With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
It was quiet and Mara had been up early. She left Peter a note that she was in the living room, she knew how scared he could be when she wasn't in bed with him but she just wanted to watch some cartoons and eat cereal like a normal girl. Mara didn't like watching people sleep, though it could be romantic she found it creepy which was enough for her to go out into the living area and eat. With a yawn she took a bite of the food until she heard noises outside.
It couldn't have been Dallas or Artie, they were snoring in their room. This was a small cabin, noises travel through walls. Mara swallowed a lump and reached for a poker from the fireplace. Maybe it was just a bird? But then there was knocking and Mara realized it sure as hell wasn't a bird. The girl held onto the poker tightly and tried to peek from the window.
"G-Go away.." she said and tried not to lose her confidence that she could kick his ass.

Making house calls was something Dexter wouldn’t normally do, but he had met Dallas Reid a while back and he’s been checking in with him every three to four months. If they needed something from the former healer, he was going to be there when he knew it was safe to leave his pack for a couple of hours. Dexter wasn’t one to leave them hanging. A week prior to him showing up at the cabin unannounced, he had bumped into Apollo Fitzgerald who had told him that his twin sister was pregnant and that she might need a healer sometime in the future. There was a hint of anger in Apollo’s voice when he told Dexter the news, and Dexter knew he had to check in with the young couple.
With the bag over his shoulder, he had stepped onto the porch, he looked around with a slight frown. He did have the correct cabin, right? Of course he did. He had been there before. He had knocked on the door, looking at the porch swing, and then heard a female’s voice inside, telling to go away. Okay, something was off. Apollo didn’t mention that there was someone else in the cabin.
”uh...I’m looking for Dallas Reid.” he called softly, looking around. ”I’m a friend.”
Mara wasn't stupid, if the bad guys found here they would've asked for Peter, they would not have asked for Dallas. Dallas had a job outside of this place and she wondered if that was biting them in the ass right about now. She peeked a bit past the curtain of the little windows, her eyes scanning the man on the porch. He didn't seem like a bad guy and Mara could definitely kick his ass if she tried hard enough so if he did attack her, it was one scream and a kick in the right place.
"W-who are you?" she asked through the door, close against it and ready to kick his ass as she opened it slowly, the chain still on its lock so he couldn't get in.

Dexter had raised an eyebrow as the female had opened the door a little bit, lying to his face. Okay, so if she was going to play it that way, he was going to leave it be. ”I”m Dexter Callaghan. I’m a healer…” he introduced to himself, looking behind him as the breeze got to him. For a wolf, it didn’t bother him much but it bothered other people. ”I’m sure Dallas told you about me. I met him a few months back, I promised I’d come out here when I can and here I am.” he said with a sigh.
Okay, maybe he should just give up. ”I can go.” he said, pointing behind him and backed away from the door. ”Sorry for disturbing your morning, miss.” he had said, turning away from the door and started to walk down the steps.
Mara had to admit she was terrified to her bones about this man. She had no idea if he had good intentions and if he did she just sent away the one person who Dallas needed. The girl let out a sigh and frowned when he said he was a healer and bit her lip. "Dallas asked you to come?" she asked him a bit scared as she slowly opened the door more. What if this man came for Artemis and she needs a doctor whether the girl liked it or not. The brunette eyed him for a second.
"He told me about a healer from the good pack.." she admitted. "He really isn't here though.. he is out buying Artemis supplies.." she said softly and bit her lip. "No wait.. I can't deny Artemis a healer.." she said quickly and though she felt stupid about trusting a complete stranger, the girl had no one else to turn to. "C-Can you help her? With the baby?" she asked and stepped aside slowly.

Dexter knew some werewolves would be paranoid to say the least whenever a werewolf from a different pack showed up at their doorstep. He wasn’t mad that this girl had attempted to turn him away, send him off somewhere else. In fact, he was proud that this woman was on guard. It was needed with these teenagers, knowing that there could be danger heading their way. The male stopped as he heard the door open, causing him to turn around and look at the girl. ”The Cotswolds.” he corrected her. He wondered if she heard of the packs causing trouble or trying to keep the peace.
The male moved slowly, looking at her and nodded. ”I can help her, yeah. I used to work at the hospital before they fired me because...well…” he started and headed up the steps, going inside.
”I just want to see how she’s doing and then I can make some trips out here in the future to check in. It’s not easy being a wolf while pregnant.”
Mara had to be on guard, if she made a mistake it could cost her so much. The brunette ran a hand through her hair and just watched the other healer cautiously, she was ready to claw his eyes out if she had to but she felt like she didn't have to. He did look like a regular healer and though he was big and tall.. he didn't look dangerous. The girl sighed and nodded towards the bedroom where Artemis was at. She would knock first and ask Artemis if she was expecting anyone but she kept her eye close on Dexter.
"I heard of them.. heard they are the nice ones." she said though she wouldn't join that pack in a million years. Too much publicity would be too dangerous for Peter. "Yeah a lot of people lost the good things because of well.." she didn't finish her sentence either, they had a mutual understanding. She lost her education, he lost his job. It was just that simple it seemed. Mara wished Peter was here.. have him protect her but she was a strong girl when she had to be.
"I'll knock.." she said and knocked on Artemis's door. "Artie? A healer is here for you.."

Dexter wouldn’t hold any sort of anger toward him against anyone. They wanted to protect their loved ones, and he understood that. It was why he did what he did. When he was a normal wizard without a worry about the world, he wanted to help and heal people. He worked hard to become a healer, to make his family proud and have his sisters make fun of him. When he first got the job, his younger sister wouldn’t stop teasing him for a week until their parents told her to knock it off and focus on her future. God, he missed his family and the arguments he’d have with his sisters.
”Some people believe being a werewolf is a curse. It is, but we’ve all learn to accept it. It took me a long time but I found purpose again.” he said and watched as she went to go knock on Artemis’ door. It was then he heard footsteps and a little cursing from behind the door before it opened.
”Hey, yes. Hi. Thank you Mara…” the pregnant wolf said, looking between the two. ”This is a normal check up. To make sure everything is okay with the baby and...well myself.” the girl said and stepped out of her bedroom. ”Shall we?”
Dexter nodded with a smile and put his bag down. He had things for the pregnant wolf, to give her what she needed. He would come back out here sometimes. ”Yes ma’am.”
