With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Mavican was beyond happy. Her team won the game and she wanted to take in the victory for a little bit longer. Mavican hated how the negative atmosphere had affected everyone but she knew this was her year, this is the year she would help bring the cup to the Ravenclaw house. Truth be told she already had some plans and ideas to tell the team and though her strategy was savage, Gryffindor should've done better.
Mavican let out a small sigh as she sat on the tribune, looking at the sky. This is where she often came to think, where she came to get through moments of her life in her head and reflect. Honestly there aren't many places where Mavican felt at peace, at ease but the pitch, the pitch was like a home for her.
The redhead arched her brow when she saw someone walk up to her and smiled a bit. "How did you know I was here?"
Morgan had been searching the castle for her best friend, but couldn’t think as to where she was at for the first thirty minutes. Okay, maybe she should blame her injuries that she had received over the holidays by the one and only Apollo Fitzgerald. Even though he apologized for what had happened, Dallas wasn’t entirely forgiving because Apollo had harmed one of the two women he held close to his heart. At least it didn’t turn into a bloodbath, and Apollo had regretted every decision he had made that evening of the attack. Morgan forgave him, and even though she was healed, she had nightmares. What if things had gone wrong?
A sigh escaped Morgan when she remembered that her best friend would often go think somewhere, and she decided to try her luck at the Quidditch pitch. Of course it should have been the first place she would have looked but she didn’t think about that. When she had made her way up, she frowned as she realized that something could be running through her friend’s mind. She returned the smile as she moved to adjust the jacket she was wearing. ”Well, honestly, I’ve been looking for you for the past half hour and my brain didn’t think about checking here. And it should have.” she said and pulled out a chocolate candy bar out of her jacket pocket. ”What brings you out here? It’s kinda cold.”
Mavican had many things on her mind and the one thing she thought about now more than ever was Casey. The girl had found a way to her heart and when she told Mavican she loved her after they won the match, it made everything inside her feel like it was the right time. The redhead cocked her head a bit as she eyed Morgan and patted on the seat beside her before even answering her friend's questions.
"I like to think about things here." she said and hummed. "Like I know I have made mistakes over time but this place.." she said and motioned to the pitch. "Right here, I can do no wrong, I cannot afford mistakes and yet..." she looked at Morgan. "I don't feel like I make a difference." she added and let out a small sigh as she held her hand out for chocolate.
"How has your Christmas been? Haven't seen you around much." she said and bit her lip for a moment.
Morgan had a lot on her plate, from studying to worry about both of her brothers. They were the only boys she would protect, and would die for no matter the cost. Before their parents were murdered, she had a talk with them about if anything should happen to them - that she would be the person responsible for the money, and looking out for them. The female had made it this far, trying to make sure both of her boys were staying out of trouble, and goddamn she couldn’t believe her kid brother was growing up before her eyes. It scared the crap out of her, and she wonders if he needed her. She felt useless but she didn’t say anything, nor does she want too.
Morgan had taken a seat next to her best friend, breaking the piece of chocolate as she listened to her and handed her the piece, before she popped the other half into her mouth. ”You’re only human, Mavi. You will make a huge difference, no matter where you are.” she said, looking out of the Quidditch pitch. ”I think I missed my chance in playing.” she said and trailed off for a moment.
Her mind went back to the Christmas break, and her memory playing the last talk she had with her parents. ”It could’ve been better. Apollo decided to show up, and you can imagine what he did.” she said, looking over at her. ”He went ape shit, and I got the biggest hit from him.”
Mavican could only imagine how much Morgan had on her plate, it's why she lately hasn't come to her with her own worries, her own troubles. She just didn't want to worry her best friend with that too knowing her brother was still out there and little Skylar was growing up too. The redhead remembered when he was born, when they were all just little kids.
Mavican ate from the chocolate and nodded when Morgan said she was only human. "I know I am but.. I work... so hard and sometimes I feel like no matter how much good a person does.. the bad always will overshadow it." she said and sighed as she looked at her hands. "You know it's human nature to always remember the bad over the good?" she asked Morgan.
"It's never too late, just try out." she suggested. They had a whole year ahead of them after this. Spots would open up and a new season would start. "That guy always had his dick in a twist." she said with a small frown. "Why was he going apeshit anyway? Did he catch Dallas and Artemis making out?" she teased. Truth be told the guy always had a temper. It was very attractive for a while but Mavican got over it. "Why attack you of all people?"
Morgan knew damn well what her best friend was talking about, and she let out a long sigh. Yeah, she always remembered the night of her parents murder. It wasn’t something she wanted to remember but she had no choice. Sure, she didn’t remember much that night but overtime flashes of it came back to her which caused her nightmares. Sometimes the girl wished she could go back in time, and save her parents from this. It’ll spare her own mental health, along with her kid brothers. She was worried about him, worried about what this loss was doing to him. Maybe she should reach out more, hangout with him before it was too late.
Morgan had made a face at the mention of it not being too late to tryout and she shuddered at the thought. She was going to leave Quidditch to her best friend and her little brother. Last thing she needed was to play against her little brother. He was dangerous on that broom.
Her eyes had trained on the pitch for a moment as she thought about Apollo. ”He wanted to scare off Peter. Something about the Russians are in town coming after him. But I think he was just...trying to get him to leave just in case they were. You know how protective he is over Artie.” she said as she looked at her friend. ”Because I stepped in the way to make sure he didn’t harm anyone.”
