With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Scorpius was reading the latest news his father sent him in a letter. His mother wanted to spend time with him but both Malfoys knew that Scorpius wasn't supposed to go to Hogsmeade yet, only kids over 13 were allowed to. Yet here they were trying to allow him to go anyway. Nothing was impossible for a Malfoy.
Scorpius sighed and sat back as he folded the letter closed, he would write them back eventually. The blonde boy sighed a bit as he heard footsteps and pushed a chair away.
Ozzy had walked into the Slytherin common room, rubbing his own shoulder and grumbled a bit. His should was sore due to his sister's actions, and he was in a terrible mood because of it. Someone ratted him out, and he was going to figure out who it was and was going to give them the Ozzy treatment. He already had a list of suspects, and he already questioned one of his buddies and they said they didn't say anything and he believed it. A sigh had escaped the seventh year when he spotted the second year student, and he headed toward him, pulling the chair out and took a seat.
"What's up?" he said and eyed the young boy. Okay, he only respected people from his own house, and would often fight for them. He also respected the Malfoy family. For some reason he wanted to take this boy under his wing. Teach him things.

Scorpius had been trying to prove himself to his father but he also thought this was all very hard especially on his own. The blonde let out a small sigh and eyed Ozzy who took a seat and asked him what was up. He often wondered about that question, the logical answer would be the ceiling, or the roof, or anything above him which could be many things in a castle.
Though he knew very well it wasn't meant that way. Scorpius let out a hum and tossed his work aside.
"I'm alright thank you." he said politely, his well mannered self showing. "How are you Ozzy?" he asked the boy who had a very nice name for a guy who wasn't really nice.
Ozzy leaned back in his seat, looking at the young Slytherin student and was expecting a smartass remark, but it was answered the way it should. He had respected the Malfoy family for a long time, and had see the boys father here and there. People would be shocked with how many families had influence on this school, his father himself one of those many parents. Of course Father Tyrell would - he had several children in the castle, some in the same house, others not so lucky.
"I'm fine. Just looking around for a certain buddy of mine. But I'll look later." he said as he eyed the work near him and he had half of mind of helping the student out because of course he was in his second year, and Ozzy was a seventh year, he'd help those who needed it.

Scorpius wasn't intimidated by the older student. He was actually looking up to him for counsel and advice because he was only 12 years old, he surely couldn't know as much now as he would in five years. The boy closed his books with a sigh and sat back, his legs crossed in the seat he had taken.
"Who are you looking for? Most of the students will not be here at this time of the day." he suggested and looked at Ozzy like he was an older brother in a way. He tucked the letter her was reading earlier between the homework pieces and started to clean up that mess.
"Is it a friend you are looking for or one of the brainless monkeys following you around like a puppet?" Scorpius didn't understand the idea of a possey. Why would he need one? Why did his father used to need one? Protection?
The male looked at the second year for a second, and he somewhat saw Peter in the kid. It bothered him deeply cause he knew that he wasn't a Peter replacement. Besides, Ozzy had several other siblings that he should look out for but he's been giving them hell cause they aren't going to be any part of the family business like he was. Sure, his sister was heir of the business if their father were to die but he was also going to have a big part, and a say in what happens with the business one day. He just hoped his father wouldn't die any time soon because his father meant a lot to the family. No one was ready to lose the man.
"Daniels. I think he told my sister about my....grudge against the Ravenclaw girl. And he needs a talking too. He seems to be the type to undermine me." he said and looked around as he heard a noise nearby and he eyed the young boy for a moment. "Brainless monkey. They all are to be honest. I don't entirely trust them with my little business."

Fear was often a great motivator to be a follower. Scorpius was well aware of his family's history with the death eaters and their motivator was both family loyalty and fear. Scorpius was glad not to be alive at that time but if he was he would have been so scared. The boy liked to make his friends flower crowns, no one would want someone like that in their ranks.
Scorpius looked at Ozzy and frowned for a moment, this boy also seemed to look for loyalty and it was a little scary. "I haven't seen him since breakfast.." Scorpius admitted and shrugged a little as he curled up in his seat to get comfortable.
"Why don't you scare him to make him stop?" he asked curiously.
"My dad sometimes scares people to make them stop."
The male had tilted his head when he listened to Scorpius, his eyes moving toward the entrance of the common room when he heard someone enter but it wasn't the guy he was looking for. His eyes stayed on that area when he thought over as to why doesn't he care his little brainless monkey into listening to him more. Sure, Ozzy made threats toward them once in a while if they got out of line and did something so wrong that the seventh year himself was disgusted. Ozzy was a bully, but he did have a heart deep down. He did care for the welfare of those around him.
"Yeah, I plan on it whenever I see him." he said, and looked at the young boy. "And your father is scary in general. No one would want to mess with that man. Not even my father would even want too." he gave the male a small smile.

