With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

It was the Christmas holidays, and it was a day off for Donovan so he had planned something big. His girlfriend had been passed out in his bed, and he was up doing his thing by making her a huge breakfast in bed. The male had checked several times to make sure she was asleep so he can whip up the best breakfast, and he had something special hidden in his apartment somewhere. There was a secret compartment at his desk, and he had placed the one thing he needed to get this holiday started. It had taken him weeks to find the perfect present for his girlfriend, and it had taken an extra week for the order to get in.
Donovan had told his mother of his plans, and she was beyond excited about what he was about to do. But his father, being nearby overheard and had tried to talk him out of it. That the female would ruin his life, and he’ll have children he’ll hate. Even though Donovan wanted to become a parent, he wasn’t going to force that on his girlfriend. If she didn’t want to have children one day, so be it. He would deal with it, and by the looks of it, she raised her siblings more than her old man had done. So he wasn’t going to force her to have children with him, besides - they both had demanding jobs.
The male had finished putting the eggs on the plate on the tray he had set up so he can surprised his girlfriend with breakfast in bed. He had heard movement in the bedroom, and he knew it was his cue. He had waved his wand, making the tray of food float into the air while he went to the desk to grab the little blue box out of the compartment. He opened the box, looking at the ring before he had shoved it inside his pocket before he made the tray float into the bedroom, the food on the tray along with a cup of coffee and a cup of orange juice. He had learned that some people would like both.
He appeared in the doorway, setting the tray down on the bed beside her and he had moved to sit down on the bed next to her. ”Good morning, love.” he smiled and leaned down to kiss her lips.

Peace and quiet before the storm.
Ariella knew her job was demanding, so was Donovan's but as soon as she inherits the empire of her father she would kiss the professor job goodbye because that job meant nothing to her. A lot of professors were dedicated to their students but Ariella didn't give a damn about those kids. The school is where she was taught about the importance of many things but where some moral values got lost over time, she firmly believed that the place could be that same institution again if they only let it.
But right now she wasn't at Hogwarts, she was at Donovan's house and she couldn't be happier. She had made sure her father was doing okay, even when he wasn't grateful for her helping him sober up the hard way, he would be grateful one day that she even fucking bothered with it. She didn't do it for herself, she did it for Peter, for Ozzy, for all of them.
Did that make her a bad person? She didn't think so though being the bad guy was so much easier than being the good guy these days. Ariella rolled over in the bed feeling an emptyness she didn't seem to enjoy. Her eyes opened slowly and she was about to sit up and protest but then a tray with food and drinks came flying her way.
"Mmmm that smells delicious." she said and smiled a bit before rubbing her eyes. Ariella sat up a little, making sure the stuff could be put in her lap and looked at Donovan. "Good morning." she replied before kissing him happily. "What did I do to deserve this?" she asked and took a bite from the food. "Seriously.." she didn't get it. "When did you get up?"

Donovan had been in love the moment he had laid eyes on Ariella Tyrell, and they had met because of his brother Ciar. There was something about her that drew him in, and maybe it was the cold looks she would give to those who dared to disrespect her. He wondered why she had taken the job as a Potions Professor, but he had heard it was because she needed to keep an eye on the Tyrell’s that are at the castle months at a time. Maybe it was to improve her family business, he had no idea and he never really asked. He never really got himself involved in the business of her father knowing that it wasn’t entirely legal and he can pull the Auror card at any given moment. Maybe that’s why Samuel Tyrell didn’t approve of him.
But that didn’t matter to Donovan. All that mattered was his love for the girl he had fallen head over heels for. It’s why he wanted her as his wife so he can continue to look at her first thing in some mornings when they’re not working and stressing about life.
Donovan had grinned when she had kissed him back, and he watched her, admiring her beauty. He was lucky to have woken up with her by his side. ”You’re beautiful and deserve to be treated like the queen you are.” he said and smiled as he looked at her. ”A couple of hours ago. Didn’t want to wake you up. I know dealing with those bratty children is stressful and you need as much as sleep as you can get.”

