With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

It was one of those days where Gem felt like baking all day. She had been spending time in the kitchen maybe way too much but she was trying her best to make cookies though somehow they always seemed to disappear.. maybe she did something wrong?
"Oh oh whoever is here, are these any good?" she asked and took a new batch out of the oven. Sadly they all disappeared from her plate and all there was left were crumbs.
"Are you guys eating these?" she then heard footsteps nearby and the girl smiled. "Hello!"
Frankie had been in a little bit of a bad head space due to losing her brother, and had gone from the castle with permission to attend the funeral her adopted parents had helped her plan. Losing someone close was something Frankie never thought she'd feel again and now she was slowly getting back to her feet, finding herself again. A part of her wanted to kill those Detectives who refused to listen to her, and another part of her just needed to let go. She knew that being at Hogwarts was the last place people would expect her to be, but she needed time alone. Time to adjust to being truly alone once more.
Frankie had wandered to the kitchen as she wrapped herself in one of her brother's hoodies, and she was thankful it wasn't actual class hours. It was peaceful around the castle, and she liked that a lot. But she wasn't expecting to find someone else there, and she stopped when she was greeted, giving the other girl a weak smile.
"Hey." she greeted as she moved in, frowning a bit.

"Hey! wait.. I already said that." Gemini was completely lost in her own little universe as she tried to figure out where her cookies went. She was going to bake more, she just had to. The brunette sighed a bit and ran a hand through her hair before grabbing flour.
"I am making cookies but somehow they disappear." there was a pout but the girl saw that the other seemed to need some cheering up. "Do you want anything! I can make things! Though the elves can too which is maybe way faster than me making things.." she rambled.
Gemini just smiled and held her hand out. "I'm Gem."

Frankie looked at her as if she had four heads but then smiled a bit more when the girl explained that the cookies were disappearing on her. Maybe this was the distraction Frankie needed, making a friend in the kitchens and baking things. Sure, it would bring up bad memories for her but sometimes she had to deal with it and live in the moment. Her life had changed, but it didn't have to change for the worse. She had her friends. she had her adopted family. People were there for her whenever she needed them to be, and she was thankful.
Frankie moved to shake her newfound friend's hand and chuckled softly. "Name's Frankie and sure I can use some cookies. Maybe I can help?" she offered, looking at the things they needed.
Gem loved baking, honestly it was one of the few things that was really something she liked. The brunette looked at the other girl who came into the kitchen, her smile never leaving her face because Gemini loved people and this was fun! Gem shook the other girl's hand and nodded when she introduced herself and asked if she could use a hand. Well baking together was more fun wasn't it?! Gemini jumped up and down and squealed.
"I'd love that Frankie!" she said and looked around for the things they need. "I love your name, it's not girly and obvious like mine! My name is not as cool as yours." Gem wanted to be tough like girls like Frankie, she seemed tough and badass. Maybe with more badass friends she'll become badass too!
Frankie can remember the many times she had helped her mother bake in the kitchen, and the mess she used to make with the woman. She can remember the laughter, remember the feeling of happiness and the men of the house judging them from the living room. They were a happy family, and had so many inside jokes that no one else knew. When her parents were taken from her, her world had fallen apart and there was no more baking. Not even with her adopted family. Sure, they were sweet and kind but it wasn't the same. The thought of baking without them made her a little sad but she had a smile on her face. Nothing is gonna stop her now.
"Francesca." she answered as she looked for the stuff they needed for cookies. Oh, she hoped the house elves wouldn't interfere with this. She needed it after what she's dealt with in life. "I prefer to be called Frankie. The only person who got to call me by my whole name....was my brother."
Gem actually liked this girl. She was nice and she seemed to enjoy baking as well. Gem grabbed some stuff to make new cookies and eyed Frankie who introduced herself. She had a beautiful name and though she thought it was nice and old fashioned, the short version was so much more fun. Gem liked it, it was badass and Frankie looked very badass.
"That's an amazing name." she said and nodded as she grabbed the chocolate chips.
Frankie had a frown on her face when she thought over the time she'd bake with her brother, or even with her mother. It was something that was relaxing, and fun at the same time. She can remember the times her brother and her would try to surprise their parents and end up making a mess of the kitchen, and hearing the laughter of her mother from the living room. There were great times and Frankie had found herself smiling a bit as she thought of it before she snapped out of her little trance when Gem spoke. This girl was someone she could like.
"Gem is pretty cool though." she said and eyed the chocolate chips before she reached for the flour. "I used to bake a lot when I was younger. I don't do it much anymore."
