With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Even if Morgan didn't play Quidditch, she would sometime come here and watch the teams practice and even lie in the middle of the grass when no one was around. But for now she was seated up in the stands as Ravenclaw finished up their practice and she watched her best friend in action, and realized they had less people on the field. The tiny girl that would sometimes fly around trying to catch the snitch was missing and she wondered if she was ill or quit the team. She knew Ozzy had it out of her, but she didn't know why he would just make one's life a living hell. It's like he knew something about her and no one else did.
A sigh escaped her as she stared out at the now empty field, and she knew she shouldn't keep giving her girlfriend the cold shoulder. Perhaps she should get advice from the person who would never settle down. Mavican knew what Morgan had went through, and even seen the mess during the summer. Seen the blood stained house while Morgan sat in the middle in shock.
Morgan looked up when she heard someone approach and she chuckled. "Looking good out there. But I don't think you guys have a chance at winning the cup when your seeker is missing."
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

Mavican was sweaty, hungry and without their seeker she was pissed. She already had fights with some teammates about this, about the fact that they could lose the biggest player on the damn team because of a fucky bully that keeps getting his way.
Mavican walked up to Morgan who seemed to have been watching and rolled her eyes. "Thanks to your ex boyfriend." she said with a hiss and tossed her broom aside before plopping down on the seat beside her friend.
"Why does he need to be such a dick? Really what can a 5 feet midget do to hurt his feelings?" she was so sick and tired of this. She didn't even have anything to do with it but their team was suffering.
Morgan made a face at the mention that Ozzy had something to do with Stevens being missing from practice and a part of her wanted to beat the guy senseless but she was dealing with her own crap right now. The fact that she hadn't spoken to her girlfriend in days had shown that her mood was at the edge, and she was close to snapping at those who dare to mess with her or anyone else she cared about. Morgan just grumbled a bit when she looked at Mavican, and nodded. "You know I regret dating that moron. I mean deep down, he is a decent guy but lately he's been off the rocks. I think it's because of his brother being missing." she said and sighed as she eyed her friend.
"I'm kinda...avoiding her right now. Kinda had a fight. Or well, I yelled and didn't give her a chance to explain something that had happened." she chuckled and shook her head. Morgan knew that she overreacted and acted like a bitch to her girlfriend when Ryker didn't do anything wrong.
"Leo Jordan made a move on her while I was in the room. But I guess that's what happens when I start falling asleep in random places."
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

Mavican couldn't care less about Ozzy's reasons, he was crossing lines he shouldn't cross and maybe she should tell Morgan about their little deal. That would crack her friend up surely. Mavican looked at her and snorted. "Right, well maybe he should pull his head out of his ass and do something useful." she joked.
"Honestly you won't believe what he did to me." she had a grin on her face. Maybe it was more amusing than she likes to admit. Mavican licked her lips and hummed.
"Well maybe kick him in the balls and get your girl back you little ginger grump." she bumped Morgan's shoulder.
Even if Morgan and Ozzy had good times when they dated, she knew that there was a monster underneath the nice guy act. She knew he had a history of getting his way, and even getting any girl he wanted but he went for her for some reason. Sure, no one was happy about it and she had to keep her brother from killing her then boyfriend when Ozzy made some remarks about her ass. Ozzy had a habit of getting under people's skins, and she knew if Dallas was still there in school, Ozzy would have gotten his own beat down.
Morgan shook her head and rolled her eyes. "What did he do? Please tell me he didn't pay you to sleep with him. Last thing you need is an STD or something." she snorted and knew Ozzy didn't get many girls to sleep with him because of his attitude.
"Everyone keeps telling me to harm Leo. It's tempting. Trust me."

There was a positive thing about being a slut in this place. No relationship drama. Mavican was quite content with that lonely life though deep down she truly didn't want to think of how lonely that life really was. It would just bring her into tears and she didn't need that.
Mavican eyed her friend and let out a groan from her sore arm. "Well. I would have hurt him if I were you but you know me, I like to punch men." she joked.
"Oh he did pay me alright but not for sex which is surprising if you ask me." she said and leaned back a bit to relax. She yawned and thought of how to explain this.
"So he has this rich people thing going on, with dinner and he needs arm candy." she told Morgan with a slight frown. "He paid me for that.. and a dress and I am making him pay literally for every touch we haven't discussed."
There was a chuckle from Morgan when her friend told her that she liked to punch men, and she shook her head at the thought of the time that her best friend would punch a guy for some dumb reason or another. There was a time where she had to make sure her best friend wouldn't punch one of the guys that were harassing them. Sometimes it wasn't worth the trouble, and she knew her friend didn't need to get into trouble because of that. Morgan loved her, and wanted her near. Safe. Not out in the world where she can be attacked at any giving moment by a werewolf.
The female moved to cross her legs as she eyed her friend for a moment as she listened to her and Morgan raised an eyebrow at her. "So you're going to drain whatever money he has?" she asked with a slight smirk. "Want me to make sure he behaves during this dinner? I can threaten him. I'm one of a few women that can make him shit himself if he dares to step out of line." she winked.

