With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Charlie had been working on her latest drawing in the Hufflepuff basement, finding the peace while the other students did their studies elsewhere. The female had seated herself in the corner of the common room, her legs tucked under her as she worked on the drawing that was her girlfriend. The female had spotted her earlier that day in a perfect angle, and she had snuck a rough sketch of the girl before she had went off to have dinner. Now that she had returned from the Great Hall, she had decided that she should work on this drawing, and maybe give it to her when she was done. It might be weird and creepy, but Charlie found it somewhat romantic. Even though she wasn’t one to be the romantic one. She had no idea how to be the perfect girlfriend.
There were only a few other Hufflepuffs in the common, but none that held her interest for long. She had no idea where Gemini was at that very moment, and it made the girl pout for a few minutes. But maybe this was a good idea to do the drawing when she was away so her girlfriend wouldn’t see it right yet. She wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise now did she? Nope. The female looked up as she heard someone come into the common room, and she quickly closed her sketchbook as she saw her girlfriend enter. She kept her eyes on her as she grabbed her bag, and tucked the book inside, followed by her pencil.
”I was just thinking about you!” she had said as her girlfriend came closer and she moved to get more comfortable in her chair. ”Where have you been?”
Gemini was baking! Her father gave her the best present and she wanted to use it to bake cookies and send them to him because he was probably lonely! The young girl happily walked back to the Hufflepuff dorm with the box of cookies in her hands, they actually tasted good and she felt like maybe this time she did it right! With her smile on her face and her sparkling eyes she happily walked into the common room where she was greeted by her girlfriend.
"What were you thinking about? My hair? My clothes?" she asked and cocked her head a bit as she plopped down in Charlie's lap. They could share a chair! "I've been baking my papa cookies, he sounds so sad in his letters even when he says he's not sad." she said and held a cookie out. "Want to try one?"

Charlie was thankful that her bag wasn’t betraying her like it had in the past, and she had managed to hide her latest artwork from her girlfriend. She hated when someone would put their nose in her business, and she’d stop working on an art piece just because to her, it was ruined. As soon as her girlfriend had made herself at home in Charlie’s lap, she had wrapped an arm around her waist, giving her a sweet smile and kissed her cheek as she listened to her girlfriend explain what she was doing. Baking cookies. And Charlie’s eyes went onto the cookie her girlfriend held up, causing the girl to smile a bit.
She had taken the cookie, looking it over and took a bite. ”Mm!” she hummed and nodded as she looked at her girlfriend. ”These will probably make him happy.” she gave a nod with a smile. ”I was just bored and wanted to see you.”
Gemini wasn't completely stupid. She knew Charlie was being her beautiful artistic self but Gem would never, ever bother her about her art. She once did it to Greyson and well he was not happy. Though she firmly believed he was an artist, she felt like he didn't. The brunette girl was actually quite glad that Charlie was able to do her artistic stuff without Gemini around, it helped fill the time! Like baking! The girl was quite cuddled up to Charlie and wondered if her papa would be happy to hear she has a girlfriend. She hadn't really told people because it was her girlfriend, why did she have to share?
""Oh really? It's good?" she asked with a bright smile on her face. Gemini sometimes wondered if people were only nice to her to not hurt her feelings but Charlie was smiling and enjoying the cookie so that's a good sign right? "He sounds so sad in his letters, I wonder if people bully him at work. Would people bully my papa?" she asked Charlie with slight concern. Bullies were mean people and Gemini never really liked them. What if people were mean to her papa? Would he be able to handle them?
"Well I am here now!" she told her, her brightness returning to her features, no sign of concern longer there. "What do you want to do?"

Charlie wasn’t entirely worried about Gem’s father because he was an adult, and he was a tough man from what she had heard from her girlfriend. The young female knew what Gem’s father meant his daughter, and she wished she felt the same for her own parents. Sure, they had adopted all her siblings, including herself and gave them the best life as they could give. Charlie wasn’t one to get angry at her parents and her unknown number of adopted siblings, but to be fair, their home was a little crowded. At least whenever she was home, she hid in her room and only came out for bathroom and dinner break.