Scorpius wasn't one to tattle on others and Ozzy seemed quite bugged so whatever he would tell Scorpius, he wouldn't tell on him. The young boy eyed the older one with a slight frown. His head shaking slowly.
"Father is not a bad man but he is very strict and proud of his blood." he told Ozzy and cocked his head to the side a bit. "I am nothing like my father, he knows I am not but he is still proud of me, acts like I am god's creation."
Surely Scorpius didn't complain but then again, his name was Scorpius for crying out loud.
To be fair, Ozzy envy those who had good relationships with their fathers. It was mostly because his father didn't see him as the son he was once proud of. No. Since the disappearance of Peter, Samuel Tyrell had been super hard on his eldest boy because Ozzy was supposed to be there with his brother and he didn't even want to go to that camping thing. He wanted to stay home. A fight happened between the two brothers, and Ozzy refused to even speak to him the day he left. Did he regret it? Yes. The guilt had been eating him alive since Peter never returned home. His father had gotten drunk and said he had wish it was Ozzy that disappeared and not his other boy. Both father and son never saw eye to eye.
"At least you have a father that loves you for you." he gave the second year a small smile and chuckled. "He wants what's best for you."

Scorpius looked at Ozzy and cocked his head to the side a bit. He loved his father for sure but he was always a bit different. He loved flowers and play with baby animals. He never really did the boy stuff most boys did at his age not to mention his fear for female human beings.
"My father does love me." he confirmed and looked at Ozzy as if he tried to say his own father didn't love him. Ozzy ran a hand through his hair and frowned.
"Doesn't your father love you?" maybe he was blunt in asking but he was curious why Ozzy would say something like that.
"I know my father wants what is best for me but I sometimes wonder if he understands I am not like him."
There was a time that his father had loved him, had wanted to groom him to be working in the family business after he graduated. But after the incident over the summer, Sam had turned his back on him because he feared for the life of one of his loved children. The blame Ozzy game had started then - and he had heard his father say he wish he went with Peter. Wished it was him that disappeared cause over the past several months, Ozzy had been acting out more and more. Maybe it was because freedom was right around the corner.
There was a sad smile on his face when Scorpius asked him if his father loved him and he shrugged for a moment. "To tell you the truth, I don't think he does anymore." he said softly, sounding a little sad but he just shook his head and sighed. "Enough about our fathers. How is your second year treating you?"

Scorpius knew his father loved him even when he was often harsh. He didn't understand that Scorpius was a flower person, maybe deep down he was a girl? No he wasn't he felt like a boy and all of this was quite confusing. The boy was happy his family accepted him but he felt sad for Ozzy because it seemed like his family didn't do that.
"That's not fair, I think he does love you." Scorpius assured him and smiled a bit. He didn't think Ozzy was a bad guy and when he changed subject it was mainly to avoid the current one, Scorpius didn't mind.
"It's been well. I have a lot of homework but it isn't all bad." he told him with a nod and cocked his head a bit. "How is seventh year treating you?"
The subject of his own father had bothered him gently, but he tried his best to hide it. Last thing he wanted was for one of his siblings to hear about it and tell Ariella. He didn't need his sister to know that he was going through daddy issues. No one needed to know about it, and sure, he wanted his father to say he was proud of him but he was never going to hear those words ever. Not since Peter disappeared, and it was Ozzy's fault. People say it was the alcohol that was speaking, but deep down Ozzy knew his father hated him for what happened to Peter. And Ozzy blamed himself.
"It's going okay. Trying to keep my grades up, and been told to stay out of trouble by my Professor Sister." he made a face at the thought. Why was she teaching there? To keep an eye on him? The others? He had no idea what his sister was up too but he knew he was going to be her right hand man once their father passes the family business to her. "If you need any help with homework, you can come to me."

Scorpius never disliked Ozzy. He was a sweet guy and always looked out for him. Honestly the guy talked big kind of like his father but that didn't make him a big bad wolf. At least not to Scorpius. Scorpius handed him a flower from his bag and smiled a bit at that.
"Your sister is kind of scary in potions class." he said softly and remembered her class with him. He was not even able to speak. "I don't like lady teachers, I can't talk to them." he added and shook his head a bit.
"That's very nice of you. Are you doing good with your classes?"
