With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
The day was still young as Edmund walked out of the castle into the cold snow. He wanted to find his twin brother, see if he wanted to hang out. Edmund missed his brother and with the many girls and other people demanding his attention like a bunch of hungry dogs wanting food, Edmund needed a break and just hang with his brother instead. He had been to visit the Gryffindor tower and when someone finally came out they wouldn't tell him if Ezra was still in there.
They didn't have classes together at the moment otherwise he'd be in it and see Ezra there. Edmund let out a sigh and hoped his brother was playing in the snow or something. They didn't talk since they came back at school and let out a small sigh. "Ezra?" he called out, hoping to catch his brother out here.
Oh, Ezra was out there all right. Just prowling behind some objects, not wanting to be spotted by anyone. When Ezra had noticed that there was enough snow on the ground he had planned to ambush whoever decided to come out of the castle, and well, that poor victim was going to end up being his own brother. The blonde had set up a few snowballs to get ready to throw at people, and waited for someone to come outside. He loved the cold weather, he loved to start little playful snowball fights because people deserve to have fun. Maybe he’ll take some snow, and find his sister to shove it down her shirt.
The moment he had heard his brother’s voice, he had peeked over his little hiding spot to get a glance at him. Instead of answering, he grabbed one of the many snowballs he had created, and stood up, tossing one straight at his brother with a cackle.
Why whenever Edmund needed his brother was he hard to find? the boy was getting frustrated with it and was about to give up. His eyes hell focused on getting back to the castle, his body about to move when a snowball hit him hard on the back of his head. There were many feelings going through Edmund the moment the snow hit him in the head, the coldness in his hair all the way onto his skin.
The wetness making him slightly uncomfortable as it touched his ear. Edmund turned to the cackling of his brother, he planned all of this! Edmund lowered himself to grab snow, form a ball and threw it right back at his brother. "I've been looking for you!" he shouted as he watched the snowball fly.
The moment the snowball had hit his brother, Ezra had grinned like an idiot before he cackled some more. He enjoyed making his brother’s life hell whenever he can because sometimes Edmund needed to loosen up a bit. The moment his brother turned, Ezra made the mistake of coming out of his little spot and getting hit with a snowball in return, causing the Gryffindor pout a bit because that wasn’t supposed to happen. It had hit him scare in the face, and he didn’t like it one bit.
”Because I wanted to do that to someone, and well, you just happen to be the victim.” he said and moved forward, moving down to collect more snow. ”I was hoping it would be our dear sister, but I think she has better things to do than to entertain me.”
Edmund didn't come here to entertain his brother by throwing balls of cold, wet, frozen water around like a bunch of ape minded children. He didn't see the fun in this, he didn't find joy in this and so Edmund hoped soon this would be over and they could do something that was actually fun and not... this. The blonde boy watched his snowball hit his brother in the face which wasn't meant to happen. For once Edmund wondered who spelled the snowball to actually hit him in the face as the boy had zero athletic talent.
"Sorry for that brother!" he said and didn't make another snowball out of guilt and looked around to spot Viola who of course, wasn't here. "She is probably painting.." he told Ezra and moved a bit closer but then he watched his brother make another snowball and Edmund froze. "Throwing snow isn't that much fun, being in a warm environment during the cold days... that's fun." he said and took a step back.

There was a tiny pout when Edmund said this was not fun, and he had half of mind of throwing the newly formed snowball at his twin brother. Instead, he had tossed it down on the ground and crossed his arms over his chest. His brother could be so boring! Throwing snowballs was fun, and he wanted to have some fun, and not deal with the science crap his brother loved so much. Sometimes he wondered if they were in fact twins, or if Edmund somehow copied his face and pretended to be his twin.
The boy was about to give up on his fun, and stopped walking and looked at his brother as if he had the perfect idea. ”We can find V, and toss snow at her!” he said and bounced a little. ”Unless you have other plans.”
Edmund wasn't boring. Okay maybe he was, but to him he wasn't. Edmund felt like he was the most interesting twin actually, the one with intellect and the one with the knowledge to change so much about this world when he was the right age. The boy watched Ezra throw the snowball on the ground and Edmund let out a small sigh of relief.
"Sure.." he didn't really mean to toss snow at his sister but if Ezra wanted to do it he wasn't going to stop him. With a frown he walked towards Ezra, a bit cautious because he knew his twin.
"I don't, I just wanted to spend time with my brother."

