With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧
Kaylie had to work on school things and she refused to bother her girlfriend with stupid questions about it. She didn't want to come off dumb compared to the Ravenclaw and sighed as she sat in the library with her nose deep down into the books she hated to read.
Kaylie let out a sigh and just laid down, face first on her work. She hated this, she hated school. The girl yawned and wondered why she couldn't just drop out. Why did she have to stay here? There was no reason for her to even enjoy this place except for Alana.
Studying without much sleep was throwing Morgan off balance, and finding places to nap was becoming harder. She had found herself drifting off during a class of hers, and had caught herself from actually passing out due to the lack of sleep. Thankfully no one noticed or so she thought. Now she had found herself in the library, debating if studying was something worth doing at that very moment or she'd go back to the dorm room and sleep for a couple of hours before she'd find herself pacing the common room area before morning classes. She'd find herself drinking two or three cups of coffee.
She was about to up and leave the library when she eyed her classmate and somewhat friend who had placed her head down on the table. There was a chuckle as she pulled out a chair and leaned her head down to eye her closely. "You know, if you want to nap somewhere I know a perfect place to do that." she whispered a smirk.

There was a voice that decided to wake Kaylie from her small and subtle slumber. This resulted in the blonde shooting up, almost fall backwards with her chair if she didn't manage to hook her legs around the table's legs.
"Fuck me sideways.." she squealed a little louder than she should and eyed Morgan with a slight growl. Dammit.
"Oh fuck Reid.." she said and yawned before letting her head fall back down on her book. She hated the lack of good sleep, it gave her small performance issues and she refused to have those around her girlfriend.
Morgan cackled a bit when her classmate shot up, and almost fell but managed to catch herself by using her long legs. The redhead just quickly placed her hand on the back of the chair to make sure it wouldn't fall back and she heard her friend curse, making her raise an eyebrow, her mouth opening to respond. "I might not be talking to my girlfriend right now, but that's a little forward, Rousseau." she said and raised an eyebrow as she eyed her friend. This amused her to no end. She leaned back in her own chair.
"Again, a little forward." she teased and winked. "Oh, now you're saying I'm deaf. You know you really should watch that mouth of yours, sweets. Someone might think you're offering and I don't think dear old girlfriend would like that very much."
Her head tilted to the side. "You should head to the empty classroom nearby to catch some shut eye."

Kaylie didn't completely dislike Morgan. A part of her actually sort of did like her. The thought of sleeping with her would have crossed her mind before she started dating the hot Ravenclaw vampire that was well.. dangerous which was very much a turn on. The blonde yawned and rubbed her temples with the palms of her hands.
"I just haven't slept at all lately." she complained daily about the other people here but not so much about her lack of sleep. "Wait why are you not talking to your girlfriend?" she asked and Kaylie suddenly felt very interested.
Drama of others was the highlight of her day after all. The blonde scooted a bit closer and listened intently.
"Well dear old girlfriend depends on which one." she grinned. "Mine would probably eat me for breakfast.." she mumbled and shook her head. "And not in the sexy way." she rubbed her eyes and slapped herself hoping that would wake her a little.
"I don't need a nap.. I need a break from this place. Really I shouldn't be here.."
The desire to up and leave Hogwarts had been in her head since her brother was attacked, and now she wish she had followed him instead of listening to their parents about staying in school. But she didn't want to disappoint them at the time, and nowadays she's been thinking of it over and over because if she couldn't make things up with her girlfriend, what was the point? Ryker had kept her grounded after her brothers attack, and now she hadn't spoken to her because of a certain incident in the classroom with Ryker's best friend. She was a little annoyed at him now.
"Because I'm in a bad head space, and her best friend didn't help matters at all. He...sorta made a move on her and well, I didn't give her a chance to explain." she frowned for a moment and then snapped out of it when she tried to avoid thinking of what had happened in that classroom.
"Do you want to get out of here. Like....go to Hogsmeade with me? Looks like you can use the fresh air." she said and nodded at the books. Studying was boring anyway.

