With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
It was a beautiful day for once, the winter was starting to turn to spring soon and the cold wasn't even that bad either. Raven had a day off from teaching kids and people to defend themselves and was just seated on the couch, listening to the radio with a cup of hot chocolate in her hands. Times had been intense and her lack of ability to sleep wasn't helping Dexter much either. The man was quite older than herself but they shared a daughter and they both knew this was something they had to fight for.
She knew that she needed something to fight for and this time she wasn't going to be a coward. She would fight but not now, not today. The brunette let out a sigh and smiled, this song was so nice. She loved the old school jazz music. Her heart always reached out for that and a smile was on her lips, her eyes closed as she took a sip of the hot chocolate.

Dexter had been making his rounds to the fellow pack members, wanting to make sure they were all good and well. Being the healer of a wolfpack can be stressful, but someone had to do it. He was the only one that had a background in healing, having been fired from St. Mungo’s due to his werewolf status and he was thankful they had found him when they did. The thought of being a monster destroyed the male, and he hadn’t been able to see his boys in years since it happened. The only thing that got him through the hard times was the photos he had after a nasty divorce, and he had received letters from his siblings and parents about the status of his boys but it’s been a year since the last letter. He dropped contact with them because he felt it was safer for them, and if they didn’t know his whereabouts, they couldn’t easily tell the government where he was. This was best.
Dexter had walked back to his tent, hearing the music coming from the radio and it made him smile a bit. At least he had a home here, a home with his girlfriend and their baby girl. Sometimes he wondered if it was safe to have a baby out here, but she was protected by many. They weren’t going to let some intruder harm his daughter, right? He was always worried that this place was dangerous for his daughter, but he wasn’t going to drop her off to his siblings or parents. Not after dropping contact with them. Perhaps they thought he was dead.
The male had made his way into the tent, smiling a bit as he noticed Raven on the couch drinking what smells like hot chocolate and he looked around, toward the crib in the corner of the place. He had walked toward the crib, looking at his sleeping daughter and he had placed a hand on her chest gently, smiling a bit. At least she was sleeping now unlike her parents.
”Sleeping beauty.” he had whispered softly before he made his way toward Raven, flopping down next to her. ”Hello, love.” he said, kissing her on the cheek.
If they needed him, they can come to him or shout. Whatever works.
Raven had a passion for jazz and if she had to be quite honest the music never bothered their daughter who could sleep like the dead. Raven had ran a hand through her dark wavy locks when she saw her boyfriend enter the tent. It had been a while since she called a man her boyfriend, it was almost foreign to her. The thought of even being with someone scared the living daylight out of Raven but here she was, sitting on a couch with a smile on her face as that very man entered the tent.
The crib near their bed was still quiet as their daughter was fast asleep. "I know.. she doesn't care about noise at all." Raven said yet in a soft tone to avoid accidentally waking her. As he sat down next to her, Raven cuddled up to him and sipped from her hot chocolate. "Hey handsome, how was your day?" she asked and looked at Dexter who seemed quite tired.

Dexter was quite proud of his little family, but the truth was, he wished his sons could meet their baby sister. He knew his ex-wife was disappointed that they had all boys, and no daughter for her to play dress up (he was thankful). But he knew the risks of them knowing about it because he didn’t trust the Ministry - he didn’t trust anyone at all. They would probably try and take the child away, or even kill her. That was Dexter’s greatest fears, and he wasn’t going to let that happen. It would destroy the man even more than he was already.
Once Dexter was comfortable on the couch, he can feel the tiredness getting to him but he wasn’t going to complain about it. Instead, he had wrapped an arm around his girl, kissing the top of her head as he watched the crib for a second. ”It was quite fine. Nothing really majorly going on with the pack.” he said with a tiny smile. ”How long as she been asleep for?” he asked as he leaned his head back on the couch, his eyes closing for a moment.
Being a mother wasn't completely new but being a responsible parent, that was new to Raven. Throughout her life she has been pregnant a few times, she got rid of the first child once but the second.. the second she gave up because she couldn't bear the thought of being a parent on her own. Being responsible when she was having the best time destroying herself. If it weren't for Dexter she was probably still on that road. The road of tequila, loud music and nowhere to call home.
Her eyes flicked towards the sound of a baby's sound but it was just a small squeal in her sleep. "Glad they're fine." not that she truly cared. Raven was still a bit of a loose cannon and sometimes there was doubt in her loyalty. Raven was just a woman of action but she also knew that fighting was only going to make it worse for people like her, for people like Dexter.
"She's been sleeping for about an hour.. maybe more." she said and smiled a bit. "I am jealous of how good of a sleeper she is." Raven looked at Dexter. "You look like shit."

Dexter eyed the crib for a moment as he heard the tiny squeal and he couldn’t help but chuckle at how adorable his daughter was. He was a proud papa, something that hadn’t been showing because he was threatened to stay away from his sons, something that had destroyed him. But he had gotten over it, knowing that they’re probably safe and weren’t in danger. Or so he thought. He knew what had happened back at Hogwarts, it angered the male that some students had decided to attack a room full of people to get their way about werewolves. He wondered if his boys were hurt, but he knew that if he showed his face anywhere near that castle, he was done for. He knew that he can find out through a few of his pals.
There was a low chuckle from the male when Raven stated that he looked like shit and he leaned his head back, his eyes closing once more. ”Thank you.” he said with a smile, his eyes still closed. He can easily fall asleep like this but knew he couldn’t. ”I didn’t get much sleep last night. You...elbowed me in….” he started, but couldn’t finish. Instead he just laughed softly.
Raven really needed to get used to being a functional mother, through all the things she did being a functional mother, trainer to these wolves and having to deal with day to day basic problems was not her cup of tea. Raven looked at the baby, sleeping like nothing was going to change anytime soon. Raven wished she could sleep like that but even as a kid she was prone to nightmares and it was something she hopefully would never pass on to her children. Wherever the little orphan might be.
Raven let out a small sigh and turned to Dexter. "Oh shit why didn't you wake me up?" she felt her cheeks flush red out of mere shame. "I had a nightmare.. again." she told him with a frown and closed her eyes. "Always the same one.." the night she murdered those campers.

