With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧
Rose was actually hungry all day and it seemed like nothing could stop her from going to kitchen and take the food she craves so much. Rose had been sneaky, it was late and she didn't want to be caught. Oh if her mother could only see her now! She would blame her father and his horrible habit of eating too much food.
Rose snuck into the kitchen and was about to turn and pretend she didn't get in but David wasn't scary right?
"Hey David!" she said and headed over to him, a plate of brownies appearing on the table with a glass of milk. Perfect!
David had found himself in the kitchen wanting cookies, and brownies along with a tall glass of milk. He had been studying hard, and needed a snack break, and figured no one else would be in the kitchen at that time. He was there for about five minutes before he heard footsteps approaching and at first he had thought it was a professor but instead, a redhead appeared in the doorway and he went back to eating his goodies. He didn't really mind Rose Granger-Weasley much at all - he considered her as a friend. Sorta. He knew that she can be an odd one just like him.
"Hey Rose. Getting yourself a snack?" he asked before shoving a chocolate chip cookie into his mouth and smiled as he chewed happily on the cookie. It was freshly baked and he didn't mind sharing it with a friend. He had just nudged the plate forward as he leaned against the counter.

Rose was really happy to see David. The more the merrier and she liked to not get in trouble by herself, other people getting into trouble with her now that was her jam. The redhead ran a hand through her hair before taking a brownie and reaching for the glass of milk as well. She took a bite happily, groaning as she did so. This was life.
"Yeah.. I am starving and nothing seems to stop the craving today." she told him and took another bite. The girl was curious why he was here though and swallowed her brownie bite before she would ask anything.
"What are you doing here? I am well just really hungry."
David grabbed another cookie from the plate, taking a bite and smirked as he watched the redhead dig into the brownies. It was amusing to watch a fellow student, or well, friend enjoy the junk that is brownies and cookies. Usually girls mostly worry about their weight and avoid junk food at all costs but most of his friends didn't care about it. They would often eat as much as their little bodies can handle. Like he had always told his sisters, enjoy your childhood for as much as you can cause adulthood is right around the corner and it would take away all the fun.
"Same as you. Needed a study break and found myself wanting cookies, and brownies. Came here to get away from the books." he said as he took a sip from his own glass of milk. Good. Hitting all the right spots and it just made him smile more.

Rose loved school, she really did but being the daughter of Hermione Granger was like being the daughter of the queen it seemed. She knew her mother had a reputation but she didn't know the size of it or the strength of it all. As soon as her name was called her mother was mentioned, the wisest witch at her age.
"Do you sometimes get overwhelmed though?" she asked and eyed David. "Like when they call your name and they end up talking about a relative?" she fiddled with her brownie a bit before taking another bite.
"You see.." she swallowed and frowned. "My mom is like a legend it seems, it is very much disturbing me and making me feel uncomfortable at times." Rose was smart but was she smart like her mother? no.
Did he get overwhelmed? Sure. Even though he barely knew about his birth parents Hogwarts years, he knew their names and some adults knew his parents personally. Sometimes he wanted to ask the headmistress or even some of the professors about his parents but he didn't want to bring up pain. Not for himself, and not for others. All he knew was that they were loved, and respected among their peers. And that's something that David was proud of these days. He was proud of being a Burke at birth but he was also proud of the Jones family. They had helped him through the aftermath of his parents murders.
"I do yes. But have they brought up my parents? Probably once in a blue moon." he admitted as he picked at a brownie on the plate before him. He made a face for a moment as he thought over on how to get to know his parents.
He snapped out of it for a moment and chuckled. "It's fine."

"My mother is practically famous for being the biggest brainiac in this world and my dad the complete opposite so the expectations are annoying." she sighed a bit and ate from her brownie as she looked at David. She knew he lost his parents but she never really thought about losing her own.
Her own parents are there but they also are very popular for what they did in the war. They helped the infamous Harry Potter, they are his best friends and look at them now.
"Fine? Tell me more?" She asked and smiled a bit, she wanted to know.
David wasn't one to complain about his education, knowing damn well he was pretty good at any subject someone throws at him. He had good grades in the past, and for those who knew his parents had told him that he was just like them. Hard at work, not worrying about anything else. Well, there's once thing he had lacked that his parents didn't, the whole dating and being a teenager deal. He wasn't interested in it for some reason, and never saw the point. Who would waste their time doing the dirty in the castle when there's more important things they could be doing?
"I mean there's nothing really to say. The term is going well as always. My grades are hanging in there. I can't complain." he told Rose before he shoved a whole brownie into his mouth. He was enjoying the small things, like brownies and writing. That's all he cared about.

Rose knew David was a smarty pants. His books were something she hoped to read one day. She was sure he would do great and until then she'd support him. Rose often saw him hang out with his sister, she loved how close they were and she wished she was closer with her brother. The redhead cocked her head to the side a bit as David seemed to not want to talk about school.
"Alright, I heard defense against the dark arts was tough for the students in third, fourth and fifth years. How is Ollie holding up?" There were even students running out of the classroom about it. It was not good to see people run crying and upset or even sick.
"What was it about? Monsters?" she asked and shrugged.
David was always concerned for his siblings, and their classes and grades. He'd often find himself wanting to help them with their homework because that's what he did best. He loved them, and he wanted them to succeed in life - he wanted to see them smile. Ollie was one that he worried about the most ever since she mentioned Defense Against The Dark Arts and had asked him all how to deal with a Boggart. Even if he never really shared his own, some people would know it if they knew how his parents had died. He barely talked about his past because he worked so hard blocking it out.
"She's doing okay I guess. It was Boggart and she was pretty shaken up but she's champ." he said as he grabbed his glass which milk had appeared in once more. Thank you, House Elves. "Book is going great. I just finished writing another chapter earlier."

Rose was always curious about David's books. He was a good guy and she adored him a lot. She wished she could do something to help but she was not that creative of a writer. The redhead ran a hand through her hair and frowned for a moment as he spoke.
"That sounds horrible, poor girl. I am glad she's okay though." she said and was not looking forward to her boggart class. She was terrified of so many things!
David didn't have many friends, but when he did; he'd share some details of the book he was writing. Even though he wasn't one to give the drafts to his friends, the only person that had read some of it was Ollie because she was proof reading the novels for him. The male might be a neat freak but even he makes spelling mistakes in his own things. He wasn't perfect after all, everyone had flaws. If it wasn't for his sister, he'd be lost and probably wouldn't be talking to people right now. She had helped him through the death of his parents, helped him start speaking again.
"It's actually a crime thriller. Main character is a female. You just gotta wait and see until it's done. I'm not spoiling it for you." he said, wanting more brownies. Why were they so good? It should be a crime.

"I will totally read it when it's done, don't worry about that David." she said with a smirk and ate from a brownie. They seemed to make the world a better place, the chocolate just making her tummy feel so good. The redhead grinned a bit and ran a hand through her thick ginger locks as she chewed on her brownie.
"I love these, what do you think makes them so great?" she asked him softly.
David hummed as he chewed on the brownie and looked down at the plate of them. He had no idea what they put in these, but he was going to eat as many as he can without getting a stomach ache. He grabbed another, eyeing the redhead for a moment before grinning as he stuffed another in his mouth. "No idea..." he said with his mouthful and he grabbed the glass of milk, taking a sip.
"I need more." he said and more appeared on the plate. "I'm going to get fat if I don't stop. Send help."
