With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Celeste knew she had a breaking point, she knew she had been nearing that breaking point in the months that Peter had not been found, slowly moving closer to that point ever so steadily. Keeping up a strong face for her family and hoping, hoping that he was alive as she missed him. She had missed him dearly and so far she hadn’t really been able to get a good read on how he was and how the rest of her family was taking it. All she knew was that she was breaking apart at the seams.
Moving away from her common room she hurried through the corridors and floors of Hogwarts with as much grace and poise as she could manage, keeping up the Tyrell image. Finally settling in around the second floor in a classroom that was at that moment not in use and lit the fireplace. Closing the door she transfigured a desk and chair into a rug and blanket. Making sure no one was around before finally letting go and crying her heart out. Only forgetting she didn’t have a silencing charm up.

Kitty was in a hurry, but she had to admit that she didn't know why or even where to. It was a difficult balance to strike; sometimes she liked to hurry because then she could get to places (wherever they turned out to be) more quickly, whereas at other times, she preferred to take her time and just enjoy being in the castle. Chat to some of the portraits, admire a few tapestries... Hogwarts was a beautiful place, after all, and she was so lucky to be here! It would just be a waste if she never even thought about that fact.
Quickly as she was walking, though, she couldn't help but to pick up the sound of sobbing emanating from a closed classroom door, and the blonde paused, frowning slightly. Well, that couldn't be allowed... Feeling vaguely guilty about eavesdropping, she waited until she was sure that whoever was crying was on their own, that she wasn't bursting in on some intimate scene, before quietly opening the door and stepping in, making sure to close it behind her and do what the other girl she now saw before her evidently hadn't done- put up a silencing charm.
"What's the matter?" she asked softly, sinking down on the floor beside the brunette.
Being deep into her own emotions, losing sight of herself and not in a good way Celeste really didn’t notice anything, or anyone for that matter. She hadn’t even heard the door open and someone enter the classroom she was using/abusing depending on who you asked. If you asked some of the less socially inclined or her housemates they’d be likely to say abusing. The fact was that she didn’t care anymore. What she did care about was the family name and how she was perceived by her peers. With the combination of those two things she froze up and tried to get away from the person who sunk down to her level, asking what was the matter.
Trying to school her features in the aristocratic way she had been taught, a haughty (or so she hoped) voice and an attitude to match. ’’That is not of your business miss Dennison and if it was, it is family business.’’ She had recognized the voice and really didn’t have any problems with Kitty, but social lessons and conditioning went a long way. Even though she liked the blonde normally to get homework done, or work together in the classes. She just didn’t want anyone to see her this way, not Vi, not Clarissa, not even her siblings. Whispering mostly to herself, unaware of the low volume she spoke in, still being clear to hear after all the lessons in articulation and speaking. ’’It’s just too much, that’s all.’’

Kitty frowned, curling her legs around beneath her and contemplating the other girl for a moment. She knew Celeste reasonably well, though not nearly so well as she knew many of her other classmates, and she didn't think that this sort of thing was entirely in character for the Ravenclaw. People did things that were strange, of course, on an almost daily basis; it was more or less the definition of people. But there was so much going on in everyone's lives that the blonde really didn't know where to start. Relationships, that was always the best bet; though the lioness was the furthest possible thing from cynical, she did at least recognise that young love, when treated without due respect, could cause all kinds of havoc. But then, at the moment, it was equally likely to be family trouble. At the end of the day, she hadn't the faintest idea.
"It's my business if you're upset," she insisted, as gently as she could manage. "It's everyone's business to make you feel better. Please, Celeste... What is it? I might be able to help." She damn well would, the blonde vowed; she hated to see anyone suffering in any way, regardless of how well she knew them, and someone like Celeste, who had never until now been unpleasant to her, was top of the list. "Is it a secret? I can keep secrets. I'm really good at it."
Grumbling how it really wasn’t her business if she was upset, or how it was anyone’s business if she was upset or not. The thing that got to her was the fact that Kitty had literally brought herself to her level by having folded her legs under her and was still being kind to her at the same time. So far the ones that had done so were her siblings and Viola. Clarissa she didn’t know well enough yet to say that she would do the same and therefore reserved judgment on that. What she did know was that a lot counted on her being Tyrell and acting like one. In a similarly small voice she tried to reply, with the tears still streaming down her face and her body not responding as she hoped.’’I doubt you can Kitty, it’s just too much.’’
Wrapping her arms around her legs, rocking forward and back ever so slightly trying to get herself under control when Kitty asked if it was a secret or not. ’’Well it’s not exactly a secret that my brother has been gone for a long time, he has been found recently and I have tried to be the one that kept the spirit alive, that along with school work, lots of hormones and who knows what else finally became too much if I am honest.’’ She mumbled into the space between her knees and chest, refusing to meet Kitty’s blue eyes, expecting to see a disapproving face.

Kitty shook her head slightly, refusing to believe it. She had come thus far through life without ever admitting defeat in anything; her optimism and enthusiasm for just about everything knew no bounds whatsoever, and so she was absolutely and totally confident that she was completely capable of making Celeste feel better; she just needed to put her mind to it, do her best to convince Celeste of that as well, and then that would be it! All better. Maybe. Sliding closer to the Ravenclaw girl, she hugged her gently, trying to still her restless rocking movements. It upset her to see people unhappy, and if she didn't manage to cheer Celeste up soon then they'd both be crying, which would not be cool.
"Just breathe..." she murmured softly. "Everything's going to be OK, I promise; you're going to be fine." Tomorrow was always brighter than today, that was Kitty's motto, because you couldn't see it yet, and so it must naturally be full of all kinds of exciting potential. She did not think that this was a point of view which Celeste would be well positioned to share at this moment in time, but perhaps a little later on, it might come in useful. "Here..." Glancing around the room, she pulled back for a moment, tugged her wand out of her pocket and frowned briefly in concentration, painstakingly Transfiguring a sheet of parchment into a handkerchief. "Look at me."
