With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Classes were done, prefect duties were never done. Sienna had learned to not abuse the power she had over the other students even though she believed she was better than everyone else, but some would say differently. Over the years of Sienna being an excellent student, she hadn’t made many friends with her dorm mates. Maybe it was because of her attitude toward them, or maybe they didn’t respect her enough to earn her respect. But ever since she had been made prefect, she was going to make them respect her. Was it asking for too much? Maybe. Sienna didn’t care, she just needed to get the next couple of years done and over with without incident.
When Sienna had come back from her shower, she had walked into the dorm just wearing wearing her bathrobe and her hair already dried due to her casting some spells. She wasn’t one to leave her clothes in the prefect restroom because she didn’t trust anyone with her items so she would often walk back to the Gryffindor tower in just her bathrobe.
Sienna had sighed as she got her evening robes ready for prefect rounds on her bed, changing into them quickly. Last thing she wanted was one of her perverted dorm mates to spot any of her skin that shouldn’t be shared until she was ready with her husband. The moment her robes were on, the dorm door opened and she spotted her least favorite roommate. ”Do you ever knock?” she snapped, not caring that they had shared this room for quite some time. ”I could have been a little exposed.”

"Because I live here, Sienna," Lyuba answered as she entered the room, frustration evident in her voice. All four of them--had been five, but it was four now--had equal rights to the dormitory, as far as she was concerned. She wasn't going to let Sienna take it over just because she was a pureblood who someone had given a shiny badge. Maybe it frustrated Lyuba a bit that she was too scattered for anyone to consider to be a prefect, but mostly only because the other girl had lorded it over the rest of them as if she'd been appointed queen instead of prefect. As if having Regi on the boys' side wasn't bad enough!
"Plus you've seen me without clothes on plenty of times." It was true; Lyuba had quickly gotten used to the fact that there would be only one room for five girls and they had to change clothes somehow. "So I don't really care. You can keep doing whatever you're doing, but I want my own bed." Normally, Lyuba was a cheerful person, ready to hug her friends without even a hint of a reason needed, and until she'd opened the door, she'd been practically bouncing up the stairs. But Sienna's attitude had quickly soured her own mood.
Fair point. Sienna never really liked Lyubov for reasons unknown, maybe it was because they never seen eye to eye. But then again, no one would see eye to eye with Sienna Nero. Maybe they were jealous because she was from money, and the others weren’t....like her. When Sienna first arrived at Hogwarts in her first year, she was eager to make friends with her dorm mates, but seeing how they were and how they weren’t like her, she frowned upon it. She hated that they were different, hated that she had to sleep in the same room with the girls that hated her. Whatever, she was going to try to survive the rest of her school year and the next two before moving on with her life.
”I’m dressed.” she stated when the girls cold attitude could be seen miles away. Did she care? Nope. ”You’re going to bed a little early, aren’t you?” she asked, not even bothering to look at her. The girl moved to stand in front of the tiny mirror she had on her nightstand to put up her hair.

Why did this school even have prefects, anyway? It wasn't Lyuba's fault that she wasn't all rich and smart. She just wasn't born in that kind of life. People who were like that were usually mean, anyway, she thought, considering her classmates--Reginald Jones came to mind there. Something about everyone telling them they were perfect all the time, she was sure. Prefect. Perfect. Bleh.
"I didn't say I was going to bed. I said I wanted to get in my bed," she said, flopping down on top of the red blanket. Classes were long and difficult and she was going to relax if she wanted to. Crossing her arms, she stared up at the ceiling above the bed's canopy, a small pout on her face. The next words came out of her mouth before she ever had a chance to think about them. "'Cause I know you only know of one thing to do in beds, since you're all prudish and stuff. But I'm a bit more creative. I'm just waiting for you to leave so I can send an owl to Mat about that." Lyuba let the implication hang in the air, hoping it would irritate the prissy prefect even if she hadn't been planning to do any such thing in their dorm, at least not right now.
Once Sienna was finished putting up her hair, she grabbed the prefect badge from the stand and pinned it on its rightful area on her chest. Her eyes stayed on the badge for several seconds before Lyubov’s voice rang through the dorm, causing her to turn around to look at the being on the bed. Her arms crossed over her chest as she listened to what her dear roommate was planning on doing when she was gone, causing the perfect to shake her head. ”Unlike you, I’m saving myself for marriage,” she said, her tone sounding annoyed. ”But what else do I expect from you,” she shook her head as she moved to grab her wand from the stand.
”Guess you’re just like your mama,” she went on and tucked her wand in her robes as she turned her back on her dorm mate. ”But hey, you only live once, right? Your father would be so proud of his daughter getting a possible STD.”

Not that. Anything but that.
Lyuba could let a lot of insults roll off of her, but bringing her mother into it? It was pretty obvious to everyone, she knew, that her mother didn't show up to pick her up from the Express or send her any owls or even appear in any pictures together with her. Because she'd been as good as nonexistent since just a couple weeks after Lyuba was born. Could be anywhere in the world, with no intention of ever returning to her family, could be, as Vera liked to point out, dead somewhere that they'd never find.
Which meant that Lyuba had spent quite a lot of time determined not to be her mother, and what Sienna was implying about her made her sit up again, eyes blazing. "Don't you dare," she said, twisting her hands in the blankets on the bed. "My parents were married. They were. You don't know anything." Typical Sienna, thinking that the whole image of the "innocent," "perfect" girl she put up made her better than anyone else. Lyuba knew better. Nobody could be happy like that, denying themselves everything fun in the world.
She could feel the anger bubbling up inside her, as if it was a physical force that was going to explode from her any second, and she didn't feel like she could do anything to stop it even if she wanted to. It was only when she'd raised her hand, sending a puff of fire toward the hem of Sienna's robes, that she blinked in alarm at her own actions, barely even remembering what had gotten her there. Oh, Merlin, she was going to get expelled for this for sure.
