With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Sally is the youngest child of the Jordan family, and their only daughter. With two big brothers, she has always been determined to prove that she can hang with the boys and that being a girl doesn't make her weak. She's just as tough as the rest of them - in fact, even tougher because she plays the position of beater for Hufflepuff.
Sally gets along best with people who aren't afraid of getting dirty and who are happy to have a laugh. Once she makes friends with you, she'll be loyal for life - unless you wrong her, then she'll likely come to blows.
The types of people she doesn't get along with prissy people, crybabies, purists, and those with superiority complexes. She'll make it clear she doesn't like you too.
Sally's still quite young, but hormones are kicking in and she's beginning to develop crushes on other people... of the female persuasion. She hasn't fully realised that she fancies girls though, instead chalking it up to just thinking they're really cool chicks she admires instead.
Growing up, Vi has always been a free spirit - something that her mums have encouraged because they want their children to be themselves. As a result, Vi has embraced who she is and to put it simply... she's an oddball who loves to shower her loved ones with affection.
Vi doesn't quite fit in with her Ravenclaw peers - in fact, a lot of them find her bothersome since she was sorted into the house for her creativity and not her intelligence (a bit of a sore spot) - but that doesn't stop her from trying to befriend them anyway, along with most people she encounters.
The type of people Vi conflicts with a lot are people who bully others. Whilst she's generally a laid back girl, she'll set the record straight if you come for her, her friends or her family. People who wouldn't like Vi would be those who hate casual touching or her always bubbly attitude.
Romantically, Vi doesn't really want a boyfriend or a girlfriend. She's young and she wants to have as much fun as possible! For Vi, this means... she wants to lock lips with as many people as she can. It's a goal of sorts.
Alex hasn't had the easiest of lives and it shows in the way he carries himself. He lost his parents when he was five due to a house fire, and then he went into the foster system where he spent a lot of miserable time in group homes. It wasn't until last year that things turned around when ZOE SAVAGE adopted him.
Due to his depression, his standoffish nature, and general distrust of people, Alex doesn't have many friends. In fact, he had none until his fourth year. He finds it hard to talk to people and when he opens up, it's usually about more obscure topics to wizards such as muggle music, superheroes, sci-fi/fantasy novels, etc.
Alex tries his best to blend in with the crowd because he doesn't want to make himself a target for cruelty, but unfortunately he goes to such lengths that it draws attention to him. All of his life, he's been bullied for being quiet, weird, not acting like the 'typical boy' and that hasn't stopped at Hogwarts.
Alex has recently come to terms with the fact he's gay, and he's only told a handful of people that he's close to. He's fearful that the bullying would only become worse as liking boys makes him 'different.' He thinks quite a few guys are cute, but he would never say that aloud.
On the surface, most people would view Ileana as a wild, spoiled rich girl and they'd be right - she is. But from a young age, she's been crying out for attention due to her professor father's dedication to his job more than his kids and the fact that even though she's his little princess, she'll never mean more to the family than her brother CONSTANTIN DASCĂLU . She'll always be below him and the other men in her family when it comes to status. Just wanting to be noticed, Ileana often pulls stupid, insane stunts to get all eyes on her.
Due to her tendency to go too far and push people's limits, Ileana doesn't have many genuine friends, more like... people who will just put up with her antics.
Enemies, however, are plenty. Ileana often preys on more innocent souls to do her dirty work or to draw information out of them. She also finds humour in 'accidentally' dosing people with potions and watching the consequences unfold. More than once, she's managed to get somebody to give another person amortentia.
Romance-wise, Ileana likes to be wanted, and she's not shy about hooking up with other people. More often than not, she'll be the one to initiate something if somebody catches her eye.
Most people look at Greyson and think he's an arsehole, and they'd be right. He is, unapologetically so. But a lot of it has to do with his upbringing. At age four, Greyson lost his mum and two sisters who got caught in the cross hairs of a Ministry/Death Eater wand fight, then he was taken on the run for three years with his dad, ripped away from his twin brother in the process. If that wasn't bad enough, Greyson also played witness to his dad murdering his aunt's muggle husband which led to him, traumatised, accidentally giving his and his fugitive father's whereabouts to a shop keeper. His loose lips led to his father being captured, then Greyson being sent to live with his uncle, his twin and his cousin. Greyson's been a mess ever since and has turned to very unhealthy coping mechanisms as a result.
Due to the fact that Greyson isn't a nice guy at all, he doesn't have many friends which, quite simply, is the way he likes it. He'd rather have a few people he's loyal to and trusts than a bunch of people he has to pretend to like all the time. He does have a few acquaintances though, people he parties with because they're fun.
