With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
As always, Ezra Rosaline was up to no good, and he wasn’t going to stop his mayhem he was putting on the fellow students of Hogwarts. The male was in the kitchens, grabbing some old food that had expired and was shoving them into his bag. Sure, this wasn’t a nice prank but he was not going to stop now. He had planned on putting some rotten food in some unsuspecting Gryfinndor’s bed, and was going to wait for the scream. People had told him to stop, but this was fun and he wanted to cheer people up. Maybe this was a poor attempt, but whatever. People had been talking about the winter ball (he missed it due to being ill), and he wanted to make things better.
Or worse for some people but who cares? It’s a harmless prank, and there’s no harm to the actual person. When he was about to leave the kitchens after collecting what he needed, he heard footsteps which made him back away from the door, his eyes wide.
It was one of those mornings where Declan didn't want to eat and converse with people so he decided to get breakfast in the kitchens. With a yawn he walked from the dungeons to the kitchens, his hands in the pockets of his pants and his tired eyes looking ahead. Declan had been hating himself for failing at flying and really just didn't want to think about that.
With a sigh he headed for the kitchens and as he walked in his eyes were on a white haired boy just standing there like a goldfish gasping for air. "What are you doing Rosaline?" he asked with a frown and crossed his arms over his chest. Declan was familiar with the twins but he didn't always know who was who.
"What is that smell?" he said and covered his nose.
The boy let out a breath when he saw it was a first year Slytherin boy, and he was thankful it wasn’t a prefect or a professor because then he would have a lot of explaining to do. He wanted to hurry out of there before the rotten food started to smell in his bag, and when the boy asked what he was doing there, he just gave the boy a sheepish grin, shrugging his shoulders. He wasn’t going to let him in on this prank, instead he was going to walk away.
He was about to step around him before he was asked what was that smell, and Ezra’s eyes went onto his bag by his side. Great. ”Okay, it’s not what you think, Tyrell.” he started as he gave him the same grin. ”It’s rotten food. Going to...do something…” he said, not taking his eyes off the boy before him. ”Don’t tell anyone.”
Declan looked at the boy in front of him and frowned for a moment. The look on his face was nothing like Edmund's so this must have been the twin brother. What would he want with rotten food anyway? Didn't the elves get rid of that stuff? The disasterous organization of this place didn't surprise Declan one bit as he cocked his head and rolled his eyes. Of course he was going to be addressed by his last name, same thing happened to Rosaline here.
"Right.. so if I send a signal to my sister you wouldn't run?" he asked and frowned when the boy finally explained the smell. "What in the name of Merlin do you need with rotten food? Are you in that much of a poor situation that you need rotten food to get by? You know there is regular food right there.." he pointed at the kitchen. "What kind of something?" Declan was curious and wouldn't let him walk away like that.

Ezra’s shoulders slumped when Declan mentioned Professor Stick Up Her Arse (Ariella) and he had gripped his bag tighter when he felt more tensed. He didn’t trust the Tyrell’s one bit and he had many reasons. Maybe because one was a professor and she could mess up with his grades. Sure, Ezra seemed to be the type that didn’t care about his grades, but his family did. They all wanted to pass. They all wanted to graduate. The male winced a bit, looking down at the floor and gritted his teeth for a moment. ”Not poor.” he said with a slight groan in his voice.
”Who would you tell? I don’t know, maybe that sister of yours who seems to have a stick up her arse.” he suggested and let out a sigh. ”It’s a project. A little side project.”
Nope, he wasn’t going to trust the Tyrell one bit.
Declan didn't like Rosaline, either of the two for that matter but he wasn't a snitch either. He wasn't going to tell on them for whatever reason because it simply wasn't in his best interest. What would happen if he told on them hmm? Oh he knows what would happen. Scenario one would be simply that Ezra gets in shit with the professors, probably get detention and Declan not really knowing him well but know him well enough to know he wasn't going to live it down would get attacked in a way.
