With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
The first werewolf support club was a disaster in Elijah’s opinion, and a part of him did not want to attend the next one that was bound to happen sometime soon. He wasn’t impressed by some of these students, but he wasn’t going to state it because he didn’t want to make anymore enemies than he already had. Bad enough the ministry woman was involved now, which put the whole meeting into something rather friendly. He wouldn’t dare to speak ill, nor would he want to disrespect her in any way. He knew she was there to do her job, and report back to her bosses.
Elijah had been lying in the Gryffindor common room, staring up at the ceiling - wanting to write to his baby sister but he didn’t feel safe doing it. Even though he understood as to why shit like this was happening, he didn’t want people to nose around or even try to find his sister.
He was careful.
Elijah’s thoughts were interrupted when he heard footsteps coming in and he peeked up to notice his twin coming in. ”Have you proposed to Morgan yet?”
Ryker had been wandering around trying to find a way to do what she aimed to do at the bloody cabin. She was supposed to do something romantic and well that all went to hell as soon as the thought started. Being frustrated and slightly annoyed at everyone the girl walked right from practicing on her own to the common room. She couldn't find morgan and figured she was busy with other things and so Ryker was stuck.
With a sigh she walked into the common room only to run into her brother who asked the obvious question out loud.
"Can you ask that any louder?" she asked and cocked her head. "Not yet.." she had a small pout. "I don't know how to anymore." she said and plopped down beside him. "Make room."
They were all in a foul mood since the incident at the cabin, and Elijah could sense the disappointment in Ryker. The male knew of the engagement ring she had, and even tried to help to come up with some ideas. But Elijah himself wasn’t the romantic type of guy, and was at a loss as soon as Apollo Fitzgerald had ruined Ryker’s plans. This bothered him a bit, he needed his sister to find happiness and not worry about what’s going on out in the world. The moment he had asked that question though, he regretted it because it was out loud and around other people.
”Sorry, sister.” he said, sitting up a bit and groaned as he moved to sit upright on the couch as he eyed his sister. ”Valentine's Day is coming.” he suggested. ”Take her out on the grounds, and do it here.”