The people Greyson doesn't befriend usually become his enemies and that's because he'd be forthright in saying he doesn't like them. If he perceived them as weak, he'd call them out on it and depending on how much they annoy him, they might even be bullied by Greyson. Oops.
Romantically, Greyson's just here for a good time. He doesn't do commitment, he just wants to get laid by anyone willing. He gravitates more towards women, but he's gotten friendly with a guy more than once.

Despite growing up in a financially comfortable household, Aggy doesn't look back at her childhood with fondness. It's plagued with memories of her now-divorced parents fighting, something they still do to this day, using her as a 'weapon' to one-up each other. When Aggy first started Hogwarts, she was a meek, quiet and sweet girl however in the summer before her third year, she went through a very traumatic experience and changed pretty dramatically to the girl she is nowadays - more blunt, prickly and to the point.
The change in Aggy's personality in third year caused a loss of friends and to this day, she still doesn't have an abundance of them. The few she does have, she's fiercely loyal to. She connects best with those who she can have playful banter with and who don't have the wrong opinion on important topics, e.g. those who are anti-wolf, anti-feminism, anti-muggleborn, etc.
As for enemies, Aggy has made a few due to her strong views on a lot of things and the fact that she won't hesitate to snark back at those particularly nasty in nature.
Aggy's romantic life is... non-existent really. She went through a traumatic event at a party when she was thirteen and often has nightmares as a result. She can't stand anyone touching her, and last year was the first time she's kissed people since it happened - and that was in a game of Spin the Bottle. If she was to embark on a relationship, it would have to go really slowly.
RESERVED, WICKED SENSE OF HUMOUR, makes consistently bad choices
TRAITS
Lydia's upbringing, compared to most of her classmates, is a bit... er, weird. Whilst most people would assume with a famous uncle that her family is Quidditch mad too, they'd be wrong. Instead of growing up riding broomsticks and playing sports, Lydia grew up on a farm in Wales, helping her family shovel mooncalf dung for a living. At school, this combined with Lydia's personality and poor decision making (like sleeping with someone who has a girlfriend) has made her a bit of an outcast.
To be honest, Lydia doesn't have many friends. It's not because she's an awful person but more so because it takes her a while to open up and come out of her shell. When she does, people discover she has a dry, wicked sense of humour and she'll stick by their side no matter what.
For Lydia, enemies are somewhat... high. A lot of people disapprove of the fact she slept with Thomas Wood (who has a girlfriend), then quite recently accidentally kissed his brother, Evan, thinking it was Thomas when she was drunk at a party. There's a fair few people who think she's weak too because instead of defending herself, she just... shuts down emotionally during conflict.
Lydia's romantic life is up in flames, plain and simple. She wants to forget about Thomas though so if anyone is up for a fling, she may be open to it.
CURRENT NEEDS
open to minor flings, people who'll entice her into trouble, an unlikely best friend
Grace is the youngest child of Neville and Hannah Longbottom, two hard-working yet slightly overprotective war veterans who just want the best for their kids. She's grown up helping her mum in the Leaky Cauldron and giving her herbologist dad a helping hand in the greenhouses.
As a whole, Grace is a very sweet person who tries her best but she definitely has her downfalls - she's naive, insecure and she's an anxious mess approximately 99% of the time.
Despite her flaws, Grace has quite a few friends in Hogwarts. She goes out of her way to be warm and welcoming to all, and she's very well-mannered and polite most of the time. Once she makes a friend, they're generally her friend for life and they can always count on her company.
There's quite a few people who wouldn't like Grace. Primarily because she's weak - she's very emotional and does an awful job at hiding that, plus her backbone is essentially non-existent. She's now Head Girl too and giving people detention for wrongdoings doesn't exactly rub people the right away.
Grace is currently off the table dating-wise. People are welcome to flirt with her - she'll probably turn pink and start stammering if she picks up on it - but she won't flirt back because she has a boyfriend.
Even though Rowan's a half-blood wizard, he actually grew up in the muggle world with his squib mother and younger sister, Rue. If you would have asked him a year ago if he was an overprotective big brother, he'd say no, but now that his sister's a werewolf living with the Trossachs... the answer would be yes - but... he doesn't like to talk about it. In fact, Rowan doesn't like to talk about his feelings at all, instead playing the role of 'cheeky, laid-back hipster friend,' not wanting to bring other people down.
Rowan's a very friendly, easy-going person and so he has quite a few friends around the castle. He's not very selective when it comes to who he chills with - if there's a vibe, then there's a vibe, but if not then he's happy just being acquaintances. He'll probably bond the most with music lovers and Quidditch fanatics.
