With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Ever been so bored that you just didn’t want to leave your dorm room and interact with actual human beings? It was one of those days for Mia Jones who didn’t even want to get out of bed that beautiful weekend day, but she did. The first year even gotten herself out of bed to go for a walk around the school, avoiding her friends and not even greet anyone. Usually one would think she was depressed, but truth be told, she wasn’t one to get depressed all of a sudden, and maybe she was a bit sad that she was away from her dog her parents had gotten her a few years back. Maybe she had gotten an owl with a new photo of her puppy to help cheer the girl up. Maybe she was a bit homesick, and she wouldn’t admit it out loud, even though she was someone to say what she was feeling.
Mia had wandered around outdoors, feeling the cool breeze as she looked up at the sky. At least the sun was out for a bit and she didn’t have to worry about the snow now. The young girl had let out a sigh as she moved to sit on the grass, crossing her legs and stared out at the other students who were also enjoying the fresh air. Perhaps she should find a sibling, and harass them.
Nah.
With a small pout, she seated herself on the grass, her hand finding her chin and she watched as people interacted with each other. She didn’t even notice movement out of the corner of her eye as someone approached her.

It was a sunny day and Clary was having the BEST TIME. There were pancakes for breakfast and they were delicious, especially with apple and cinnamon. Then she went to find her sisters but so far all she found was her would be sister if he could be Reginald. His royal highness was mean as usual so she went to find someone else to have fun with. The redhead was skipping along the grounds, making her appear like a bouncing bunny and grinned when she spotted Mia.
She loved her baby sister but the girl seemed less okay and Clary instantly felt like she had to change that. "Mia! How are you?" she said happily and plopped down beside her, pulling her in a hug whether she liked it or not.
Mia wasn’t expecting her big sister to come harass her that day and she looked annoyed when Clary pulled her in a hug. She was about to protest but instead she looked straight at the other students, annoyed that they were having fun and not her. God, maybe she should go back and lie down in her dorm so she didn’t have to see what was happening around her. A sigh escaped her for a moment before she looked at her sister with a tiny frown.
”You look happy. Why are you happy? Did someone put something in your pancakes this morning?” she asked, looking at her sister as if she had four heads. There was a shrug and she sighed. ”I miss Milo.” Her dog.

In Clary's mind asking why she was happy was the weirdest question because hello, pancakes! Then again she figured Mia might be an alien and doesn't like pancakes. The redhead frowned for a moment and just shrugged it off. Of all the feelings she could feel, joy wasn't the worst. She remembered pain and heartbreak like it was yesterday and she finally managed to move past it. She managed to move on with her life that was supposed to be filled with so many things! Like adventure, mystery more romance and learn new things.
"Why wouldn't I be happy?" she asked Mia with a chuckle. "Look at how pretty the sun is shining." she said and smirked. "I had chocolate on my pancakes and it was delicious but thank you for the concern." she told her sister with a smile. "You will see Milo soon, did you ask mum and dad for pictures? I am sure if you ask they will send some." she suggested and curled up a bit to rest her chin on her knees.
Chocolate on pancakes? That explains why her sister was going off the walls with joy, something Mia wanted to feel for herself. The first year Ravenclaw had skipped breakfast that morning, not wanting to interact with people. It was weird because she was a chatty girl at times, sometimes stirring up trouble and giving people a hard time. But that day Mia just wanted to keep to herself because the homesickness was getting to her. She wasn’t one to cry in front of people because she hated to show weakness, but she really missed her own bed.
”I haven’t yet. No.” she said as she answered her sister about photos. A sigh had left the girl as she sat up straight a bit and looked around. ”How do you know if you like someone?” she said and cocked her head to the side. ”Say your friend is liking a boy but she also hates him because he’s a smug idiot.”