Dexter wasn’t angry at Raven for elbowing him in the very place that she would need and want on some nights. In fact, he found it amusing that she can fight in her sleep even if it meant for him to be beaten on. The male loves this woman, despite what had been happening around them. They were always watching each other’s backs and hoping to god no one gets into trouble. ”Nah. I didn’t want to wake you. One of us has to be able to function with our little girl…” he said and looked toward the crib.
He frowned a bit, kissing her head and hummed. ”I wish there’s something I can do for you. For these nightmares. I can’t get my hands on the potions we need…”
Raven's nightmares were the worst thing about her sleeping problems. She felt the nightmare as if she was sinking her teeth again and again the flesh of the person she tore apart. This time she knew what she was doing and yet she couldn't stop. Raven hated these nightmares and refused to talk about them because who would listen to her anyway? The whole point of her being a loner was the fact that she refused to have friends or get herself into social situations, baby or not.
"I know babe.." she said and cuddled up to Dexter more, feeling comfortable in his arms as she thought about how hard of a time he had trying to be the healer to all of the people here. He worked so hard to become a healer and now he was an outcast because he's a werewolf. It just wasn't right, they deserved their rights as much as the next person. Raven felt bad and knew he was feeling guilt because he couldn't help her with the nightmares either. "Don't feel sorry, I don't need the potions. I can face them head on.. I just don't want to hurt you." she said and looked at him with her sad, tired eyes.

Dexter felt all the guilt of not being able to help those around him much, not with the lack of potions and other healing herbs they needed to survive. He felt guilty because he was away from his other children, even if he had been told to stay away from them. It broke him, it made him feel awful about himself. After he was sacked because of what happened to him, he thought he’d never find purpose again and then he met the pack. They saved him, and he felt like he had a second family. He found himself again, found his love in healing. They needed him and he wasn’t going to disappoint them at all.
The male had closed his eyes as he thought about what they all been through, making him frown a bit and snapped out of his thoughts when Raven said that she didn’t want to hurt him. He lifted his head a bit to look at her, his thumb stroking her arm. ”No. I don’t want to sleep in an empty bed. Having a person next to me helps me sleep better. I don’t care if you elbow me in my manhood again. Just know you’re not getting any until its healed…” he said with a joking tone and looked toward the crib for a moment.
Raven had the traumatizing things that often scare most men away but Dexter didn't run, he didn't even flinch. No he stuck around, wanting to help her. There was literally nothing that came to Raven's mind that deserved kindness, his kindness or the pack's. She was a loose cannon, she was a danger and yet they trusted her, helped her, wanting to make a difference. Sometimes she felt like she was failing them because in her eyes them doing nothing but trying to insert themselves into politics wasn't going to solve anything.
Raven could hear his heart beat, her eyes closing with the sound of it. The brunette felt calmer by listening to it and as long as the little one wasn't crying up a storm, she was going to be just fine. "Oh dear god." she hissed in shame. How could she even elbow him that low? What the hell kind of yoga was this? Raven let out a whine and buried her face with a pillow. "No no it's wrong." she was going to keep believing that. "That manhood right there needs to be protected from the likes of me." Raven didn't unbury her face.

There was a laugh from Dexter at Raven’s reaction, knowing it was not a thing he should laugh at but he didn’t mind the abuse he got from the female when they’re asleep. They were there to help each other heal, to make sure none got to them. ”Usually it’s ‘oh dear Dexter’...” he joked when she tried to find from the world, from him. His hand just stroked her back, shaking his head with an amused smile on his face. ”I can start wearing a jock strap or whatever they’re called in bed.” he continued to tease.
”Maybe do a little roleplay to spice things up…” he said softly and looked toward the crib when the baby made the sound. Oh, no. ”I think our daughter is waking up from her nap.” he said with a pout and hummed. He couldn’t be mad at his little princess.
Raven was slightly ashamed but at least it was around Dexter and their sleeping child. The brunette knew she had another child out there in the world and always told herself the kid was better off without her. This child, the little baby in that crib at least had parents, had the pack. Raven stopped hiding when she felt the strokes on her back, it was like an instant calming thing. The woman looked at Dexter, sticking her tongue out. His jokes cheered her up even when at times they weren't even really funny.
"Oh really? Oh dexter huh?" she teased and poked him in the side when she heard noises from the crib followed by soft cries. "Shit." she sighed and got up from the couch, cuddle time over. The brunette walked over to the crib where the baby was in and just lifted her out of it slowly. "Hey little girl.. daddy's home.." she whispered and gave Dexter a small grin. She didn't smell anything bad and she really didn't feel like doing the diapers as she walked over to Dexter with the child. "Look.. it's daddy." she said while slowly handing her over to Dexter.
