With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

I don't know if or when this will get to you. But when you do get this, do give me updates about what's happening out there. I've been hearing things and I'm just scared for your safety and Artie's. Since I hadn't heard from you in a while, I need to be reassured that you didn't get yourself into some type of trouble.
My nightmares keep coming back and they're getting worse every time. I almost punched one of my roommates cause they were trying to wake me. I'm scared that I'm going to end up hurting someone. And I don't want to worry Ryker about all of this.

Hey sis relax. We're totally fine. There are some scary things happening out there but not where I am. As long as you stay safe at school with Skylar you will be fine too.
I can see if I can get my hands on something for the nightmares but trips to the outside world.. trips to any store or shopping place have become rare.

Thank goodness you're okay. I don't think I can deal being away from you and the others for long. I know I promised to stay in school but right now I wanna give up.
I can ask Professor Tyrell if she knows anything that can help with the nightmares.
I keep seeing our parents dying. Over and over. Then I see you and Artie getting killed because of me.
I'm going stir crazy and I have no idea how much longer I can handle it. Do I not sleep?

Yes do ask for something for the nightmares, you shouldn't have to suffer. I promise you we're fine. There is nothing going on here much, Artie is getting slightly bigger but that's.. understandable.
Try drinking something hot for comfort, it used to help you sleep when you were little.

How is Artemis doing with her pregnancy? No problems I hope. I'm actually looking forward to meeting my niece or nephew this summer. This baby is going to end up being the highlight of my life. Trust me, my engagement with Ryker is in second place compared to the little Reid growing inside Artemis' womb. I do home the child has the famous Reid hair and maybe that scowl you always have on your face.
And I've been caught nodding off by Ryker today and she forced me to nap in her lap again during our study session. I don't know how the hell I got lucky with this one.
Give Artemis a kiss on the cheek for me. Hope she isn't giving you too much trouble with the hormones.
