With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

It seems that Jonah’s family could not catch a break, and he hated that it fell on him to watch out for his sister at school after receiving the most painful news of their life. His shoulders were slumped when he had left his common room, and his eyes trained ahead. He didn’t want this to be true, but it was and he wanted to scream. Instead, he had kept his eyes ahead as he had made his way to the great hall to talk to his sister about this sore subject. Sure, she didn’t have the best relationship with their father but Jonah was still concerned for her mental health. He wanted to make sure she didn’t do anything stupid cause he knew she had problems these days.
When his bloodshot eyes searched the Ravenclaw table for his sister, he was left disappointed and noticed her spot next to Mavican was empty. Maybe she knew where her girlfriend was at this time, and he would try to find his sister through her. So he gave a glance at the Hufflepuff table for a quick moment before heading toward the Ravenclaw table, he had taken a seat next to Mavican and looked at her with a frown. ”Have you seen my sister this morning?” he asked softly as he looked around.

Sometimes a girl was just minding her own business. Mavican had been working out in the morning before breakfast and she had kissed Casey good morning but then they went to do their own thing after a long and really tasty good morning. The redhead was actually in a good mood but then her space was interrupted by Casey's brother. They made a deal that neither of them will ever mention the one night stand they had because Mavican didn't want Casey to hate her.
She didn't want Casey to see her the way others did.. like a slut. "Good morning to you too." she said softly and took a sip of her tea before handing him a sandwich. "I have, last time I checked she was smiling." she said with a small grin though the guy seemed to be in a bad mood.
"Why? What is the problem?" she asked and frowned. "You are not going to try the you're not good enough for my sister chat do you?"

Jonah had let out a tiny sigh when she mentioned last time she saw her Casey was smiling, and he took that as good news. Somewhat. He needed to know where his baby sister was at before she did something stupid due to the news of their father getting killed. ”What? No. I’m not. Don’t worry. I trust you to not mess with Casey’s heart.” he said as he glanced around, wiping at his eyes for a moment. They needed to stop betraying him. He needed to be strong for his sister, and everyone else around him. He was going to write his mother once he finds his sister.
”Our father was found dead last night.” he said softly as he looked at the sandwich Mavican had handed him. He had taken a tiny bite out of it and looked at her. ”I need you to keep an eye on Casey for me. I don’t know how she’s going to handle this news. And with her in a different house, it’s hard to find where she is.”

Mavican had expected many directions that this conversation would go in but she didn't expect to see Jonah so upset. The guy looked mighty tough but he was deep down just a sweet kid with a golden heart. The redhead cocked her head when he spoke and she just felt like hugging him, even when she wasn't a hugger herself. Instead she just reached her arm out to squeeze his shoulder.
"I'm sorry for your loss Jonah, I don't think she knows yet." she said softly and frowned. To be honest Mavican felt like the man had it coming, the asshole deserved to rot in the same hell her mother would rot in one day but this was their father and Mavican was the girl who would do anything to get to know her own.
"I will look out for her, trust me." she said softly and turned to her plate. Everyone knew she had a hard time being a girlfriend in general but Casey deserved someone to support her now. "When is the funeral? Do you guys need a notice to attend?" she asked and bit her lip.
Jonah wasn’t expecting to wake up to news like this, he wasn’t one to deal with loss lightly. Sure, his father had mentally abused Casey for years, telling her she wasn’t good enough and almost laid a hand on her during one of his drunken outbursts during the summer holidays. But he was still his father and he had no idea what his mother planned on doing with the body. All he knew was that he had to write his mother later that morning to see what the plans were, he wondered if they were going to a funeral or wait until school was over to hold a service. He wasn’t expecting something big because his father was hated by many.
”Thank you, Mavican.” he said softly, looking at her with a tiny smile. ”I have no idea what the plans are. Gonna write to mother and see what she wants to do. Even though they’re divorced, she still has the rights over his body and stuff.” he said with a small sigh and took a bite of the sandwich.
”Just make sure Casey doesn’t do anything stupid.”

The redhead never really experienced the loss of a parent. She lost her dad to neglect and her mother the same way but they weren't dead as far as she knew. They never cared for her so she didn't care much about them or whether or not they were alive. Truth be told sometimes it was easier to think they didn't exist but that wasn't the case for Jonah and his family. Surely Casey would feel pain even when the man didn't treat her right, in the end he was still her father.
"Will you tell her though?" she asked him because she sure as hell wasn't going to break the news down to the girl she grew to like a lot. Mavican didn't want to see her face break as the words would leave her lips and honestly it was too much pressure on herself as well. "Or did she get a letter like you?" she asked and cocked her head a bit. "Yeah if you need to go to a funeral just let the professor know.. I'm sure he will make sure you can go.." she didn't know why he wouldn't.
"No don't thank me, guess being a person's girlfriend comes with its own duties. How are you doing aside from that?"
Jonah had shook his head when Mavican asked him if he was going to be the one to break the news to his sister. ”A professor told me. I’ve been told that Casey will be pulled into Professor Mason’s office…” he said softly as he looked toward the entrance of the Great Hall after he thought he had spotted his sister but it was another short haired girl. The Hufflepuff let out a sigh, shaking his head as he looked at Mavican with a tiny smile. ”I don’t want to go to be honest. I can’t miss a class. I need to graduate next year…”
Even though he shouldn’t be worrying about his education at that moment, he needed to do something to keep his mind off the loss. The male gave Mavican a nod, smiling a bit more. ”I’m okay. Just worried about my family.” he said softly as he took a glass of juice, taking a few large gulps of it.
