With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Ah, an evening where Isobel could just chill. Everyone was gone, for once, leaving her alone to draw without anyone bothering her as to what was on the page. Not that she had problems with her roommates, really, except when Kaylie got really drunk or when Morgan woke them all up with nightmares or when she had to watch her words even around her friend Vinda... fine, she had a few problems, but only sometimes. As long as they all managed to go to sleep each night without any murder, she counted that as good enough. It wasn't like she had a perfect friendship with her sisters, either.
She was working from a photograph this time, a snapshot from the summer she'd spent with her grandparents a few years ago, showing a scene of Hyde Park. Most of the time, she spent so much time drawing people that she wanted to work on a landscape for once, although the image did have a few people walking by as the magical photo moved. She had placed them at the corner of her paper, though, carefully tracing out the branches and leaves of the trees instead.
But when she heard the door to the room open, she almost threw her pencil in frustration. Please let it at least be just Vinda, she thought...
Morgan Reid didn’t mean to make her roommates lives hell at times, but she couldn’t control her nightmares that she’s been having. She had gone through a few months without a single one until the attack at her family's cabin during the holidays. It took Apollo Fitzgerald’s uncontrollable anger to trigger everything all over again after she had a peaceful couple of months. The redhead having suffered a nightmare the night before had felt a pang of guilt all day that day and debated on not sleeping in the room with the other girls so they didn’t have to suffer with her any longer. There were times a few months ago that she had found herself on the couch in the common room snoozing.
The guilt had remained there when Morgan walked into the dorm room, spotting Isobel on her bed with what she assumed was her art. The girl had froze in the doorway for a moment, her eyes on her dorm mate for a few seconds. ”Don’t stop on my account. I’m not here to interrupt your mojo..” she said softly, moving toward her bed and her trunk to pull out some pj’s. The female knew what art meant to people. Morgan herself, was an artist.

Whatever the hell was wrong with other people was none of Kaylie's business. Kaylie had taken a nap in class but god she was tired in general.. maybe she needed to get her hands on drinks again. She had a massive headache to drink away. The blonde let out a small sigh and just walked into the slytherin common room, ignoring people she bumped into. Her eyes felt heavy and maybe when she reached her bed she'd just pass out. Alana had been working on her studies so she was not quite ready for girlfriend time which was fine, Kaylie could find entertainment.
Kaylie let out a small sigh as she walked into the dorm and frowned when she eyed the two girls, both seemed like they were in a shit mood so this was fun. "Wow you two look like the dead just came back to tell you to join them downstairs." she told them both before planting herself on her bed and let out a sigh as she sat back. "what's up?" she asked not that she cared all that much really, she just didn't want to sit in uncomfortable silence. She'd rather hear insults and bitching.

If only Morgan had arrived, Isobel could have been fine. Could have kept drawing in relative silence, as long as Morgan didn't demand the lights out at this hour of the evening. That didn't seem too likely, so yes, she could have simply let the other redhead do her thing. But then Kaylie arrived. Isobel cast a yearning glance in the direction of Vinda's bed, wishing her friend was there as an ally. But no--she was stuck alone.
Tell us about the dead, Kaylie, she thought bitterly, still remembering the image of the blonde's girlfriend's fangs. Forgive her for being wary of sharing a room with someone who would probably turn into a vampire any day now. With the absence of Vinda, she turned her gaze on Morgan, sending a look that tried to convey seriously, why is she talking to us?
"We're all in the dungeon, Kaylie," Isobel said, keeping her voice level and pleasant. "And I think if anyone would know about the dead it would be you." Carefully, she closed the cover on her sketchbook, trying to ensure that the pencil marks wouldn't smudge too much from the page on top of the drawing. No need for her roommates to be judging her art today.
It had been a rough year for Morgan, but to her things are slowly looking up. Maybe it was because she no longer had a girlfriend, a fiancee to worry about. The moment Ryker had asked those words, Morgan’s life has been getting easier despite the nightmares keeping up or causing her to wake up her roommates. It was something she didn’t mean, and she wanted to find something to keep them from happening again. They all had one more year after this and Morgan wasn’t about to destroy another year of their lives. When Kaylie came into the dorm, Morgan raised an eyebrow at the blonde in question before glancing at Isobel for a quick moment then at Kaylie.
If they were going to argue, she’d break some necks because she was in no mood to deal with people’s bullshit that day. There was a tiny snort from Morgan when Isobel barked back at Kaylie about the dead, making the redhead look between them for a moment and tried to hide the amusement in her expression.
”That was good. But low.” she told Isobel as she turned to sit at the foot of her bed as she unbuttoned her blouse. She had no shame in showing some skin to these girls because they shared a dorm.
”But to make guys feel better, I’m going to the hospital wing tomorrow to see if I can get my hands on something that will put a stop to these…episodes I have at night.”

God these girls were so cocked up that it was a surprise they were even in Slytherin. Bunch of no good idiots if you asked Kaylie and yes she was friendly with Morgan but even Morgan gets on her nerves. Kaylie rolled her eyes as she reached for a bottle of scotch she managed to steal and took a swig from it before plopping down comfortably on her bed once more. Isobel's comment about her girlfriend made Kaylie let out a laugh colder than Isobel's heart must be. That was the most ridiculous comment and not one Kaylie hasn't heard before.
"Ouch, hit me right in the feels if I even cared about a single word coming out of your mouth Linwood." she returned with a scoff and drank some more. Kaylie had heard all the comments about her girlfriend, all the insults, the stupid jokes that could last a goddamn lifetime but never once was anyone original these days. Always go straight for the girlfriend card like that was supposed to make any bloody difference. Kaylie was getting sick and tired of people here and close to dropping the fuck out of this hellhole.
"Ah well at least the cobwebs are not found in my panties." she mumbled and turned to look at Morgan who was talking about medication. "Eh the screaming fits the dungeon mood doesn't it? Makes it more alive." she joked and sighed. "Good for you though."

Oh, Kaylie was drinking. It shouldn't surprise Isobel, but it didn't make her any more optimistic about getting any peace. In her mind, drinking was meant for parties, for fun, not for--whatever Kaylie's problem was. In truth, it made her uncomfortable, to be unable to predict what her roommate's behavior would be. She always hoped it would at least put the blonde to sleep, but right now, it seemed too early for that to happen.
Perhaps Morgan needed that liquor to help her sleep, she thought bitterly for a second, before reminding herself that it wasn't Morgan's fault that she had the nightmares. She knew what happened to the Reids, and no matter how much she clashed with her own family, she couldn't imagine what she would do if her parents had been killed. Maybe it was a good thing that they were staying out of politics, not leaving the farm all too much.
"You forget we all have to sleep in the dungeon. I know you get your sleep in class, but the rest of us do sleep in these beds," Isobel said. "You can go scream in Ravenclaw Tower for all I care, but I'm all for Morgan finally getting some rest." She gave a small smile in the other redhead's direction, hopefully a little offer of support. "As long as you let my boyfriend get his beauty rest."
