With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
There was a few hours to spare before it was dinner time, and Shay was not in the mood to interact with other people. Lately she had been hiding away, trying to find her muse in making comics for her brother and she was about to force more things out. The Slytherin had found herself in her dorm room, chewing on one of her liquorice wands her grandparents had sent in the care package they had sent her and her brothers and staring at a piece of art she had done several months earlier, before Lizzie passed away. The female had made an art piece of a possible tattoo design, something the two girls had planned as a graduation present for each other and now...it wasn’t going to happen. Maybe she’ll redesign something and ask Mavican if she wanted it.
Shay’s fingers had traced along the art work, causing her to smile softly as she remembered the very day she thought of her deceased girlfriend’s laugh of joy when she saw the design Shay did. The laugh that gave Shay a reason to wake up in the morning in the past. The laugh that haunted her dreams at night in recent months. God, she missed her.
Shay’s thoughts were interrupted when the door of her dorm room opened and she almost dropped the liquorice that was in her mouth. Her hand quickly catching it, starting to chew on it again. ”Hey…” she said softly before closing the sketchbook. No need to look pitiful in front of her friend.

Scarlett was a couple of months along by now and she knew her boyfriend had been anxious about her giving birth during her exams like the cute idiot he is. She would never do such a thing and the thought of him being concerned how matter cute it was, was also worrying her. Scarlett was doing fine hiding her big ass belly with the spells she used but goddamn she would wake up needing to pee a million times and steal people's chocolate because of all the cravings she had.
There was so much self control a girl could have and the smell of bacon was enough to make Scarlett close to losing it. The brunette almost fled from class because the spell was wearing off and managed to make it to her dorms before anyone saw her. She barely closed the door behind her before applying the spell again, her eyes closing and her lips letting out a sigh. Scarlett walked up the stars to the room where her bed was and arched her brow when a hey came from a bed near her own. The last thing she needed was to be social with people and Nadya wasn't here.
"Hello." she replied and headed for her own bed, grabbing a bunch of blankets and wrapping them around herself. "Have you seen Nadya?" she asked and eyed the girl on the other bed. She lacked style to say the least and Scarlett wasn't going to keep telling her to stop being a baby about what happened and to move the hell on. It was quite annoying to see someone pity themselves like they have nothing better to do than wallow in their own tears. Her hands reached for a bag in her nightstand and groaned, out of chocolate, great.

Shay knew she hadn’t been the best friend or roommate to the girls she had known for years recently. The female hadn’t been herself since she returned to school after the winter holiday - months of grieving. Part of her wanted to turn back around when she walked into the castle, but decided to move ahead and deal with her grieving while at school. Shay’s grandparents sent her packages every other week because they knew it was the only way to comfort the girl when she was away. Sometimes her kid brothers would come up behind her and give her a hug, making her whine at times. So, Shay wasn’t surprised at Scarlett for asking for their other roommate.
”Not since this morning, no.” she said softly as she moved a bit on her bed and put the sketchbook on her nightstand. She’ll deal with her art later and try to interact with Scarlett - even if a part of her wanted to walk away and hide. People told her to start talking to her friends again, to be herself again.
Shay looked at Scarlett for a moment as she chewed on her liquorice wand and noticed she reached for an empty bag. Her eyebrows raised for a moment and Shay eyed the sweets on the foot of her own bed. Maybe she can share a few candies with her. It wouldn’t hurt, right? The female sighed softly as she reached into the box of sweets and grabbed a few bars of chocolate and a couple of wands. ”Here.”

Scarlett had to hide her pregnancy like a girl with a big as fuck secret yet she had to also hide eating her meals by just eating her usual small portion and dine in the kitchens afterwards when no one's looking. The brunette loved Teddy and knew the child would bring joy to their lives in a way but no one ever mentioned what the torture that pregnancy is does to a girl. As far as her roommates knew, besides Nadya, she was just having cravings and she wanted to keep it that way.
With a frown the girl looked at Shay who had been wrapped up in her own little world which usually Scarlett would know all about but obviously she had her own things to worry about. Scarlett watched her put the sketchbook aside and figured now she was suddenly worth Shay's attention again. Scarlett didn't approve of the girl's outfits, her tattoos or her bad haircut but they spent seven years here together and in seven years you grew.. attached.. sort of. Scarlett still thought the girl was a mess and needed a serious makeover and Nadya was definitely her favorite.
"Ugh that bitch better not leave this hellhole without me." she grumbled and fell back on her bed, looking at the ceiling. When Shay said here, Scarlett turned her head and eyed the candy. "Thank you.. how did you know I was craving chocolate?" she asked and took the candy from Shay.
When Scarlett took the chocolate from Shay, the girl couldn’t help but give her a tiny smile and took a seat on her own bed as she looked at the girl she knew for years. They weren’t close, but Shay would consider her as one of the few friends she had there. Sure, there could be secrets kept from the other but shay wasn’t going to hold anything against Scarlett for wanting to keep her personal life on the downlow. The girl wasn’t close as Nadya and Scarlett were with each other, and she didn’t care if those talked about her behind her back. She highly doubt they’d sink that low.
”I doubt your soul sister would leave you behind at this place. I don’t think she’d want me to deal with your grumbling ass.” she said and chewed on her candy while she watched the girl. ”I know people might think I’m zoned out half the time whenever we’re in here, but I’m not. I’ve seen you reach into the bag more than anything else in the past couple of weeks. It’s not hard to miss that. I have put extra bars in there when you weren’t looking...and probably didn’t notice.” she said with a shrug.
Shay had no idea what was going on with her roommate and it wasn't any of her business at all.

Scarlett had known this girl for years sure but Nadya was her best friend and though she could deal with Shay, she wasn't close with her as she was with Nadya. The brunette unwrapped a bar of chocolate and broke off a piece before eating from it. She hated how her body was making her do all these things, eat all this food she really didn't want to eat. What was supposed to happen to her now? Was she going to get fat? she really didn't want to get fat, she worked hard on her body and the shape she is in.
"I sure hope she won't." she said and though she hated to admit it she was afraid that Nadya was going to quit school. She had every right to as fear had become the main feeling in these students. Everyone was afraid of judgment day, the day where every person with even an inch of creature blood would be arrested for what they are. Like a purge no one wanted to happen except the ministry and their stupid political decrees. Truthfully she had no idea what inspired this hatred so much but she was sick of it.
"Mmm I'm fine.." she lied and though she knew she could probably trust Shay enough, she also wasn't going to risk it. "Just can't wait to get out of here really. I am not meant for prison life."
Truth be told, Shay wasn’t expecting to get anything out of Scarlett - she knew the chances were low and even if it bothered her, Shay didn’t say so. There was a high chance she wasn’t going to see any of her classmates again once the year was over. The blonde had no major plans for her days after school was over, but she knew she was going to keep herself at a distance from the people she loved. The female didn’t want to hurt them, she didn’t want them to try and stop her from doing something stupid. So instead of trying to push Scarlett into talking to her, she just shrugged it off and got comfortable on her bed once more.
”I’m with you on that.” she said and looked at her nightstand. At the sketchbook where her tattoo designs were. ”My grandparents told me I didn’t have to come back, but I decided against it. I told them I needed to graduate and...now that I’m here, I don’t...see a reason in...finishing it.”
The female sighed and ran a hand through her blonde locks, shaking her head.
