With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Dear Mr. Panin-Sutherland,
I have been pleased to hear of your arrival in Britain, as one of my associates has informed me that you have been working for the rights of a particular group of witches and wizards in your previous location. If you are still interested in such activities here, I believe I have an association that could be of some use to you, and you to us.
I would prefer not to disclose more details until I have confirmation of your interest. Thank you in advance for understanding--I work for a world in which we would not have to be so secretive, but you know that we have not yet achieved this.
Between you and the setting sun you're doing the best you can do

Dear S.,
While this letter has caught me by surprise, do not think it has in any way detered me. I would like to state beforehand that I have a great disliking towards secrecy, and I'd prefer to be open about my allegiances - to at least some degree that doesn't impact our... colleagues. I've been here for a month and I'm still managing the Inn alone, as my job advertisement demands a positive attitude towards the people mentioned previously.
I am ready to provide shelter, food and some degree of financial support if it is needed. (Unless anyone can't eat wheat based foods, I am a baker by speciality.)

Dear Mr. Panin-Sutherland,
I am very glad to hear about your continued passion for our cause. We need every heart we can get--and as you mentioned, every bit of food and shelter we can get as well. Having your support would mean much to many people, I believe. I know it would mean much to me, to see you help.
Though I understand your desire for openness, it is something I still cannot provide from myself at this time. You may not be in danger of bodily harm, but many of us are in such danger, whether they engage in activism or not. It is the sad truth of the times we live in.
But to that end, I could, in the future, send one of my associates to speak with you and provide further information. I, too, could speak with you in person, but I would find it necessary to create a further basis of trust. If this were three years ago, perhaps I would not have to write so cryptically, but this is simply no longer possible.
Between you and the setting sun you're doing the best you can do

Dear S.,
I understand your precautions considering any physical harm that could be done. I'd rather it be me that gets hurt for my stance than your people for things they can't change.
I also understand that my location -- Hogsmeade -- is not the most desirable for such meetings, as there are several aurors stationed here, and I've heard that letters to and from Hogwarts will be monitored, and I fear that they might target my correspondence too. Floo network is connected to the Ministry, so that doesn't work either.

Dear A.P.S.,
That's the spirit I like to hear. Of course I would not want you to come to any harm if possible, but someone who is brave enough to stand along with us--that's rarer than you think.
I, too, don't believe that Hogsmeade is particularly safe, but you've bought a place there, so there's not much that can be done about that. It would be good to have someone such as yourself stationed there anyway. I would hope the Aurors don't read your mail--if they're prying into the lives of average citizens, there's even more for me to worry about.
Please let me know if you would like to meet with someone and I will arrange security measures.
Between you and the setting sun you're doing the best you can do

Dear S.,
I will do my best to deter the Ministry from intruding my into my private life, but if they do get too pushy, I'll let you know somehow.
I do not know if your Ministry tracks instances of apparition? I can apparate to about a distance of a 100 miles at one time until I become exhausted, and if it is not tracked, then perhaps we can organize an apparition point in the Inn basement if the need arises. I've also taken it upon myself to help with the morale of the students, especially ones with afflicted siblings. They're not allowed to visit Hogsmeade, but I've had a Muggle Studies lesson as a guest teacher, so I find my ways. I only wish I would have been able to deter some of them from attacking the Winter Ball, but perhaps that might serve as a push towards action.
I would like to meet with your associates as soon as possible.

Dear A.S.P.,
As far as I know, they only trace instances of apparition by underage witches and wizards. Here, they're not allowed a license until they turn seventeen--I know it is different in other countries. Unfortunately those who haven't had access to training have never learned, even when they are older. I can, but I can't say the same for everyone I take care of.
I've heard about the Winter Ball, and it worries me greatly. Violence is rarely the best way to achieve progress. We can hope that some good might result of it, but I have my doubts. Better to show good citizenship than to be antagonistic.
Keep watch for a further letter; I will enclose instructions for a meeting there.
