With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Charlie had found herself wandering around the castle, her bag over her shoulder as she tried to think of something to do to entertain herself. Gemini had something that needed to be done, and Charlie decided to give the girl space so she wouldn’t be distracted. Charlie had never been this bored, and she had lost her muse to finish the drawing she had been working on. This wasn’t entirely good because she wanted to make sure her present to her girlfriend was ready. She was somewhat disappointed when she had discovered that she couldn’t do some shopping. But it wasn’t the end of the world, she was going to deal with it one way or another. Perhaps she can ask her parents if they can get a little something and send it to her so she can give it to her girlfriend.
The female whined a bit as she thought about it, and she had stopped in the trophy room to find a place to sit so she can write a quick owl for her parents while the thought was in her head. When she had arrived inside, she had made her way to sit in front of one of the trophy cases, sitting folding her legs as she pulled out some parchment and quill.
There was a tiny smile when she had started to write an owl to send to her parents when she heard footsteps entering the room and she had peeked up when she saw the person moving toward her.

but the loneliness never left me
Veronica liked the trophy room. It was quiet, most of the time. A good place to draw. She liked drawing ever since she was a little girl. She was pretty decent at it, at least in her opinion. She didn't want to make a career out of it or anything, but that didn't mean she didn't like it. She had loads of sketch books, most of them full of sketches that were less than cheerful. Dark creatures with white eyes, long limbs and sharp teeth were commonly found in her sketch books. Not necessarily real creatures. She found that, often, her drawings gave a face to her feelings. She had a lot of crap she still had to work through.
She had tucked herself between two of the glass cases rather than one of the benches. She was usually the most comfortable sitting, sometimes even sleeping, on the floor. When someone entered the room she instinctively tucked her feet up into her body. Not that she was hiding, she just didn't want to be bothered.
When the person started writing, Veronica thought that it might be best to take her leave. Being quiet as she stood was easy enough. She'd become a master sleuth at a young age so sneaking was easy for her. She managed to get out of her hiding spot undetected. As she made for the door, the other girl seemed to think that Veronica was heading towards her and that made her stop dead in her tracks. "Um...no, I was just passing through." She reached for her messenger bag to slip her sketch book inside and the book slid out of her hand and fell open onto the ground with a bang, scattering pages everywhere. Veronica heaved a sigh and crouched down to pick them up. Leave it to her to be a proper sneak, yet unable to put a damn book in her back.
