With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Whenever David wasn't studying or is struggling with his writing muse, he would often find himself wandering around and just getting a closer look at things during his stay at Hogwarts. The Trophy Room was something he hadn't really paying attention too despite knowing this is where a lot of awards are held, and the former MVP of the house teams. He was surprised that he hadn't been in there during his stay, or if he had, he was zoned out of his mind while thinking of working on his novel. The novel that had hit a brick wall because his muse wasn't cooperating and he was mentally kicking himself.
The young male had been in there for the past half hour and was about to leave when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. A name. The name of his birth mother on a house cup. A former Ravenclaw herself, and he knew this was where the woman had met his father, a fellow student. For some reason David hadn't the chance to peek into the times his mother and father were in Hogwarts. He just knew they met, fell in love and married after they both had graduated.
Burke. His mother's name.
There was a sad smile on his face as he stared at the trophy, and he wondered if he can get the Hogwarts archives to look further into his birth parents lives at Hogwarts.
David snapped out of it when he heard a noise nearby.

Elena booked in around the corner, her feet sliding as she caught the ground with her hand and pushed off to keep herself moving. The blonde could feel her side aching from the cardio, but even more so from the laughter. She dipped down the stairs, and ran straight for the Trophy Room, nearly barreling over a boy in the room as well. She frantically put her finger to her lips as she hid around the corner as a group of angry girls couldn't seem to talk as anything more than an angry babbling. To be fair, they'd deserved it, and she did not regret it.
She let out her held breath in exasperated relief, " Finally, " She chuckled gently as the sound of babbling finally disappeared. "Sorry for nearly running you over, mate, " The half-veela smiled, fixing her curly, pale ponytail. "Long story short, I put some ten-ton toffee in their candy assortment, " She shrugged, figuring at this point they would've likely thought of him as an accomplice regardless of his real role in it... Teen girls could be irrational, strange creatures, even by her standards.
There was a moment where he'd ask - why me? The moment he had taken his eyes off the trophy, his eyes had went wide when he saw a blonde girl coming around the corner and almost running him over, only to put her finger to her lips and had watched as she hid from the voices near by. He turned his attention back to the trophy quickly, knowing damn well that those girls could be looking for his almost murderer. They had sounded angry, and his eyes looked at the group as they moved on and he raised an eyebrow when they were out of sight, and the blonde spoke.
He turned his attention back to her, his eyebrows still arched as he wondered what the hell was happening. Sure, it wasn't any of his business but he was curious as to why she was running like she was being chased by a bunch of trolls. The male looked her over for a moment before back to the trophy he was staring at moments before. Perhaps he'd look into that stuff later.

Elena slid down the wall, taking a seat for a moment as she still caught her breath a bit. while she always kept in pretty good shape for qudditch, she couldn't deny the she loved her sweets... And maybe the fact she'd had to run like a bat out of hell hadn't actually help her in the moment much either. She looked up At the boy offering a small shrug as he asked why would've be that, " Reasons, " She remarked, obviously, " Mostly the fact they feel the need to call me some... Unsavory things, " She didn't even bother repeating it, but her eyes averted from his.
Elena was one of few weeks half breeds in the school. While there were some that could claim a fewer percentage very seldom did one meet someone half-blood. She certainly wasn't ashamed, but the fact people called her a 'beast' or An 'animal' was quite vexing. Some days she almost took it as a compliment. At least animals weren't judgy little prats. "I figure I won't hear much name calling when they can't talk properly."
David took one last glance to where the girls had disappeared too to make sure they were actually gone instead of lurking near. Once he had figured that the coast was clear, he moved a little bit as he listened to the female explain the reason why she'd do what she had done and he had given her a nod. Typical mean girls, always think bullying others will make them popular . But no, it'd turn them into something else, and David didn't approve of this at all. He hated mean girls, mean guys. He would have done the same thing if he was in her place.
His eyes moved to the female and he decided to join her on the floor, leaning against the wall and got comfortable. "Typical mean girls. They think it's cute but seriously, it's making them very ugly. I would have done the same thing if it was me." he said and stared ahead as he thought of the times people tried to bully him, but he always sent him the death glare he had. And sometimes people just kept their distance because he kept to himself mostly..