There's probably a few people Rowan dislikes just because he thinks they're too mean to others, but if there's conflict then he'll probably make a joke or passive comment to keep the peace. He doesn't really do fighting, he's not exactly a hot head.
Romance-wise, Rowan is crushing on someone but they're not really talking at the moment. He's not looking for a relationship with anyone other than this person, but if he meets someone at a party, he's probably down for a cheeky snog. He's pretty sure he's bi, too, so bonus points if it's a guy to help him confirm.
CURRENT NEEDS
some boy to give him a party snog, friends, enemies
Vinda grew up rich, but her life definitely isn't all roses. Her Death Eater papa is in Azkaban, her mother is a raging alcoholic with a secret child to Vinda's uncle, and her grand-mère is trying to control everyone's lives to preserve the family reputation. The only saving grace is Vinda's older brother who she likes better than anybody else in the world.
Personality-wise, Vinda always puts herself first. She's ambitious, manipulative, and she will stop at nothing to become a world-renowned potioneer. As a result, she doesn't have many friends and she's okay with that. The few friends she does have are people who hold similar views on life as her, and who are happy to bitch and gossip with her.
Vinda's enemies are abundant. She's not very nice, and she can be absolutely ruthless if you cross her. She won't necessarily instigate fights, but she will sit there and silently judge people. Whilst she's not overly vocal about it she thinks she's better than most other people and makes that clear in her mannerisms.
Last year, Vinda was betrothed which was an absolute mess, and the arrangement only just ended over the summer. She's not looking for a romance but with the right person, she might enter a mutually beneficial 'with benefits' relationship.
Teresa grew up in a well-off family with two parents who didn't have any time for her or her little brother. The nanny mostly raised her which resulted in her becoming fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian. Despite her parents general apathy towards her, when Teresa was bitten in the 2016 Hogwarts Attack and became a werewolf, they kicked her out of home. This has led to Teresa becoming a very angry young woman at the world - she hates her parents, she hates Hogwarts, and she hates the Ministry for making her suffer.
Friends of Teresa are few and far between. She doesn't trust anyone really - the last time she let herself do so, it was when she joined the Trossachs who she wasn't aware were responsible for her being bitten in the first place. Finding that out has made her trust issues only grow bigger and she's still hesitant to believe the Cotswolds pack who she's now with has her back. She doesn't quite fit in, but she may develop friendships with some of them tentatively.
Since Teresa technically betrayed the Trossachs by helping rescue the Lupin baby, most of them would hate her and view her as a traitor which is fine with her. There's likely a few Cotswold pack members who would thoroughly dislike Teresa for helping the Trossachs commit several crimes too. Back in school (Teresa didn't even get to finish her fifth year), Teresa wasn't well liked since she didn't take any shit and she gladly put people in their place. On top of all that... Teresa gets by by sleeping with people and robbing them afterwards, so any victims would hate her too.
Whilst Teresa usually sleeps about for money and to steal from people, she occasionally enjoys casual sex. She isn't looking for commitment and these would mostly be one night stands.
TEDDY LUPIN - ex boyfriend to enemies to slowly becoming friendly again SCARLETT BIANCHI - helped save her baby, on good terms mostly VERANDI FARLEY - hopes she rots in Azkaban for the rest of her miserable life DAMIAN BELANGER - ex-friendly school rivals @kiernan - one night stand, trustworthy

Some may say that Astrid was born into an unconventional family, and they'd be right. Her parents had her when they were young and when they split, they decided to remain friends. As a result, Astrid has grown up spending a lot of time with her parents, step-parents and half-siblings as one big happy family. But that's not to say that life has dealt Astrid the best cards - she is a seer and during 2016, she prophecised the Hogwarts Attack. This led to a stint as a patient at St. Mungos before she decided to find herself and study the craft of being a seer whilst travelling. She's now come back and is teaching Divination at Hogwarts in her own way.
Astrid's a very easy friend to have. She's always up for chilling out, even if it's just to grab a drink or sit back and smoke some weed. She loves animals, nature and anyone with similar interests are likely to vibe with her the best. She was a Hufflepuff at school but mingled with everyone so ex-school friends are totally welcome.
Astrid doesn't go out of her way to make enemies of others, but the people she clashes with more than others are non-believers who think she's a 'fraud' or 'crazy' for saying she's a seer. She thinks those people need to be more open-minded. She doesn't get along with those who are openly prejudiced against creatures or people who are 'different' because why not just let them be if they're not hurting anyone?
