason her friends and family kept her from falling. Last thing she wanted was for her father to hear that his daughter was a quitter, and he'd be proved right. No. She was going to play this sport for as long as she can and she was talented on the broomstick. She wasn't always that clumsy like she showed the day of practice where she fell and injured her own ass. She just had a lot on her mind.
Casey eyed Mavican as she held out a bean, and she popped it into her mouth, chewing on it and she gave her a thumbs up. "Apple." she said and was thankful for it. At least it wasn't vomit like she had moments ago. She wanted to vomit the moment that one went into her mouth. Goddamn, that accent was going to kill her. Sure, she had her own but she didn't make it thick on purpose.
She raised an eyebrow at her when she mentioned the trophies and chuckled a bit. "Yeah. I have." she said with a small blush and rubbed the back of her head. "Only two of my brothers made it to the professional teams." she said softly.

Mavican wasn't much of a candy person but she enjoyed these. They were a challenge and Mavican was always up for a challenge. The girl had few boundaries when it came to new things, new adventures. There was a grin as she looked at Casey and felt lucky when she got her an apple flavored bean.
"Sometimes I think these work with a person's touch.." she said and took another, chocolate! Mavican was actually feeling like something was off, like she was way too lucky.
"Oh come on, one day your name will be on it!" she said and poked her with her own foot. "I mean think about it, when we graduate there will be a trophy with our names on it because we will win that cup and we will have our names in gold forever." she was a very proud girl.
"Will you be going to try out for the professionals?" she asked curiously.
Casey was quite proud of her background - how her family had found their true calling in Quidditch playing. She watched her brothers play, and even attended their professional games whenever she could. She wasn't one to brag, cause people had famous siblings too. The female didn't want to live in their shadow, she wanted to be her own person and sure, they told her to think twice before joining the all female team. It was tempting, but she always dreamed of playing with her brothers or against them. She'd give them a run of their money, and they knew that she was the only Seeker in their family.
"I thought about it. If I don't get killed in the next couple of years." she joked, and looked at her for a moment. "Just hope I get scouted when I play for the next couple of years, and I know damn well my brothers are going to try pulling some strings but I don't want special treatment. I want to earn it, and so far I believe I have."
And she did. With her family name on some of those trophy's in the Trophy Room, she should be able to put it off.

Aside from Quidditch and sex mavican didn't have many passions. She found means to survive and seemed to enjoy it but Quidditch is where she did shine brighter than anything else. She wasn't the most gifted student and she could kiss the option of Quidditch captain goodbye.
The brunette listened to Casey and she could sense that passion she had for the sport. It was amazing and a small pain in her chest said that one thing that would be noticed was a great beater not getting the chance to shine in a big way.
"I always hoped of becoming Quidditch captain but.." She sighed and shrugged. "These teachers don't trust me. They only see the sex animal on the outside." she said softly and decided to lie down on the bed.
"I mean the sport is very important to me but they don't see it. No one probably ever will see me more than a sex toy." she sighed and closed her eyes.
"Girl you will get scouted and I will root for you!" she added and grinned.
Every time Casey was on her broom, she was focused and ready to catch that golden ball that is hard to see and dodged the Bludgers here and there. She was thankful that Mavican was on her team, protecting her ass and the others. She knew Mavican had their backs no matter what. Sure, the professors were likely to not give her the captain spot because of what she does in her free time, and sometimes Casey wished the girl would just settle her ass down than finding a warm body every night but Casey wasn't one to even bring that up. Last thing she needed was to lose this friendship.
Casey sat there for a few moments as she heard Mavican, her eyes down on the bed before her and she shifted to lie down on her own bed, her eyes finding the ceiling. "I see you more than a sex toy." she said, making a face for a moment as she realized what she had said.
Damn word vomit.
"To answer your question. My brothers play for The Kenmare Kestrels, and as much as I wish to play by their side as a team, I'm not against playing against them. And The Holyhead Harpies aren't a bad choice."
