With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Edmund hated to admit that he missed his siblings together. The three of them against the world was getting quite more like Edmund against the world. It didn't help that his twin brother was never near unless they were in classes and when he wasn't busy running after the ladies. Edmund himself though he valued intellect above all else, he was still kind of sad that their lives had been growing them apart. What if at some point neither Vi or Ezra wanted to spend time with him any longer? Did they have to swear a pact to make sure that doesn't happen?
Edmund had written them both a note to meet him in the kitchens. Sure they might not take him up on it but Edmund had been an hour early and just sat on a stool, waiting. The smell of food had gotten him a little nauseous but he didn't expect much else from a full time working kitchen. The boy was fiddling with the sleeves of his shirt and though he invited his siblings he surely hoped no one else would pop in to say hello. He'd kindly ask them to leave just as fast.
As the clock ticked time by the time he had written down approached even more. "Well guess we wait and see."

When Vi had received the itty bitty note with a date, time and signature scribbled on it, she had been elated because it had been far too long since she saw her two favourite little twin brothers. But unfortunately... that's just how the cookie crumbled when Vi was two years older than them and they were in separate classes. Maybe next year when she in fifth year and they were in third... they'd get to see each other more often and Vi would totally get to embarrass them in class by smooching the heck out of their cheeks when she walked into the room.
As the portrait leading into the kitchens swung open, Vi leaped into the room with her fingers spread, doing her very own version of spirit fingers. "Eddie, Eddie, Edmund!" she sung out, as she spied her brother sitting on a stool. "Stop nervously tugging your sleeves - and yes, I know that's what you're doing because I have eyes - you'll rip them, you silly thing." With that, Vi bounded over to her brother, planting a bright red kiss on his cheek before flopping onto the stool beside him. "How's things?"

To be honest, Ezra couldn’t remember the last time he had spent time with both Edmund and Vi at the same time. Their lives had changed the moment summer was over and school took over. Okay, so he’d seen them both in the Great Hall and his own brother in their classes. He would usually claim the seat next to his dear brother before anyone else could because he needed his brothers brains. And to make sure Edmund didn’t blow shit up in potions class. So, when Ezra got the note of the time and such to meet up with both his siblings - he smiled. He abandoned his latest scheme as the time drew near and decided to go meet up with them.
The boy headed toward the kitchens, his stomach grumbling at the thought that he was going to be near food. God, now he was hungry. Why did Edmund decide to meet up in the damn kitchens? Why not the lawns or the greenhouses? The Gryffindor rolled his eyes as he entered the kitchen about two minutes after his sister arrived. ”Hey, you two! What’s cooking?” he asked, moving to sit on the stool on the other side of his sister.
Edmund was beyond nervous and his sleeves showed it. Tugging at his sleeves was one of his least attractive traits but nonetheless he did it anyway. The young boy waited for his siblings and his eyes shot towards the doorway faster than maybe humanly possible and was happily surprised to see his sister first. He was glad she found the note and gave her a small smile. Viola was.. weird. She was moving her fingers like they were tentacles and it didn't stop Edmund from making a face when she smooched his cheek. Great! more red stuff he needs to get rid off from his face.
"Hello Viola." He returned the greeting while rubbing his face with his sleeve. "You must have seen it wrong, I do not tug my sleeves. I simply adjust them neatly." Sure he was lying but it wasn't like Edmund to admit to a mistake or a fault of his when he can simply make up good excuse and deny their existence till hell freezes over. Edmund arched his brow at her question and though she phrased it wrongly, he wasn't going to correct her for once.
"Things are well, I have good grades unlike Ezra." he just finished his sentence when his brother walked in with all his glory. "Hello Ezra." Edmund turned to look at the stoves and the ovens. "I asked the elves to make us something so we can have food and spend time together. Just the three of us." Edmund explained and turned on his stool a bit. "How are you both?"

The arrival of Ezra only had Vi brightening even more and instantly, she was reaching over to ruffle her other brother's hair before scooting forward on the stool to plant a kiss on the side of his cheek too. By golly, she just adored her family - she always had, she always would, and there was no changing her mind... even if they killed someone, although Vi would be awfully disappointed if they did. "Ezzy, Ezzy, Ezra!" she sung out, similar the tone she had used to say Edmund's nickname. "Hmmm, that's a fab question. Edmund, you fantastic pre-planner you, what's cooking? Something special? I don't believe you just told them to make something."
"Ez, did you know that Ed was tugging his itty bitty sleeves before? It's not called just adjusting when you do it over and over. I think he's got a case of the ittery jitteries," she declared brightly, nudging Ezra's knee with her own as she teased Edmund good-naturedly. But then Ezra was saying how he had good grades unlike Ezra, and Vi's eyes rolled playfully. She didn't care too much about grades, given she was doing fairly... poor herself in class. "You know, when we die, grades won't matter. How we loved and lived and treated others will be what we're remembered for."
Shrugging at Edmund's question, Vi said chirpily, "I'm the bees knees, little brother. How are you? Ez, you need to answer that question too."
