With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Oswald wasn’t entirely impressed how the rest of the school year was going, but he was told that his sister wanted to see him for something important and of course he had grabbed the little wrapped up box that he had for his dear sister. Not everyday his sister would be turning twenty-three years of age and he had managed to get his sister a birthday present, something that might make her happy. Of course nothing would beat Donovan Stevens in the gift giving knowing that she was due to marry the man. Of course the owl was the only time he addressed her engagement, he hadn’t been able to bring up to her in person.
The box was tucked into his robes pocket as he headed to the classroom his sister was usually found in. There was a quick knock and he had entered the classroom, not noticing his kitten had followed him from the Slytherin common room to the classroom. The male had glanced around the classroom, looking for his sister and had heard something behind him. He quickly turned around to notice his kitten sitting on a stool nearby, looking at him. ”Bella!” of course he couldn’t be mad at her. He gave her a tiny smile, moving to scoop her up into his arms as he heard footsteps near the front of the classroom.
”You summoned me?” he asked, moving toward the professor's desk.

Ariella was working all day on getting these assignments prepared for the older students. They were supposed to graduate though she refused to let Wagtail even near her these days. She though had family business to attend which meant Ozzy's yearly gift of gold was sitting in a pouch on her desk. It was just a small amount of gold but enough to go through the year and have enough left for whatever he wanted to waste it on. Ariella could care less but she handed fortunes out all day except to the bastards, she kept their gold to herself.
Through all of this Ariella was completely forgetting the fact that today was her birthday. She never told anyone and the ones who knew were her own siblings, if they cared enough. There was a frown when Ozzy walked into the classroom and Ariella got up slowly with the papers in her hand. "Oswald." she responded, ignoring the little hairball in her classroom. She was teaching in a dungeon, the hairball was the least of her concerns. With a small sigh she grabbed the pouch. "From father." she told him and handed him the pouch before putting papers down on various desks.
"I see you found a pet." she said with a frown and eyed the kitten. "Cute name." she added and put the papers down on the tables. "How have you been?"
Oswald scratched the feline behind the ears when he was greeted by his sister, making him raise an eyebrow at her when she used his actual name and not his nickname. Not that he cared as she was the only one besides his girlfriend to call him that. The kitten in his arms mewed softly as she handed him the pouch and he took it proudly as he looked down at Bella who watched Ariella’s every move. The boy knew his sister would not harm the kitten because he’d break her wand in half if she even tried. ”Thank you.” he said, putting the pouch of coins into his pocket and smiled.
”Didn’t find her. She’s a gift from the girlfriend.” he said as the kitten moved to paw at the older women's robes. ”I’m doing good. For the most part, anyway.” he told her honestly with a sigh.

Ariella tried to show interest in the siblings she felt closest too, which weren't many of them. She wanted them to know she cared but every single thing she did in life made her toughen up rather than soften up. She didn't want to become soft, she was not raised to be soft or kind to people. Her father often seemed to disapprove of her methods, her way of handling things but she had lost just as much as he did and they both grieved and dealt with things in their own way. She didnt approve of his whore ways but she never once complained to him about it.
Unlike her father she kept her emotions in check and so she had become colder over time. Her chocolate colored eyes looked at her brother who seemed to have a glow about him even when he says he was miserable, she knew something big happened to him that he wasn't telling her. "Oh yes the girlfriend." she said and sat on her desk, her legs dangling a bit. "Tell me about her. You never mention her." she told him, not wanting to make him feel guilty but god he can open up a little.
"Who is being a dick this time? Is it that boy who's name matches the dog like personality?" she asked him and cocked her head. "His situation is handled you know, he won't pass potions." she said and shrugged.
There was a reason Oswald never talked about Chelsea to anyone, and that reason was because he didn’t want people to be nosy in his love life. It’s not that he didn’t trust his family to screw things up to him, but he didn’t trust their father and his motives for them all. The young male had seen and heard about what his father said about Parker’s boyfriend one time, causing Ozzy not to talk to the man about his love life. There was no need for Chelsea to be a target of his father's bullying. It was odd to hear Ariella’s interest in his life.
”I never mention her because I don’t trust anyone.Don’t need anyone try to reach out to her and tell her that I’m a dick and not worth it.” he admitted as he scratched the kitten behind her ear. He moved to sit on the desk across from hers, letting the kitten go play on the desk. He’ll clean up any mess she would make.
”And you know Parker, she’ll blab.” he chuckled a bit as he heard a tiny thud and looked behind him at the kitten who fell onto the stool. He shook his head with a sigh. ”She works at Flourish and Blotts.”
The male sighed a bit and rubbed his head as he thought about the words Wagtail had said to his sister a while back. It still made him angry. ”I’m glad to hear that. But he should have disrespected you.”

Ariella wasn't going to linger with the stuff that happened in her classes. When students decide that the class wasn't worthy, they can stay the hell out for the rest of their education purposes. Ariella would rather spend her time with the ones who did care about potions. The brunette wasn't going to fuel her brother's rage with his roommate, that was going to be something he had to deal with on his own. Soon they'd be graduated, at least Ozzy surely would be, and this was all going to be in the past.
As Ozzy mentioned his relationship, Ariella did see a point in what he meant. His fear though shouldn't be there and neither should hers be but unlike Ozzy, she didn't care. She knew how to confront her father with his judgments and knew very well that he knows she was right. There was no reason to judge her when he himself had the worst judgment when it came to partners. What if some of his ladies were spies? Ministry officials? Just because they were good looking didn't mean he should take these risks and then judge Ariella for her choice in partners.
"I won't pry in your relationship Ozzy." she assured her brother as she looked at him playing with the kitten. "She sounds lovely either way." she had no idea who this girl was and she surely wasn't going to force her brother to talk about this girl. "I know she'll blab but I think it is her way of being happy for you. After all we don't want you to end up like me do we?" she teased though there was a truth behind her words. She didn't want her brother as bitter as she is. "Just leave it be Ozzy, he won't be able to do a damn thing." she said and shrugged.