Kaylie would have quit school if it wasn't for Alana but that girl was insisting for her to stay and she didn't know why. What was so great about it? She had no future and she knew that damn well. The blonde ran a hand through her hair as she sat up again.
"Sure let's get wasted and then you can go make up with the girlfriend. Relationship drama is too damn stressful." she mumbled and shoved the books in her bag before getting up. She really needed to get the hell out and get some fresh air.
"Did you kick his ass at least?" she asked Morgan and held her hand out to her friend.
Morgan smiled when Kaylie agreed to go to get a drink somewhere in Hogsmeade, and stood up too. She wasn't ready to face her own girlfriend right now, and needed a little more time for herself before she were to go see her. Sure, she's been getting notes and such but she had ignored it, knowing it would hurt Morgan herself. But people knew she needed her space before she blew up on them and no one needed that from the little redhead. She had done it once before her parents were killed because someone was pushing to be a partner in class. She snapped, threatened them and even got in trouble by the professor at the time.
"Kinda wish I did but you know, if I blow up, it ain't pretty." she said and chuckled softly as she moved out of the aisle after the other girl packed her bag. "Come on, I know the perfect place to get some drinks without being questioned what age we are."

Kaylie was pretty keen on the idea of getting wasted and not only because it was fun but also because it helped her deal with things she didn't want to deal with. Some people would rather avoid getting drunk and be responsible but Kaylie refused to be a responsible person, she hated it and it wasn't like her.
Besides she was going to die soon, why would she start being a good girl now?
"Sounds perfect, I really don't need people on my case about my drinking." she told Morgan and walked out of the library with a nice pace in her step.
"So why the bad headspace if you don't mind me asking?"
Morgan followed her housemate out of the library, a little amused at the steps she was taking. The sixteen year old had managed to find the perfect place for drinks and not be questioned, perhaps it was because of the influence her parents had on some people. No one knew about her drinking except for her brother, and he told her to be super careful cause last thing they all needed was two Reid's out of school and that wouldn't be too good for their little brother. He worried her sometimes, and she wanted to make sure he stayed out of trouble. They were all Reid's and none of them were innocent.
"Well besides the whole girlfriend and her best friend incident, a lot has happened before that that....well..." she paused for a moment as she thought about her parents murder. She wasn't entirely open about it. "Something terrible has happened over the summer, and I'm still dealing with it. The trauma of it all." she sighed as she walked beside her. She looked around for a moment to make sure no one was near.

What was the worst that could happen? Kaylie had asked herself that every time someone came to her with a problem. Honestly there was so much bad shit out there she didn't expect everyone in this school to go through that kind of shit but sadly this girl just as many others was a fuck up in a place full of them. The blonde cocked her head as Morgan told her her parents were killed.
Hell she didn't even hear her go through girlfriend troubles, nope the dead parents was what interested her. Dare she ask how? could she borrow the killer for her own gain? The girl decided on neither of those and to just show sympathy instead.
"I'm sorry to hear that." she told her and walked out of the library with a frown still on her face. "Do the professors know?" she asked and knew Morgan had a brother, the guy wasn't bad but him and Kay could have ended up in fist fights with their tempers.
Sharing the fact that her parents were killed was something Morgan didn't do to seek attention. No, she only told some people because maybe they deserved to know and not make parent jokes around her which would set her off. Even if Dallas was the one many would fear, she too had her temper and had gotten into her share of fights. Especially after Dallas was forced out of Hogwarts due to being bitten by a werewolf. There were times where she'd have to make sure her little brother kept his nose clean because if their parents had heard that the youngest was getting into trouble, there would be punishment by her parents and she was thankful they weren't abusive.
"The professors know, yes. It's not something I'll keep from them and Dallas is Dallas. Skylar is dealing with it too." she said as she walked, looking behind her for a moment as she heard a noise but it was just a first year dropping crap on the floor. She looked at her with a small frown. "We're all fine, as far as I know."

Kaylie did feel bad for Morgan and she had to deal with her werewolf brother as well as taking care of a younger one. She surely had no idea how to help in any way and honestly she didn't really want to. She wasn't best friends with Morgan for crying out loud. The blonde just nodded as Morgan spoke.
"I'm glad you're doing okay. I mean that just sounds shit." she said with a small smile and looked behind her when she heard the noises. Oh well then. The blonde sighed and headed out of the library. She really needed to get drunk, it was something she really felt like it would make her feel better.
Kaylie took a flask out of her pocket and took a gulp. "Here.."
Morgan would be lying if she said she wasn’t one to drink alcohol because that’s what she had been doing for the past several weeks. She’d find a place to get alcohol, drink and get dragged back to the castle by a trusted friend. She knew the risks of getting into trouble if she had a drink at Hogwarts but she’s been careful not to get caught, and she made sure no one was looking in her general direction. She wasn’t expecting Kaylie to have alcohol on her person, and was quite surprised when the female pulled out a flask.
Her mouth opened as she watched her before taking the flask and taking a large gulp herself, groaning a bit. ”Shit’s strong.” she said in a low tone as she handed it back to her. Strong alcohol was the best alcohol.
