With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Mavican was enjoying being at Hogwarts. Honestly after the attack everything calmed down nicely and she had a good time. The redhead cocked her head to the side a bit as she walked through the snow, the cold touching her cheeks making her pale skin turn a shade of pink, her freckles standing out a bit as it did. Mavican thought about all the bad shit happening and honestly she wasn't there during the attack but god forbid her friends causing that shit.
Mavican didn't like the idea of her friends getting hurt so of course she checked up on them all but now she just wanted to enjoy being in the snow, enjoyed being in the outside weather. Snowflakes were falling down from the skies but that didn't matter, the snowflakes sticking to her red curls just felt nice and not like a bother. Mavi stuck her tongue out trying to catch a snowflake. Come on she could do this.

Casey had been still smiling like an idiot days after the Quidditch game, and catching the snitch was replaying in her mind. The female was glad that Mavican had managed to knock the Gryffindor seeker off his broom. They had the game in the bag, and Casey was glad that they were advancing to fight the Hufflepuff team. Sure, Casey was going to be playing against her brother and they were rivals on the pitch. They fought like siblings, and there were times when Jonah almost knocked Casey off her broom when he was trying to fly past her. The siblings loved each other, but not when they’re playing for the cup.
Casey had decided to go for a walk, her hands shoved into the pockets of her jacket and her face was hal covered by a cloth to protect her mouth and nose from the cold. She had no idea where Mavican had disappeared too, but she knew she could be hanging out with her friends. But when the seeker had walked outside, she noticed the redhead in question. The female stopped, watching her with amusement and she hopped a bit to keep herself from shuddering.
The moment Mavican had stuck her tongue out, Casey moved forward with a smirk (even if it was hidden). ”You know, there’s other ways to use that tongue of yours.”
As soon as Mavican caught a snowflake her eyes had landed on her girlfriend approaching her from a distance, she wasn't close enough yet but she did hear the words coming from Casey, making the redhead chuckle as she licked her cold lips before turning to look at Casey who had half her face covered against the cold. Mavican never seemed to be bothered by the cold and always enjoyed the snow.
Mavican let out a small sigh and nodded. "Oh I know I can.. glad you haven't forgotten." She winked and wrapped her arms around Casey. "Don't you love the snow? Did you ever make snow angels before?" she asked and winked before letting go of her girlfriend and letting herself fall back into the snow. Mavican moved her arms and legs as she tried to make a snow angel.
Casey had a good couple of months with Mavican, and she was actually becoming more bold with her words whenever her girlfriend was around. It sounded weird to say, but that’s the truth. Mavican Jones was her girlfriend, Mavican Jones was someone she fell head over heels for. It was no secret cause after she had caught that snitch during the game, she had said the three words that had been at the tip of her tongue all day that day. It was a spur of the moment thing, but Casey had meant it and was even embarrassed by it that she had tried to apologize for her words. It was still something she would cringe on whenever she was daydreaming. It could have gone better.
Casey hated the cold, and would rather hide inside than outside but...she wasn’t going to chicken out. ”I do love the snow, yes.” she said, and grinned. ”Just don’t like the cold.” she admitted with a tiny whine in her voice. She watched as her girlfriend fell back, attempting to make a snow angel. ”I haven’t really. I would rather be inside making hot chocolate.” she said, and stepped over her, legs spread on each side of Mavican as she looked down at her.
Mavican was a happy little redhead, soon the winter would be gone and all there would be left was the flowers coming to bloom. Like new love the flowers would flaunt themselves to everyone who could see it. The redhead looked up at her girlfriend who really didn't seem to enjoy being out here. Maybe being a street rat for a couple of years had toughened Mavican up when she had to deal with cold winters being on her own rather than in a warm home.
"But snow is fun." she said with a playful pout and when Casey stood over her Mavican reached up for her hands, hoping to pull her down on top of her. The redhead wanted to have fun but Casey really seemed to want some hot chocolate so why not both? "Mmm well if you can lift me off here... I will come with you." she said and batted her eyelashes, snow sticking to it.
"Okay I'm blind." she said getting a snowflake in her eye.
Truth be told, Casey never really found the time to play in the snow when she was younger and was afraid her father might judge her for it. But the old man wasn’t there at Hogwarts to make her life a living hell, and it’s been a while since she heard from the bastard. She had looked at Mavican, and the redhead seemed to be having fun, and she knew she could take away the fun for the other girl. What kind of girlfriend was she? The girl had taken her hands when her girlfriend had reached out for her, and she laughed a bit when she heard that she was blinded.
To humor her girlfriend, Casey slowly lowered herself, straddling her legs and took off a glove to try to get rid of the snowflakes that was blinding her girlfriend. ”Yeah, we can’t have that. Hold still…” she said, and slowly reached out to get rid of the snowflakes.
There was a smile on her face when it seemed like she had cleared it. ”Looks good…”
Mavican as a kid always found a way to have fun even when she was having it rough. Her mother never gave a damn unless she had to keep appearances and since two years ago that ended as well. Mavican had gotten older and less important to her mother as time went on. The redhead tried to make the best out of life even when other people often disagreed with her methods, she was there. She survived.
Mavican looked at Casey and tried not to flinch as she watched her finger come closer to her eye. She loved her but Mavican hated anything coming near her eyes so it was quite difficult right now to stay as still as she could be, in the cold snow so Casey could take away the snowflake from her lashes.
"Did you get it?" she asked before blinking, her eyes were itching and she had to blink. "Well that was fun." Mavican moved her head up a bit to steal a kiss and smirked. "Of course I look good, when do I not?"
Casey had taken off the mask she had been protecting her mouth, and nose from the cold. It was terrible, and she hated what the cold could do to someone’s lungs. It bothered her, but she wasn’t going to let it get to her that day. It wasn’t like she was doing her running up and down the Quidditch stands. Instead she was with her girlfriend, and the thought made her smile when Mavican stole a quick kiss. Casey moved to put the gloves back on, smiling a bit at her and leaned down to give her another kiss but slow. Maybe this will keep her warm.
”Mhm. Good question.” she said and leaned back while still straddling her girlfriend on the ground. ”The snow looks good in your hair. It’s just so beautiful.” she commented as she put her hand in the way of another falling snowflake ready to blind Mavican again.

The redhead was very fond of snow, it was fun and she wanted to spend time with it as much as she could before it disappeared. The redhead looked at Casey with a smile, her girlfriend had the most beautiful blue eyes. She was enjoying the winter and looked at Casey with a chuckle before kissing her back. The slow kiss making her feel warm and fuzzy inside.
"Mmmm." she grinned and ran her finger along Casey's cheek. "Your eyes are even more beautiful." she whispered. She watched Casey catch a snowflake and just kissed her finger. "I do, it's so beautiful and as a snowflake so fragile but when there are a lot of them... they're strong." she chuckled.
"I used to hate winters but I learned to love it."
Even though Casey had a bad relationship with her father, people told her she had her father’s eyes. The light blue eyes some would call lusty blue - and sometimes it would upset the female. At least it was something both her and her father had in common besides the love for the game. There was a time when she swore she saw him in the stands in the past but perhaps it was her eyes playing games on her. Perhaps he was there to watch her brothers instead - it was something she’d like to tell herself because he would never approve of his daughter playing a man’s sport.
”I hate how cold it gets. But I do remember the times my brother Finn and I would go outside to play in it. But nowadays I find it boring. Maybe it's because Jonah refuses to do anything with me. He’s busy chasing girls.” she said and gave the castle a quick glance. Maybe she should find her brother, see if he wanted to do anything with her.