Heartless Ariella Tyrell. That is what she had become over the years. It was a sign that the fear she put in others worked but also a sign that the walls she built up after her mother's death kept all the pain and unnecessary feelings out. Her students either hated her or feared her, there was no sign of affection like Jack's students had for him. The brunette had built up walls over time where she distanced herself from the people around her, pushing them away to a certain distance that was comfortable enough.
Some people even knew her as the sweet caring girl she used to be before her mother's death, granted those people probably forgot over time because she became more cold by the day. It was quite surprising that a man like Donovan even bothered loving her, bothered getting to know her and it was more suprising that she let him in. The young woman let out a small yawn and looked at Donovan before looking at the breakfast. "Always so charming." yet she knew there was something behind it. Ariella wasn't stupid and knew Donovan had planned something.. she just didn't know what he had planned.
"It is but I feel like my father is trying to use this job to get me to.. be more human I suppose." she said and frowned. "Why else would he even suggest I work with children who's intellect is below freezing point?" she frowned. "You know I worked for years, ever since I even was able to get near a cauldron to become this skilled at potions and yet.. it's like.. he doesn't even care. I have a potions master title and he doesn't care.." she shrugged. "Eh I am not going to worry about it." she then took another bite from the food. "So hours huh? What makes you unable to sleep?"

Donovan had been nervous most of the morning but he had finally calmed down to the point of making a meal for her, making sure he had the ring. The Auror could feel the box in his sweatpants pocket, perhaps burning a hole in the fabric. He wanted this to be perfect, he wanted to make sure she was happy with the breakfast. It seemed to be working because she was eating it and ranting about her father. The possible future father-in-law - the man that hated his guts. Donovan wasn’t entirely stupid, he knew how the man felt about Auror’s. How he wanted his daughter to breakup with him because of his job. The risk of Samuel Tyrell going to prison was getting higher and higher by the day. Donovan knew that it was his job to put dangerous wizards away and if it came down to it, he’d put the male in his rightful place in the prison.
”I think your father just wants to make sure your future is clear and out of danger.” he said softly, putting a hand on her knee, smiling a bit as he thought about what he was going to do. ”He’s never going to approve of me. You know what, right?” he asked, looking at her with a tiny frown.
”The job. Trying to go after dangerous wizards...it can be stressful in the field.” he admitted,

Her father was always going to be in her shadow, whether it was his influences or the mere fact that he was one of the most dangerous people in the world. Ariella honestly didn't think Donovan would stick around knowing where she is from, who her father is and what her future would hold. Soon she was going to be one of the most dangerous women this world has seen when she takes on her father's position, Donovan would need to deal with that as much as he was dealing with her father. When it came down to it, would he imprison her as well?
The brunette looked at Donovan and though she felt bad for talking about the man, she knew Donovan was aware the risks of dating her were quite high. Ariella didn't think her dad cared that much about her well being as long as she was alive and strong enough to take the job. Ariella arched her brow when Donovan brought up that her father won't approve of him and she really didn't know why she should care that much. The young woman cocked her head not sure where he was going with this.
"I know and I really don't care. He is the last person who should judge me since he can't keep his dick in his pants for longer than five minutes when he meets a new woman." she told him and though she should maybe be more reserved with her opinion she surely was not. Her father knew very well what she thought of his reproduction factory setting. "He's going to need to accept the fact that I am not like him and that there is only one man for me." she didn't want Donovan to leave. This better not be a breakup breakfast.

One day Donovan might have to do the unthinkable and take Samuel Tyrell down, but right now there’s not enough evidence to put the man away. The male didn’t even want to think about what that could mean with his relationship with Ariella, he didn’t want to lose her. It scared the crap out of him when he thought about her taking over for her father, and the chance of him having to put away the woman he loved. It made Donovan sick to his stomach, so sick he wanted to toss himself out of a moving muggle airplane. Would he be able to have a family of his own one day? No idea. He knew Ariella wasn’t one to commit to having children in her future.
There was a tiny smile on Donovan’s face as she said she didn’t care about what her father thought about her and her boyfriend. When she said there was only one man for her, he grinned and nodded. ”That man is lucky…” he said and reached into his sweatpants pocket, grasping the box with the ring in it.
”And that man is sitting right in front of you. Wants to spend the rest of his life with you.” he said and pulled out the box. He opened it, revealing the ring and looked at her. It was now or never. ”And that man wants to call you his wife….” he said, looking down at the ring for a moment. ”Will you marry me?”