Did he want to project himself into any sense of harm? No. Self preservation was a real thing and Declan was sure to keep himself safe. "Right so a side project that requires rotten food? Is it true that Edmund is the smart one or am I being pranked at this very moment?" he asked with a frown. "I wouldn't tell Ariella a damn thing. I am not stupid Rosaline." he scoffed. "The moment I even think about snitching I get in trouble with your family and though it is stupid to even consider fighting me you will undoubtedly try." Declan crossed his arms over his chest trying to look big and strong.
"I want in on your project. It is the most logical way to keep yourself safe from professors with my influence." he said with a frown.
Ezra didn’t appreciate being called dumb in some sense, something he had hated for years. Both the twins had their own strengths and weaknesses, a thing that people seem to forget. Ezra wasn’t going to stand here and be insulted by some stupid Slytherin boy. No. A part of him wanted to walk away, but instead he had stood there, gritting his teeth and glared at Declan. What was this first year think he’s doing? Ezra wasn’t scared of him, no. He wanted to laugh him off, but instead he adjusted the bag on his shoulder as he watched Tyrell.
”Keeping me safe with your influence? You do know if I get in trouble and you’re there too, you’d get in trouble too, right? Some professors don’t see you as a threat your family thinks they have on people. If you get caught with me, you’ll just look like an idiot if you try to use your name.” he said, crossing his arms.
Look here was the deal. Declan wanted in because truth be told he lacked friends, even if he didn't like people, especially Rosaline, he needed friends. The boy had been going through these halls way too long and didn't trust a single person he surrounded himself with, aside from his sister. The boy knew very well what Ezra could do would bring them into a sense of trouble but Ezra doubting Declan's bloodline was something Declan didn't tolerate, not one bit. His bloodline was one of legends, future legends mostly. Like every family there were failures, like the bastards but he wasn't going to be like that.
"You forget I am not a bastard who make the Tyrell name a stain on life." he hissed in return and took a step into Ezra's direction, not letting him go without Declan. "Those bastards will one day live in a box on the outside of the world where they can't disgust humanity with their existence." he assured Ezra and held his head high like he always did. "My influence will surely let me off easy, it always does." he scoffed and slipped his hands into his pockets. Nodding at Ezra to lead the way.
"Are you just going to stand there and smell like rotten food or are you going to use those legs Rosaline?"
Ezra would never dream of getting other people in trouble with his schemes, but he wasn’t against to get this boy into some trouble. The boy was a little amused when Declan mentioned his influence would let him off easy, making him snort and shrugs his shoulders. Okay, sure. Whatever this first year says, and helps him sleep at night. Sometimes he wondered if the Tyrell’s really got away with things they’d pull during their years at Hogwarts. ”Right. Okay.” he said and clicked his tongue as he thought about how to get his prank started.
”Guess we’ll see what your influence really has on this place. I highly doubt you’ll avoid detention.” he said and moved around Declan to go do his thing. He needed to get out of this kitchen before a professor came in and ruined his plans.
”Do you Tyrell’s always have a stick up your arses? Because I rarely see any of you smile.”
Declan didn't appreciate Rosaline's attitude towards his family because honestly, this boy should be lucky about them being in his life. God knows what was going to happen between Edmund and Katrin, they keep giving each other looks that even made Declan feel grossed out. The younger male coughed and headed away from the kitchens with Ezra, the boy who smelled like a thousand deaths would smell. Not that Declan knew what that smelled like until now. The boy held his head high and had a confident strut as he walked.
"Wait and see." he said and grinned a bit. Truth be told he was probably going to get detention and his father would be pissed. "We're just proud of our heritage.. if you want a happy Tyrell you should see my older sister. The bastards don't count." he said and shrugged as he walked. "Speaking of sticks up asses, what's with your brother hmmm? He looks like you but yet he is getting into Katrin's good graces." he said and smirked. "No boy often does." he added and looked around.
"Guess having a stick up our arses is actually quite attractive, I never see you with a pretty girl."