Mavican surely was a fighter. The brunette ran a hand through her hair and whined, she felt gross. She looked at Morgan who really didn't deserve any of the bad shit happening to her and a part of Mavican always judged her for dating Ozzy. He was just so disgusting it made Mavican sick to even look at his face.
"Oh trust me, by the time I am done with him, he will be a lot poorer and I will actually have designer clothes." she joked. Mavican the street rat who wasn't much of a street rat. She was grateful that Morgan never spilled the beans on it.
"Oh he will behave, if he thinks he can fool me, he has a whole other thing coming." The girl winked at that and thought about all the ways she could make his life hell.
"What is his problem anyway? Does he want Slytherin to win the cup that bad or does he have something against Casey?"
There's a lot about Ozzy that no one knows, and the fact he does have a heart and it'll show if you can find a way to soften him up. Morgan had her own ways to get her ex-boyfriend talking to her, and if she can't, Ryker could probably get to him. They can break down the walls he built up over the years. These days, he had built a wall much bigger than the ones he had built up in the past. Even if they had broken up because he turned out to be an asshole to some younger students, she still cared about him. Cared for his mental health.
Morgan looked down at the pitch, and eyed someone standing in the center. She just watched them for a moment and sighed softly. "The only thing I know is that his little brother is missing. He's been acting like everyone's worse nightmare since it's been announced to some of us that Peter had disappeared during their brotherly camping trip. Ozzy didn't go. And he blames himself. His father blames him." she said and looked at her best friend for a moment.
"And blaming oneself helps us cope in a way I guess." she looked down at her hands. "Like there are times when I wish I had died that night you and Dallas found me covered in all that blood. It's cause I don't want to deal with the nightmares and for the past few weeks I've only been getting little sleep here and there because every time I shut my eyes, I see them. I see their dead eyes staring at me. What kind of monster kills my parents and spares my life? Why did he do it? Why didn't he kill me too?"

Mavican wasn't one to judge but when a guy terrorizes people she often wondered what his deal is. Why he would do something like this to a person who wasn't even close to him. There was an obivious issue with him and she had heard him tell the very same story Morgan was telling her and it wasn't a good thing.
"I get that, he seems to carry guilt with him through it all but to blame it on innocent kids.." she shook her head and eyed her team down on the field.
"Casey could've died.. she was badly hurt because of his friends and his bullying." she looked at Morgan and took her friend's hand in her own. She kissed it softly and squeezed it gently.
"These people were not after the three of you.. they were after your parents.." she looked at Morgan with a frown. "They died protecting you.. this is not your fault.." she assured her and rested her head on Morgan's shoulder.
How would her best friend know what the criminal was thinking? The redhead had looked at her friend for a second after she spoke and she leaned her head against hers, looking down at the figure in the middle of the pitch, making her frown a bit. They were acting weird, and Morgan was curious but she didn't move, she just kept his eyes on the person as she thought over what her friend had said. Were her parents really protecting her, or was it something else? Sure, her parents were people that other wizards hated and there had been death threats but she didn't think it was an angry wizard with a grudge. It felt personal.
"How would you know that? Sure, my parents were hated by some but who would kill them in front of their daughter knowing full well that I could have easily defended them and myself. I was armed, I had my wand with me but I couldn't do anything. I froze on the spot after I've watched my father fall." she said and felt tears in her eyes.
"I think it's personal. One of the photos of my mother is missing."

Mavican knew that something was going on but Morgan could only do so little. She was still living in a world where muggles and wizards tried to blend together, tried to fit in. The brunette ran a hand through her hair and shook her head. This was complicated for both Morgan and her brothers but there was nothing she could do now, it was done.
"Hey if you used your magic, you would be in so much more trouble and even then Morgan you're not experienced enough." she said and took her hand in her own.
"If this is personal maybe we can look into it? See what happened? Maybe we can find clues." she offered. Mavican fighting crime sounded pretty fun.
The last thing Morgan wanted to do was to head back to the house it all happened - to look at the blood stained carpets. After they were taken out of the house, she hadn't stepped foot in that place even though it was left to both her and Dallas in case they would die. They sat on their family's money, sat on the house her parents were murdered. All the things she owned was in that house, and she was afraid to go back. Afraid of what might happen if she walked through the door.
"If I used my magic, I wouldn't have cared about getting in trouble. At least my parents would be alive instead of buried in the graveyard lot they had bought years ago." she made a face at the thought. It was then she noticed how prepared her parents were, if they were to die. Their will was updated, leaving their money and everything to their oldest children.
"If we do that, we have to go back to the scene of the crime."

Mavican sat back up straight and took a lighter out of her pocket. She spun it around in her hand and smiled a bit. The lighter was a payment she had once and it stuck to her, it was silver and very pretty. The thought of losing her mother never bothered Mavican, all she was was a trophy case until she got kicked out.
"Look we can look back and be guilted for the rest of our lives or you get justice for your parents and therefor peace." she said and eyed her friend.
"It might get ugly but.. maybe we can bring Dallas." she offered. Honestly Morgan and Dallas both needed peace and well they could use the big douchebag as a shield.
"Besides I am sick and tired of this school. I am never going to get scouted." she sighed softly and kicked the chair in front of her.
It scared the crap out of Morgan when she realized how prepared her parents were about death. In case they were to die, they had graveyard lots already bought. They kept their will updated, when the twins had aged, they changed it. They made sure their children were well off in the event of their deaths, and the twins were in charge of their baby brother's inheritance until he was sixteen years old. Why did they choose sixteen? She had no idea. The three of them still needed a guardian until after their Hogwarts years. They were living with the Jones family, and even if they weren't adopted, they needed someone to look out for them while two of them got their education.
Maybe taking Dallas to the scene of the crime will give them some closure. Give them some peace until their parents killer was caught. But for now Morgan wasn't going to forgive herself even if some people say it was simple. It wasn't. Not when you witnessed their murders. Not when you almost lost yourself that evening.
Morgan sighed a bit as she looked over at Mavican, her eyes on her friend and the lighter for a moment as she nodded in agreement. Fine, they can go back but Morgan didn't like it one bit.
Her eyebrows raised as her friend kicked the seat in front of them and she shook her head. "Not with that attitude you're not." she chuckled.
