With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Is it summer yet? I miss you and honestly can't wait until you graduated! How are your exams going? Anything you need help with? I could send some extra books if you need any.
God, I wish it was summer already. I miss waking up to your beautiful face. It was the highlight of my year. The exams are going well. I think I will pass them or barely pass them.
Bella's doing good. She misses you though. The little baby loves to follow me around the castle. I'm afraid someone might try to kidnap her.
I know, I mean it's getting warmer but the store is mostly being used by me. I read so many books because I had no clue what else to do with the silence.
Oh you named her! Bella is such a lovely name! I ran into your sister's boyfriend by the way. He seems lovely and was very kind to me. Don't let her get kidnapped! Silly kittens.
Tell me more about your classes? Anything exciting happening?
Well, besides the classes and shit, I've been dealing with your favorite thing ever. Teen drama. Apparently my dorm mate who shall not be named is being such a dick to Ariella that he got tossed out of the classroom. I've been told he will not pass potions because he disrespects and talks shit toward others. I'm surprised he's not kicked out yet, to be honest.
Maybe it's because his famous dad offed himself or something.
I mean I would if I had a son that disgraces the family.
Sorry, that sounded horrible but it's true.
I'm trying not to stress about the situation though. Ariella can handle herself and I don't think he's stupid enough to try to murder me in my sleep.
Oh gosh, teen drama. Sometimes I wonder whether or not this whole reality isn't even real. So much drama and so less people. I am surprised you didn't get into a fight with him but I'm happy that you didn't either. How is your sister doing with this? Did she deal well with it?
Oh wow his dad killed himself? No wonder he is acting out.
Don't say things like that. In the end we're all human, we make mistakes. If this is his typical behavior it says more about the way he was raised rather than himself. I am sure he will come around.
I understand that you're stressed but in a few months you won't be there and it won't matter. I doubt he would kill you though, unless he is a raging psychopath? Just be careful!