Charlie had nodded as she finished the cookie, smiling a bit more and hummed as she wrapped her arms around her waist again. ”Mhm. I want more cookies now.” she said and kissed her neck softly. ”I think your papa can handle himself. He’s a tough man, right? If people are bullying him, he can just report them to the higher ups.” she said softly.
Gemini's lips were curled up into a smile whenever she was around Charlie. She just loved being around her and Charlie was so nice and snuggly. The brunette giggled at the touch of Charlie's lips in her neck, it felt funny and always made her giggle. She couldn't even stop it if she wanted to, the feeling was so weird and tickly. She reached for the box of cookies and handed Charlie another. "That's the last one though! otherwise papa has none left." she said with a slight chuckle as she put the box down again.
"Oh I know he is a big strong man but he is also very sweet and I don't want bad guys to be mean to him." she said and frowned. She loved her father but sometimes she felt like he was always getting himself into trouble and trying to protect people. Where would she go if he got hurt? If he went away? Would she even have a home then? Would she still be with her brothers? Her mama was gone and she couldn't do anything about that, she didn't want her papa to go away too.
Charlie had taken the cookie from her with a slight pout but understood that these cookies belonged to Gem’s father and not for Charlie to eat all of them. There was a time she had pulled that stunt on her sister and her sister was pouty for almost two days because of it. Lesson learned, she wasn’t going to be the cookie thief she was known for. Instead she had to deal with the fact that this was her last cookie, the cookie she was going to take the time for. Maybe she can get someone to bake some for her, that was an idea. The young female had taken a bite of the cookie, looking up at her girlfriend as she listened to her talk about her father.
It was adorable how Gem was such a daddy’s girl while Charlie wasn’t the type to kiss her father's ass. She wondered if she’d ever find her birth parents but the chances of that were slim to none. They were probably long gone by now, maybe dead. She had no idea.
Gemini would have given her girlfriend more cookies but these were for her father who sounded sad when he said he wasn't. Gemini was really worried about him and she hadn't talked to her brothers on whether or not they knew anything about their dad. Maybe he told them something different and tried to shield her from it all but she wasn't going to think about that until she sees him again this summer. Then she would actually see his face and could tell whether or not he was really sad.
Gemini looked at Charlie and smiled a bit. "I missed you too silly. Why was your day boring though?" she was curious what Charlie did. They almost had all the same classes but when they didn't, Gemini was curious how those classes would go for Charlie. She was just curious and wanted to talk. "Do you have boring classes? I like our classes."
”Because we didn’t get to hang out much.” Charlie said with a tiny pout and cocked her head to the side. Sure, some of the classes Charlie had found boring but she was also broed when she couldn’t interact with her girlfriend during them. They were either paired up by the professor or not seated next to each other. Perhaps Charlie needed to focus on getting a seat next to Gemini for the next few classes. She hated being far from her and maybe she was a little jealous of the people hanging out with Gem.
”I enjoyed the classes though. Just would have been more fun if we get to sit together sometime.” she said, biting her lip.
Seats in classes were easily taken and though Gemini wasn't one to complain when it came down to meeting new people, she did understand that Charlie wanted to sit with her more. She actually didn't mind because it was fun to sit with Charlie. The brunette girl was always open and friendly to everyone she meets, even when she didn't know them very well and would never turn them away. The girl turned to look at Charlie, kissing her cheek happily. Charlie arched her brow a bit with a smile still on her face.
"Then sit next to me next time silly bean." she said, poking her girlfriend's nose. Charlie could sit next to her as much as she wanted, Gemini wouldn't complain one bit. "What class do we have tomorrow? We can sit together then!" she assured her and cuddled up to Charlie. Gemini loved cuddling and she felt a bit cold so now she had a reason to cuddle her girlfriend and warm up!