Ezra was so disappointed that his brother didn’t even think throwing snow at their sister was fun, but he wasn’t going to let that bring him down. They can do other things, it wasn’t the end of the world and there will be more snow in their future (he hoped). Maybe Edmund can use his science brain to help make sure the Earth doesn’t die. Maybe give them a chance to have real winters instead of suffering from this Global Warming bullshit.
”Fine, we can do something other than throwing snow. Just nothing science cause that’s boring.” he said, kicking snow at Edmund’s feet for a moment before he adjusted his jacket and hat. Maybe they should go inside and have something hot to drink. Maybe it’ll help take the stick out of his brother’s arse.
Edmund might be starting to understand some of his brother's claims about him being boring, mostly because their interests are nothing alike. Still he would do anything for his brother so he stopped them both and reached down to grab some snow. Bloody hell this was cold. Honestly how was this going to be fun rather than just very unpleasant? The white haired boy let out a small sigh, almost a whine attached to the sigh as he took a few steps away from his twin brother.
"You know, you do science without realizing it?" he asked his brother and grinned. "Have some velocity.." he told Ezra and threw the snowball at him with a grin before hiding behind a tree. "See?" he called out from behind the tree and felt his heart racing in his chest. This was a BAD idea. Edmund didn't like bad ideas, he actually preferred good ideas but this was going to make Ezra a lot happier and less of a grumpy pants, which was no fun for Edmund either. Edmund loved his twin and he wouldn't harm him on purpose, ever.
Ezra never understood science, never found an interest in it because of what his brother did to his favorite teddy bear when they were younger. It was something that Ezra would never let go because it hurt him to see his teddy all destroyed him. Okay, their mom repaired it for him but it wasn’t the same. It scarred him for life and he will never let his brother forget how horrible he was. When Ezra noticed his brother leaning down to grab some snow off the ground, the boy smiled but when science was mentioned, he frowned. Did he really do science without realizing it? Was he that dumb? Don’t answer that.
Ezra's eyes went wide when the snowball caught him in the chest and he stumbled back to go find his pile of snowballs he prepared when his brother went to hide behind a tree. ”I didn’t know this was science…” he said and grabbed a snowball and ran toward the tree to get his brother but ended up tripping over a rock sticking out of the snow and went down hard on his stomach.
Edmund should be more like Ezra sometimes, have fun with his brother. Especially since he acidentally destroyed his brother's stuffed animal when he didn't mean to. He loved Ezra and he was quite upset with himself for what he'd done but nothing could fix that now. The past was in the past, Edmund moved on. The boy was hiding behind the tree waiting for his brother to throw snow at him and peeked to see how he was doing, right in time to watch his brother fall to the ground.
"Oh no brother!" he said and ran for Ezra. "Are you okay?" he asked and sank down next to him, his knees getting cold from the snow. "You just met gravity." he tried to brighten the mood but his brother could be really hurt and Edmund was not sure how to help whatsoever. "Do I need to get a nurse?" he asked and looked back at the castle, that was quite a run and he didn't want to leave Ezra for that long.

Ezra was not expecting to trip in that very moment, but as soon as he landed on his stomach he felt like crying because the land was not comfortable at all. There was a low groan from the young male as he laid there, his arms ready to push himself off the ground but instead, he just whined and turned around when his brother came out of his spot and dropped to his knees to be by his side. There was a slight pout and he covered his stomach for a moment as his brother made the science remark.
”Really? I had no idea,” he said with a whine in his tone as he held out his hands. ”My stomach hurts,” he complained. ”Help me off the bloody ground.”
