With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Sunlight was shining brightly on this white haired boy as he was seated at the edge of the lake with bread crumbs. His light blue eyes on the water as he threw some crumbs in there to feed the creatures below. He wondered if anyone else did the same, feed the water creatures down below. The creatures he saw swim past his window sometimes. They looked kind of scary but Scorpius thought it might just be because they were so alone down there, no humans to talk to or care for them much.
Does the caretaker take care of these animals? Scorpius made a mental note to ask about it as he threw more crumbs into the water. He couldn't even see whether or not they'd get eaten. Scorpius closed the bag of crumbs and was about to get up when he spotted Mia near him. He stayed put and just waved, trying to see if she could spot him. "Hey Mia over here!" he waved at the Ravenclaw girl with a smile. He liked her, she was sweet and one of his few friends. "Do you want to feed the sea animals with me?" he asked her with a smile, offering her the breadcrumbs. "I am sure they like bread.. who doesn't?"
Mia liked the outdoors, enjoyed walking around the grounds and minding her own business. She was avoiding her family because sometimes they bore her to death and she wanted to spend some time by herself. The Ravenclaw was dressed in old ripped jeans and a light hoodie because the weather was starting to get nice and there was no point in wearing a sweatshirt in this weather. God, she missed the snow and playing in it when she was home. She’d take her dog out and run around, slipping and laughing. But now she was at a school and she couldn’t play in snow unless it was after class. And this past winter, she didn’t have much time and wasn’t in much of a mood.
Her thoughts were interrupted at the sound of a boy calling her name and saw him wave at her. The girl couldn't help but smile because he was her only friend here. People found her weird and didn’t want to hang out with her. Whatever, their loss.
The girl moved forward, raising an eyebrow at him and chuckled. ”It’s not the ocean there's no sea animals…” she said and shrugged. ”Feeding the merpeople?” she asked and eyed him. ”It depends on the bread.”