Astrid has never had a long-term partner, and she doesn't really want one either. She's just happy being a free spirit who's able to sleep with whoever she wants, whenever she wants.
RICHARD LINWOOD - unlikely best friend @alicia - one night stand, surprise colleague ARIELLA TYRELL - judgmental skeptic LEIF GUSTAVSON - accidentally got high, adorable as hell
At thirty-one years old, Hope has experienced more death and tragedy than most people have in a lifetime. When she was ten, she watched her parents be murdered by Greyback and the Cursebreaker, then helped put the Cursebreaker behind bars. When he was released twelve years later, he and Greyback murdered her husband and daughter in an act of revenge. This left her determined to avenge her loved ones any way she could. She currently helps the Ministry enforce laws and legislation against werewolves to keep the public safe by acting as the Ministry Liasion at Hogwarts, but she's also a trained Auror.
Hope is a professional. She's very goal orientated but she's not the cold hearted bitch people believe her to be - she's personable, warm, and level headed. She truly believes her actions are for betterment of the wizarding community. But despite this, she doesn't have many friends because she's far too wrapped up with work. Truth be told, she's a little lonely.
There are lot of people out there who perceive Hope as their enemy and vice versa. A lot of old hat Ministry officials dislike her because they believe she's doing a 'man's job' and Hope outspokenly thinks that their beliefs are outdated. Hope has also arrested a lot of people as an Auror who take issue with her but she believes in upholding the law which shouldn't have been broken to begin with.
Hope's been grieving her husband for the last nine years and she hasn't gone on so much as a date since. Lately though, she has began developing feelings for a certain friend and colleague, but they're not fully realised yet.

Jack grew up on a farm in Ireland to a muggleborn mam and a half-blood da. He was the only child for ten years, then came along his little sister Maggie. During his school years, Jack helped fight alongside Dumbledore's Army and tried his best to advocate for others. On one occasion, this resulted in Jack being tortured by the Carrows. After the war, Jack suffered from PTSD and he had to seek treatment from healers. He mostly he has a handle on it now. Jack's hero streak has continued to this day where he fights strongly for werewolves and their rights whilst simultaneously trying to help as many people as possible.
Although Jack invests a lot of time and effort into his work, he does have a few friends. Granted, he doesn't spend a lot of time with them but when he has free time, he'll grab a cup of coffee if schedules line up. He gets along best with those who share his viewpoint on the werewolf situation and are pro-equality.
Anyone who is anti-werewolf would fall into Jack's list of people he dislikes, as well as anyone who took Voldemort's side during the war and haven't changed their outdated, purist views since then. Jack cannot stand bigots and he would definitely challenge their beliefs.
Jack's longest relationship lasted a few years and he was almost even engaged to the person before they were driven apart, mostly due to Jack throwing himself into work to distract himself from the guilt he felt towards his sister being bitten by a werewolf. Since then, he's had a few short-lived romances but nothing serious because he just doesn't have the time to invest in a long-term relationship. He's not looking to settle down right now, but he'd be open to going on a few dates or having a casual relationship with somebody.

At the age of forty-one, Nikolai has lived an interesting life, to say the least. He was born in Russia and he attended Koldovstorez where he worked hard to earn the NEWTs required to enroll in the stressful healing program at the local wizarding hospital. He was doing what he was supposed to do, making his parents proud, but then he met a boy and that's when things took a turn for the worse. Nikolai wound up addicted to Felix Felicis and ended up overdosing at work. Embarrassed and ashamed, Nikolai got clean then fled to Australia to finish his traineeship, leaving his family behind and cutting himself out of their lives completely.
For the past twenty years, Nikolai has worked in Australia as a Healer, but after realising that things were becoming too stressful and he was on the verge of slipping back into taking potions to cope, he decided a change of scenery was necessary. In May 2019, he took the job as Hogwarts Matron where he's been working ever since.
Since Nikolai is fairly new to Britain and not the warmest of fellows, he hasn't got many... if any friends. People who are willing to put up with his to-the-point, gruff demeanor may have a shot at worming their way into his life, especially if he can see they're hard-working and not a total idiot.
Nikolai's personality often rubs people the wrong way and he's likely made a few 'enemies' with his lack of social graces. There's a good chance of students disliking him because he focuses more on treating patients efficiently than beside manners.
Romance-wise, Nikolai is only into men. He doesn't hide this but then again, he doesn't really talk to people. He has never had a long-term relationship or even a 'real' boyfriend (the one he did have used him to buy black market potions). He has had a few one night stands and a regular bed partner or two, but they've all been left in Australia. He'd be down for something happening though if the right person was interested.
