With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Being here for the holidays with her little sister felt like a reunion she didn't know she needed. Morgan was enjoying time with her brothers, Mara and Peter were spending time with Elijah and that left Artemis for Ryker right now. The brunette had made hot chocolate which was a signature drink here it seems and handed Artemis one as they both sat outside on the porch, looking at the others goofing around and making a fire.
Ryker wasn't really dressed for the woods, she had her five inch heels, her body held warm by a coat though and she spotted a blanket that she had taken outside with her to share. The porch had a large swing and it was quite comfortable with some pillows. Ryker used a spell to keep them warm so they stayed that comfortable before even speaking to Artemis.
"Hey mama bear." she said with a smile and held out the cup of hot chocolate. "You really created a little family here haven't you?" she asked softly and watched the others goof around. "Thank you for taking care of her, I know I wrote it to you but I do mean it. Mara needs people to care about her while the world is falling apart." she said and gave Artemis a smile.

Artemis had been sitting on the porch swing, her arms around the blanket Morgan had given her moments before Ryker had joined her. The announcement she had made a couple of nights ago was still replaying in her head. Yes, Artemis Fitzgerald was pregnant with Dallas Reid’s spawn, and she had no idea how she felt about it. The thought of motherhood had scared the crap out of her, and she sometimes wondered if it was good to raise a child with all the werewolf laws were being placed. The thought of this was stressing out the mother to be, and she had snapped out of it when Ryker joined her on the swing. Her hands taking the hot chocolate, and she wrapped her hands around the hot mug.
There was a low hum as she took a tiny sip of the hot chocolate, and she nodded at her friend. ”They’re my family. All of them. And Mara’s been such a help.” she said and looked at her good friend. ”It’s funny that you were just saying in an owl that Dallas and I would make cute babies, and now I’m carrying his child. It’s like you jinxed me, Young.” she said, and grinned.
”It’s no problem. They’re a blessing to have.” she said as she looked toward the Reid’s in time for Morgan to jump on her brother’s back. ”Seems like Morgan is feeling better after the close call. I’m sorry for my brother’s actions the other night. He had no right just barging in the way he did.” she said, and frowned a bit.
Artemis had never seen her brother worked up as bad as he was.
At least the trouble was gone. Apollo wasn’t going to let it drop that Peter was with them. He wouldn’t want to risk Artemis’ life.
Ryker had seen how they developed a tiny family of their own, it was adorable to say the least. Ryker had always hoped that they managed to find a way to live their lives without anyone harming them and them being able to be safe. The world wasn't safe and she knew damn well the ministry wasn't going to change their minds anytime soon, not without change. The brunette smiled a bit when Artemis spoke, her friend was so kind and yet they world did this to her. It wasn't fair to say the least.
"Maybe I did, can you imagine? One chat with me and boom you're pregnant." she laughed. "I thought only men were supposed to be able to do that." she teased and eyed her sister for a moment. "She seems happy here, I haven't seen her in so long I almost forgot what her smile looked like." She admitted. Ryker nodded when she mentioned Morgan and bit her lip.
"Yeah she didn't deserve that but he was just... so angry." Ryker almost killed him that night. "I'm sorry for hurting your brother.." she said and bit her lip. "He was out of control.. I couldn't let anyone else get harmed." she admitted. The fact that he was ready to hurt people, wolves like him, they were the reason these people were feared.
"I wish you guys could come back with us.." she said softly.

Having extra people to take care of was a distraction in a way, made Artemis focus on them and not what’s going on around them. The game nights they would have whenever they’re bored and the cable isn’t working was something the blonde quite enjoyed. Believe it or not, they weren’t all this close when they were at school. Truth be told, she was only friends with a fair few and didn’t talk to Mara was much as she did now. Life changed, people change over time. When Artemis had noticed the two young wolves on their own, she had to let them in and well, they were still there. At least she wasn’t lonely anymore.
”Maybe this is your baby.” she commented, and winked at her friend before she looked at her little family.
”Eh, Apollo deserved it. Trust me, he won’t do it again. He’s not going to risk hurting me or my...child. God, that sounds so weird.” she said, and chuckled softly as she placed a hand on her stomach. Soon she would show, and she had no idea what she’ll do about it. ”I like it here. I mean I miss being at the castle with my friends, but I’ve gotten used to this.” she shook her head.
