With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
She should never have listened to Archie. Going to that party was a big mistake, there was nothing she had done that was any amount of fun and her anxiety had gotten the best of her. Sure she could've run to her mother and cry in her arms but she didn't want her mother to know she went to a party where kids were kissing each other for fun. Sure she'd understand but Cassidy hated that she even said yes for going there in the first place.
Cassidy let out a small whine when she bumped into someone on her way to the dorm and hid her face from people as she got to her bed. This was a disaster. Cassidy never really thought about kissing people, she didn't care for love for so long and now she was just beyond terrified of it. The blonde sniffled as she changed into her pajamas and when she heard footsteps she just tried to ignore them, wiping her eyes quickly and cleared her throat.
She hated what happened and wished it was just a bad dream. Cassidy crawled into her bed with a sigh and buried her face in her pillow.
Casey had been busy studying with her girlfriend in Mavi’s dorm room, and needed to take a quick breather before they did anything else. It had been a fun couple of months, and she wanted it to slow down before the school year ended. Sure, she had planned on asking if Mavican wanted to go to her place for the summer, but knew the redhead probably had plans with her friends. It was going to be rough, but Casey can survive for a bit without having her girlfriend around, right? Maybe. She had no idea, and she was dreading that it was almost time for exams, and she needed to do actual studying.
Casey had made her way out of her girlfriend’s dorm, and headed down to the common room to go down to the kitchens. She needed a drink and a few snacks if she was going to survive spending time with her girlfriend. The seeker had stopped when someone had called her over to them, and she had been in a conversation when she had heard the doors open, and a panic looking Cassidy came inside. The female had watched as her friend disappear to the dorms, and she held up a hand. ”One minute David.” she said as she headed up to the dorms. Something was off, and she needed to figure out what was going on.
She headed straight for her dorm, opening the door and shutting it just to see her friend crawl into bed. ”Cassie?” she asked, unsure what had happened to her friend. ”Hey, talk to me. What happened?” she said as she moved to sit on her friends bed, her hand rubbing her arm. ”Did anything happen?”
This was a bad idea. She repeated that sentence over and over again as she thought about what happened at the party. Cassidy remembered walking out of it and once she was out of sight from others, she ran. She ran as fast as her legs would let her run. Cassidy's heart was throbbing in her throat when she arrived in her dorm and now she was in bed hiding from the misery and of course Casey was here, Casey noticed. Cassidy heard her voice, calling her by her nickname only Casey really used because she never else was called Cassie.
Cassidy lifted her head slowly, her eyes bloodshot from the tears and her cheeks flushed red. "Casey.. I'm sorry..I didn't mean to bother you.." she said softly knowing very well Casey was probably having plans with her girlfriend. Cassidy was happy for her, she didn't want Casey to worry about her all the time either. "I.. Archie he.." she sniffled. "He took me to this party because I didn't want to be alone and they played spin the bottle.." she said and rubbed her eyes as she sat up slowly.
"This girl Rowena, she went to kiss me but..." she sniffled. "Instead of a sweet kiss like the others did to me.. she dipped me and it was.. just.." Cassidy shook her head and buried her face. She felt so ashamed of herself and how weak she was about dealing with this. "I can't do something like that.."
Casey had heard that there was a party happening somewhere within the castle but decided not to go because she had plans with her girlfriend. Plans that didn’t involve other people. There was no need to give other students a public show, she didn’t feel like sharing her relationship with the student body. At least the other Ravenclaws were busy and not in the dorm with both her and Mavican - she was secretly thankful for parties like these. But seeing her friends bloodshot eyes made her want to kill the first person who dares to hurt her. Why were people dicks to Cassidy? Sometimes she wanted to curse the bullies.
When Cassidy explained what had happened to her, Casey moved to get more comfortable on the bed and offered her arms. ”I can talk to her.” she had offered and frowned a bit. She had no idea why this girl would do such a thing, but she was going to give Archie some talking too about taking Cassidy to this party.
There were so many things rushing through Cassidy's mind but most importantly she never, ever wanted romance in her life. She felt like it was just not meant for her. There was Casey, happy with her girlfriend and her friend Skye was super sweet but Cassidy truly didn't think romance was in her future or life for that matter. What would her mother say when she heard about this? would she laugh at her and pretend its nothing just to make her feel better? Because it surely won't make Cassidy feel better.
Cassidy looked at her friend through her eyes, foggy from the tears. Cassidy snuggled up to her and sniffled, her eyes closing again. "N-No you don't have to. I just wish I never went to the stupid party." she said and wiped her eyes for a minute, the burning sensation making them itch. "Does romance make you happy? I-I don't think it's something for me." she said and shook her head. "I mean being kissed.. like that.. I don't think I want that.. ever." she said and cuddled her best friend.

Next person to look at Cassidy like she was a piece of meat, Casey was going to have a long unfriendly chat with. Even if Casey hadn’t really gotten herself into fist fights unless she was provoked, she would do anything to make her best friend feel better. They grew up at this castle together, leaned on each other when the other needed it and would never stay mad at. They were like sisters, and she heard Professor Mason talk about their closeness to Casey’s own mother whenever the mom’s got together for a cup of tea.
Casey just kept her arms around her best friend, getting more comfortable on the bed as she listened to her and she raised an eyebrow. ”It does. Being with someone makes me happy. But it’s not all romance. I can’t take the girl out because we’re banned from going to Hogsmeade. So our dates aren’t….exactly dates. If it’s not something for you, it’s not stupid. If I were you I would just ignore her with all my might. Pretend she doesn’t exist.” she said softly and kissed her friend’s head. At least Mavican didn’t mind Casey cuddling with her friend.
The fear of feeling someone's lips on her own, the way she felt them that time was horrible. She didn't know why people even wanted this in their lives. The blonde was glad she had Casey whenever she needed her. She needed someone who wouldn't judge, who was close to her like a sister. Cassidy never had the chance to get siblings because of what happened to her dad but Casey was the sister she needed in this life. She was the sister she could never have. Cassidy loved the friendship between their mothers and because of that their own was that much closer.
"But you can take her out in the summer right?" she asked her friend. She was happy for Casey because she seemed in such a good place because of Mavican, something not many people would expect. Cassidy heard about the girl's reputation and she was quite sure the redhead flirted with her at least once, making Cassidy blush and run off. Sure there were better ways to talk to people and maybe now she was with Casey, she could be friends with the older girl too.
"I'm glad you're happy." she added and gave Casey a smile. "I don't even dare to talk to her, it's just so messy. I made a fool out of myself and I am even afraid of going to classes now."
Casey never really discussed her summer plans with her girlfriend because she wasn’t expecting to have a girlfriend. It had taken Casey a long time to even come out to her friends and family. She wasn’t expecting to date the girl she crushed on for so long - she wasn’t expecting it to last as long as it did. It confused Casey sometimes seeing Mavican hanging out with other people, seeing her girlfriend smile and bump someone’s shoulders. The thought of her girlfriend with someone else made Casey a little uneasy. Yes, she loved her and told her after they won their game against Gryffindor. It was a special moment for Casey, but did Mavican really feel the same for her?
”I could but we haven’t really had...that talk.” she said with a slight frown and kept her arms around her best friend. She didn’t want to let her best friend go, she didn’t want this girl to suffer. ”Well, I can sit next to you in the classes we share. I got your back, Cass. Always. I promise. I won’t let her come near you. Okay?”
